It was a very last-minute booking under difficult circumstances and Diane was brilliant at arranging an early check-in for me. So grateful for the generous and prompt care and understanding. The room was huge, comfy and spotless, with a fantastically well-equipped kitchen area complete with everything you need including dishes, cutlery, a hotplate, microwave, fridge, table and chairs. Had a great dinner, courtesy of M&M (in Home Hardware) and Farmer's Daughter, just down the road. Really appreciate Diane's info & help with getting to the bus to Halifax airport as well!

Absolutely nothing I didn't like. It was all just what I needed! The only thing I'd change was that I didn't get a chance to use the pool as there was a group of teens using it until it closed but there's a side road down along the bay so I had a nice walk along the lake to the Farmer's Daughter for ice cream instead!

Christina in the office is so awesome. Very helpful, fun to talk to & an all around great person. Felt like I'd known her all my life. Our room was very clean. The beds were super comfy & the pillows were nice & fluffy. The shower pressure was fantastic! Was great to have both a fridge & microwave. There was even a toaster! Plenty of room. We had a room with two beds. There was a bench outside our room that overlooked the water with a great sunset. Skeeters were bad but can't help that. Our welcoming committee of Buddy & Olly were so cute. Two black labs! We had a great stay & highly recommend this place! Loved it!

I booked 2 rooms. Double room with 2 beds for myself and one queen for my parents. Christena the hotel manager reached out and told me that the rooms are not in the same building and asked if we wanted another Double rooms with 2 beds at the same building. I gladly took the offer and we ended being with my parents next door in the uphill. They're so beautiful and comfy! The location is very convenient. Tim Horton's is around the corner. There is a farmer's supermarket nearby too. We'll definitely rebook if we go there to revisit the island. There are so many places we haven't seen yet!

We stayed in the full family room (sleeps 6). Beds are comfortable; there is a full kitchen with all appliances, utensils and dishs/pans. The manager is very friendly. Two large ceiling fans, as well as an air conditioner. Hotel is pet friendly.

The balcony/fire escape was a little iffy, so we didn't step out on it but other than that, great place.

The pool was great, water was crystal clean. The kind of pool that you can really swimming. My kids really enjoyed it. The room has a nice lake view that you can watch sunset sunrise from a comfortable sofa. The beddings were comfortable, blue/white nice color combinations. The room was very clean and quiet.

Beautiful lakefront view from room 5, , super-clean and comfortable with everything you need plus a dog and cat to pet :) Well-stocked kitchenette, wonderful hot water shower/tub, laundry, and hose / area to wash my bike after riding it across Canada. Christena the manager went above and beyond, giving me and all my gear a ride to the Maritime Bus stop in Whycocomagh. Thank you!

A good central location for travelling in Cape Breton. Friendly staff and management, really comfortable beds, lots of hot water, a wonderful, view over the bay and very good value for our money

Tv reception was a little wonky

Staff was SO nice and helpful. We enjoyed visits by their two black labs to say hello in the mornings. So quiet and beautiful, despite being so convenient to the highway.

Shower water could be variable at times, nothing too bad. Made showering a surprise!

It had all the amenities and was really clean!

I could hear the bumping about of my neighbours through the walls, but they went to bed early too so it wasn’t noisy. An improvement I would like to suggest is to have some quick charging stations for guests travelling in electric vehicles. There could be a surcharge for use but that would be a real bonus for many travellers.

Rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Older motel but it's been well cared and maintained.Certainly take pride in their business and it shows!Staff were extremely friendly

Nothing ...room was a bit snug for our son's wheelchair but nothing they could do about that.We made it work.They even provided mobile ramps to help access the room
