Casolare Nellie Saline was such a lovely place to stay near the salt pans and away from the busyness of Trapani. The room was large, it was gloriously quiet, the hosts were friendly and kind, the breakfast was amazing and, as I ascertained, much of the breakfast home cooked including the marmalade. Not being a marmalade fan normally, theirs was absolutely delicious and I bought a small jar for a small price. The hosts went to so much trouble to provide a very large and varied breakfast even accounting for my food intolerances. They brought us foil to wrap what we didn’t eat to take with us and a bag to put the food in, which was wonderful and so very thoughtful. All in all this is a really lovely place to stay with an abundance of hospitality.

Plenty of space in the room (also, possibility of parking very close to the room). Extremely peaceful and quiet countryside location, with olive trees and a fruit orchard. The host was so sweet and kind, everything felt homely. The breakfast was also fantastic, a lot of food, everything homemade and great mulberries from the tree in the courtyard. We loved this place, definitely recommended!

This b&b is located inside the Trapani salt pans in Nubia, an easy ten-minute drive to Trapani and 30 minutes to Marsala. You need a car to stay here. If you want to experience nature, go bird watching and take long walks in a beautiful setting, this is the place to be. The hosts were always available and cheerful and the breakfasts were the best we had during our four-week trip. There’s more than you could possibly eat and the pastries are home baked and delicious. And don’t forget the fresh squeezed orange juice :)

The rooms looks simple but the have everything you might need. Very quiet place with small orange and lemon orchard. Very helpful host. Breakfast is completely homemade - loved the fresh strawberries, yoghurt, canol and freshly squized fruitjuice. Best Italian coffee too!

Amazing and quiet location next to the salt fiels, just outside of Trapani (10min drive to the center). Breakfast was in fact a "breakfeast". Plenty of food, too much in fact. We received some tin foil and a bag every day to take what was left, and had this for lunch. The sweet breakfast things were always home made and they were absolutely delicious! The hosts are very kind and helpful!

The rooms are super clean, the owner is very helpful and his wife is a great cook. They served us very well with a hearty breakfast different from anywhere else, everything freshly baked and prepared homemade.

Everything was fine. We were fully satisfied.

The location is in the middle of the "Saline" area and it is really amazing, very quiet with beautiful sceneries around. Our hosts were really kind people, but what really stands out is the wonderful breakfast. It's worth staying at Casolare nelle Saline just for its breakfast!

We have enjoyed our four nights very much, thanks to the exceptional beauty of the Saline Landscape, its quietness, and, most of all, the charming and helpful attitude of the very nice host couple. The sicilian Garden and the Breakfest kitchen is phantastic, unlikely to bei topped

We enjoyed everything

The location is lovely, justa stroll from the pituresque Saline and less than 30' from the trapani Airport and 10' from Trapani city centre and the beautiful Erice. The owner of the B&B is a very welcoming and friendly gentleman who made us feel at home from the start. The breakfast was what made the Casolare Nelle Saline stand out. It was by far the best we had in our 10-day long trip in Sicily: homemade cakes and cannoli, fresh fruit from the garden, homemade jam and ricotta: just delicious and truly authentic. Absolutely great.

If we were to suggest an improvement to the B&B Il Casolare Nelle Saline it would be the wi-fi. Unfortunaley it was not great, kind of hit and miss and we could not really make use of it. We appreciate that the property is quite spread out over a large area but sure there must be something that can be done to improve the strength and reliability of the wi-fi signal. We did not have this problem in other B&Bs we visited (in our trip we stayed in 6 different B&B across west sicily!). If the wi-fi was improved, Il Casolare Nelle Saline would get a a round 10/10
