Loved the location, beaches just moments away and pets are allowed (leashed). Food within walking distance. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Room was quiet, and pet friendly.

AC unit was close to the bed, and at head level. TV was set up at the foot of one bed, and didn't swivel. Bathroom tissue holder is almost behind the toilet. Overall not big issues, and didn't over shadow the great location and friendly accommodating staff :)

Clean, comfy, you could park in front of the room. I liked the walk in shower. It was near the beach at the Provincial park, you could see it from the hotel, there are also seats to watch the sunset just beside the Port Hood sign. There are 2 close by restaurants, one with live Celtic music on Wed nights. There is a great little breakfast bakery spot 1-2 km south called Sandeannie’s with a traditional local breakfast (eggs, fish cakes, skirlie) which was great!

Great motel where we spent one night. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner; there were no problems with communication or check-in, although we arrived in the evening. I give it 5 stars for cleanliness! Perfect! There is a microwave, air conditioning, towels, hair dryer, refrigerator, coffee maker, everything worked without fail. The entrance from the main road is convenient, we didn’t have to look for a hotel for long. There is a beautiful beach nearby with a paved wooden path along it, it was nice to enjoy the views! We recommend!

We stayed for one night with our 2 pups during an extended road trip through the Maritimes. The property is conveniently located on the music coast side of Cape Breton Island. With a 10-minute walk, you’re on a pleasant beach. The staff in this family-run business is lovely. They made a real effort to help us overcome a couple of travel problems. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room.

It didn’t have a lobby with coffee stations or breakfast, and amenities were limited, but the staff successfully did everything they could to accommodate our needs.

No use of fabric softeners was a pleasant surprise. With hard flooring, non-feather pillows, no fabric softeners or other scents, and high cleanliness standards, the Hebridean deserves a hypoallergenic rating. Our room was basic, but clean and fresh with comfortable beds and a lovely blue and white color scheme. The staff accommodated us with an early check-in so that we could change our clothes for an early afternoon event. The location is excellent.

Our only disappointment was the coffee machine which uses only the provided coffee pods. We had hoped to be able to make a pot of coffee with coffee we brought with us.

Breakfast was lovely. I'm not usually a fan of B&Bs but our stay was lovely, quiet and a lovely view to boot. The decor in our room was lovely (although I found it difficult to get onto the high bed).

Ceiling light in main room was not very bright (especially for us older folks). Other than the high bed, and perhaps an extra blanket for the pull-out, everything was just great.

Loved the location-right on the water.

The cold water faucet in the tub is on backwards-couldn’t turn it on or off initially. The lodging seemed a second thought to the attached restaurant. No one manning the desk after the restaurant closed and didn’t have anyone until 11:00 the next day.

It was easy to find good location behind a busy little restaurant with great food … rooms where clean and roomy

There was no breakfast that we were told about and no TV available the cable was out but had internet you only have 2 small coffee with the coffee maker in the room

We were thankful they had a room available, last one.. What a sunset from the chairs in front of the room. Like that you can just back the truck up and empty into a room. Would stay again.

The price for what we got.. No option to make a cup of tea, only coffee..

This is the perfect location to serve as a home base for travel around Cape Breton. It is within walking distance to multiple beautiful beaches, and is close to a few restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the room was cozy and very clean.
