we were received very well by a polite staff. After check-in we got a welcome drink and cake before being taken to the room which was nice. We were also informed about sights in the area of ​​the hotel and places nearby. The food was very good and the swimming pool was clean and the place is great for families with children. It is quiet and peaceful in scenic surroundings and they also have a show with birds. We had a very nice stay and would recommend this hotel.

Oh, the welcome drink. Something to die for. Staff from Nenia all the way to Ate Dang were superb, from breakfast buffet to lunch buffet, all the kitchen staff who prepared packed breakfast due to early flight changes were so accomodating. Apparently, we did not get to explore everything as we arrived too late to check in due to one of us needs medical attention and have to leave early because of airline changed their flight schedule from evening to early morning flight.

The accomodation, Legacy Villa, is massive that could sleep the whole village 😁😁 and nice but needs new cosmetics as it is a bit out dated and needs refurb esp the bathrooms, bathroom taps, shower.... water supply is slow knowing Davao is abundant with regards to water. Only in Philippines you can find a bucket inside shower room or bath tubs.

Just come and enjoy this magical place. You will stay in some kind of natural attraction park, with so many animals around (not like a zoo, but rather a big family who loves and takes care of friendly birds, horses, carabaos, and so on). I personally enjoyed feeding all the animals, such as birds, horses, and goats :) I was personally worried about some rooms not having a fridge and the restaurant closing at 9pm… but it's not an issue because the staff can provide ice boxes. Also, there are many water tanks around with cold water 24/24, and you can easily order additional food or any drink/wine/cocktails to your room for your evening. All the place is just so modern and perfectly maintained. The pool, the breakfast, and all amenities are just perfect too. There are so many staff here who are on duty to make you enjoy your stay. For any concerns, just ask and somebody helpful will be ready to help. Special thanks to Nina, the most professional manager we have ever met in all of our travels in Asia. She works all day around the resort to ensure the full satisfaction of all the guests. Big respect for someone so valuable. It's sure our family with kid will miss this unique place. So, if you travel around Davao, don't fail to visit Malagos Garden Resort; you will never forget it.

I would like to thank all the employees of malagos hotel resort for such a wonderful welcome to the hotel. The rooms were very clean with good arrangement. The food was very good. One would like to eat more but the stomach will not allow. There are a lot of attractions, from the reserve of butterflies ,birds also to the chocolate museum, mariposa museum and more. Children will also find entertainment here the feeding of birds, Koi, horse, goat and duck, horseback riding and the calesa ride and also the birdshow. Malagos Garden Resort is a family friendly place to connect and appreciate nature. The activities and food are excellent. The villa that we stayed in is very comfortable and had a relaxing ambiance. The staff particular the female security staff helped us a lot and also the female staff manager was very accommodating.

Had some problems upon checkout because the card machine had some issues. I suggested if I can settle my bills the day before the checkout but the reception staff refused and said to settle the bill for the day tour and buffet upon checkout. Unfortunately, the card machine was not working.

The chalet was very pretty and well arranged. We had a problem with the lock, which needed replacement. This was done within 1 hour. The service worked very quickly. The pool, which is only accessible to checked-in-guests is great!

We had to leave to the airport in the morning and phoned to the reception at 05.30 for the driver to pick us up. But there was no driver. So, we had to carry our baggage from the Chalet to the reception, which is about a 5 minutes drive by car. The internet was slow.

The location is beautiful and quiet. Staff was very attentive and helpful, always motivated to improve our experience, even the jacuzzi was prepared on our arrival. The room was clean and spacious.

The communication to book an airport pickup was exhausting, as we did not get a clear confirmation until the very last day. Price for airport pickup was also very steep. The resort is a long drive from the airport but its still way overcharged. The room was surprisingly mosquito-free for the location and very nice and spacious, the shower seemed a bit basic and out of place in comparison with the rest of the room. I somewhat expected to have a mosquito net in the room, but surprisingly there was none. We were cautious and slept with insect spray applied. Facilities are clean, but some of the on location museums are not well looked after.

Love their food and the staff are so courteous and helpful esp the manager Ms Nina Eva. Despite a small mishap, she goes her extra mile to see to it that we will get the best time. Personally giving us a tour and providing us shuttle rides when available. My mom was so elated with the surprise they have for her bday. Thank you so much for giving her a birthday to remember.

Only one thing... Their hot and cold shower. In our room, it didn't function thus we transferred to another one. On the second room, it only functioned a bit. After which, it did not.

Everything ...the staff were so friendly...made me feel like a king...I will return just too see the staff that were very nice.

Malagos Garden Resort truly maintains, even got better, its legacy and beautiful resort. It represents the authentic Davao hospitality. My booking, pre-arrival communications, stay, and overall experience were EXCELLENT! Shout out to Nina who is so hospitable, professional, and pleasing to communicate with.
