Being French, having lived in Spain, I would not have thought that I would find the best ham in Sardinia but here it was. The restaurant is worth the detour, and the restaurant staff was exceptional. Definitely amazing food. The hotel is beautiful, and it is quite the view. It is very much nested in the countryside. With a car, it can be an interesting point of anchor. One of the hotel staff members was really helpful and went above and beyond to help us out.

- The spa and the gym comes at hefty additional cost and it is not a pleasant, if you pick a four star hotel is to enjoy the amenities, it should be part of the price. It was a disappointment considering the hotel is not centrally located. - The hotel staff was a bit versatile, one member was more than helpful and she did all she could to help, the other was a bit more standoff ish. - It was not clear how large the property is vs. description.

We initially arrived to a different hotel (5*) booked for the entire stay. We quickly realized that 5* standard in Sardinia is not what you get in other countries. The value for money is very low. You feel being ripped off for everything. Facilities very old.. luckily and by chance we found Tenuta Pilastru. The big difference to many hotels we checked on Sardinia is 1) Professional employees - great service everywhere (which is not given in Italy) from reception to restaurant (we were given also free upgrade of the room as it had no balcony - very nice gesture, and we actually prolonged our stay!) 2) NEW facilities, also not given in Italy. Not bland colors and old furniture. New bathroom, new bedroom, everything is of high quality and new, finally felt back to 2023 (in other hotel it was back in 70s). 3) location - is great hidden in the nature, beautiful to relax. Very well taken care of! 4) food in the restaurant was great and not overpriced, freshly made and very tasty.

The only point would be about a weak Wi-Fi but given we are fully in the nature it’s ok for me. We wanted to go so spa but once we saw that there were like 8 people we decided to cancel ( a bit to small for this amount of people, I would keep it to make 4 people and have more air inside).

You feel like you are staying in a village, the staff at the pool bar were excellent and in the restaurant they were polite and smiling.

The mishandling of room reservations by the reception delayed our arrival at our excursion boat that fortunately we arrived in the last minute. In general, the reception was apathetic and without a smile, with a few exceptions. The information and notification of small service charges was a surprise due to the lack of information (towels and room water).The room was clean but the bathroom had a strange smell of urine, probably from the maintenance room in the next door.you need a car and It takes half an hour to reach cities.

We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta Pilastru. The estate is beautiful and full of charm, with spotless and comfortable rooms and absolutely delicious food. The whole place has such cosy vibes, you instantly feel cheerful and at ease the moment you arrive. What truly made the difference was the staff: genuinely friendly, attentive, and with an eye for every detail that makes a holiday feel special. From start to finish we felt warmly welcomed, a place we will gladly recommend and hope to return to one day.

Peaceful and beautiful location - great to be close to the amazing rocks the define the scenery in this part of Sardinia. Evening dinners were delicious and very good value compared to prices in coastal restaurants. Room was spacious - we had the little apartment with self catering opportunity. Pool cafe made lovely salads for lunch. Reception team and all staff were very friendly and helpful for advice on what to do and reservations etc.

Bed was very hard but they did provide a topper which helped a bit after we asked. Room was not serviced at all in 8 days although we could have paid a fee to have this - would have been good to be provided with extra bin bags and told where to put rubbish etc if no service for such a long rental. We tried breakfast once but didn’t feel it was that great for €40 after how good the evening food is so was happy to have the self catering option for breakfast. The spa was only open in the afternoon (strange since most people would exercise in the morning before breakfast) and the prices for treatment are reasonable but I never managed to get an appointment in time - use of the gym and indoor pool is paid and you have to pre book which seemed OTT and hence did not use it.

My husband and I, had a really great vacation in this wonderful location nested in a breathtaking environmental quite green area. The spring is full with amazing smelly beautiful flowers and bright colours. Very useful to have a powerful high-speed wifi. The staff was very attentive, always present , and ready to give us details about where to go and what to do: the famous Sardinian Carnival !! The authentic beauty of Carnival in Sardinia , identity and passion, allure and mystery, a celebration whose roots are buried deep in ancient pagan rites. Highly recommended.

We had asked for a quiet room and that is exactly what we had. It was beautiful. The room had its own little garden, protected from the Maestral winds that sometimes comes through. We were nearby the pool and poolside cafe, but you couldn’t see them from the room, meaning others couldn’t see us. We had shade from trees and our own lounge chairs in the garden. It was perfect for a tranquil get-away. The parking was easy.

We didn’t find out until day 2 that the tap water isn’t potable and they charge for bottled water.

The room was a good size for two people, clean and comfortable, although a few more flat surfaces to put things on would be useful. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant staff were lovely. Evening meals in the restaurant were also very good. The pool looked inviting and was kept clean and tidy. Reception staff spoke good English and were friendly.

There are lots of slopes, steps and uneven paths in the property. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room which was churning out hot air on a warm day. We turned it off and, after a somewhat heated discussion, this was rectified the next day. Air conditioning temperature seems to be centrally controlled and you don't seem able to set your own preference. There was only one bin in the room and that was in the bathroom - could do with a second bin by the desk in the room.

We had a great stay. The staff were friendly and the views from the apartment were great. The breakfast was a good buffet and the dinner was well cooked food.

The apartment was comfortable, but probably not as well equipped as we might have hoped. That being said, extras were provided on request. The time of year we went was very much end of season, and we would love to see how different the place is then! We would love to be able to have a few walking routes developed around the property.

we came to this spectacular estate out of sheer curiosity and we can confirm that everything was simply fantastic, the typical Italian welcome we always enjoy, smiles and cheerfulness, good food and spacious, clean and well-kept rooms! The restaurant is one of the highlights and I highly recommend trying the fresh pasta made during the cooking class, the ‘Mazza Frissa’ and the barbecued suckling pig!The estate offers the possibility of pleasant walks, of being completely immersed in nature from the very first waking up when the silence and the scents of the countryside greet you. I had the pleasure of getting to know the identity culture of this wonderful island and I am happy to have stayed in this magnificent place.
