Great location right by Charlie’s creek cafe where you can grab a morning coffee or meals right til the evening. Charlie’s creek walking track is right there which takes you into town under the bridge. The accommodation consists of beautiful decor throughout using recycled timber and bits and bobs giving a lovely country style rustic look. Accomodation was very comfortable and the room was larger than I expected from the photos. I loved the communal outdoor fire place which was already set up with plenty of extra wood and easy to light and keep going. I took my dog and we had a great time. I felt very welcome there. Easy to find, friendly greeting and help from Leanne, beautiful place.
It was all good

Lovely old homestead with a choice of accommodation within the homestead or in beautifully appointed rustic cottages overlooking the creek. Some with private outdoor baths! We really enjoyed Charley's Place, a small open air rustic building with an open fire. Perfect for winter sundowners! Very obliging host who made us feel very welcome. She gave us a tour of the property and shared its history. Also, there is an option of breakfast on the homestead verandah.
The work & passion that has gone into this place is amazing! However, our family room bathroom in the homestead was begging for renovation, but I'm sure this will happen in due course. Google maps won't take you to the right place!! Call ahead for directions!

Full of Hospitality and Country Charm We loved the location, exploring the cottages echoing the days when the property was a working farm. Great experience for everyone. Can kayak up creek with gear to fishing spots. Love how outdoor fire places available (private and communal) free firewood. Bonus free use of Kayaks, life jackets supplied and wonderful service. Great breakfast available too.
Pack the insect repellent, we did not think about mozzies, cabins close to the creek. Mozzies not good, but property perfect, mosquito coils provided. 👍

The property is gorgeous and bedding was perfect.
Possibly not the fault of owner but there was a fly or spider in the kettle and I went to rinse it out to have a tea late that night and discovered it was also covered in ants. So didn’t end up having my tea. We had rain so not sure what brought the ants. And not sure if jug had been checked. No cold water in fridge. And WI-FI did not work in our cabin only outside of the cabin.

Very cute and rustic cottages which have been hand built by the owner. Beds and room were very comfortable. Staff were readily available and very friendly and helpful. A good continental breakfast was available on the balcony of the main homestead at a reasonable price.
Very poor wifi. Unable to connect with wifi network within in the room as the signal didn’t reach within our cottage. Although there seemed to be another wifi guest network available with stronger wifi signal that reached within the room, the staff did not know the password to this network. A compendium in the room with instructions to connect to wifi would have been helpful. Need to drive back into town for meals as no restaurant close by.

The chookery was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway cabin. Lea was friendly, welcoming and helpful with a tour of the property. We loved the history and the mix of indoor/outdoor our cabin provided. Relaxing start to each day with coffee on the deck watching the sunrise and wildlife a bonus. We will most certainly be returning.

This is a special retreat - lovely cabins with luxurious feel and heritage character, airy and private, located along the creek among lovely gardens, including chickens that provide fresh eggs for breakfast in the heritage homestead. Beautiful place! Such a world of difference between this and the average motel/hotel and for the same price.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Laurels. The rooms were beautifully decorated with rustic, shabby chic charm. The host was extremely friendly and especially accommodating to the needs of our family. The continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful. I would definitely recommend Laurels to anyone visiting Chinchilla.

The Cabin on the River was clean and well maintained. The owner made us so welcome, showed us around and provided special breakfast items for us to enjoy in the morning. The location was quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Dinner and snack by the River and a bath tub with heated water on the River bank was amazing to watch the sky.
Everything as perfect

Absolutely beautiful couples getaway. Each room offers unique experiences, the location is quite rare. Rooms are perfectly eclectic, styled with elegance and poise. You can come prepared with own food or allow the beautiful staff to lavish you with delectable meals.
The location is gorgeous, outside bath in the outback is indescribable. You just need to be aware that in choosing an outback romantic getaway, your near naked body in a bath overlooking stunning river scenery will be a smorgasbord for mosquitoes.
