I was on a two week road trip and was pleasantly surprised to find a laundry room to use. Made the rest of my trip a bit more pleasant. I also liked that I could park right by my room, and although across the highway, the view was quite pleasant. Having a refrigerator and microwave was also very convenient.

Most of the local eating establishments close very early. It would be nice if the office had some simple snacks and a list of where to get groceries and supplies. But overall, a very pleasant stay and great value!

The location was very convenient for a stopover, and the room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. It seems like the property has been recently renovated. It’s a privately run motel, and the owner’s black Labrador was quietly wandering around — very friendly and got along great with my dog. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and changed how I think about motels.

Nothing major — everything was clean and pleasant. Just note that this is a small, independently run place, so don’t expect large-hotel amenities.

It was a very last-minute booking under difficult circumstances and Diane was brilliant at arranging an early check-in for me. So grateful for the generous and prompt care and understanding. The room was huge, comfy and spotless, with a fantastically well-equipped kitchen area complete with everything you need including dishes, cutlery, a hotplate, microwave, fridge, table and chairs. Had a great dinner, courtesy of M&M (in Home Hardware) and Farmer's Daughter, just down the road. Really appreciate Diane's info & help with getting to the bus to Halifax airport as well!

Absolutely nothing I didn't like. It was all just what I needed! The only thing I'd change was that I didn't get a chance to use the pool as there was a group of teens using it until it closed but there's a side road down along the bay so I had a nice walk along the lake to the Farmer's Daughter for ice cream instead!

Excellent location, rooms were spacious, clean, amenities were great! Each room has a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as a communal bbq! Staff were amazing and so kind and cheerful! The views were spectacular of the Bras does lake and there is a fabulous pool as well as activities for kids. Great stay!

Christina in the office is so awesome. Very helpful, fun to talk to & an all around great person. Felt like I'd known her all my life. Our room was very clean. The beds were super comfy & the pillows were nice & fluffy. The shower pressure was fantastic! Was great to have both a fridge & microwave. There was even a toaster! Plenty of room. We had a room with two beds. There was a bench outside our room that overlooked the water with a great sunset. Skeeters were bad but can't help that. Our welcoming committee of Buddy & Olly were so cute. Two black labs! We had a great stay & highly recommend this place! Loved it!

I booked 2 rooms. Double room with 2 beds for myself and one queen for my parents. Christena the hotel manager reached out and told me that the rooms are not in the same building and asked if we wanted another Double rooms with 2 beds at the same building. I gladly took the offer and we ended being with my parents next door in the uphill. They're so beautiful and comfy! The location is very convenient. Tim Horton's is around the corner. There is a farmer's supermarket nearby too. We'll definitely rebook if we go there to revisit the island. There are so many places we haven't seen yet!

Great location and price. Easy self- check-in. Comfortable and spacious room. Great parking right in front of your room.

A/C unit didn't work quite. I told it to keep the temp at 70 all night and put it in "dry" mode since the room was a little muggy. Instead it ran the condenser all night and froze us out and we were cold.

We stayed in the full family room (sleeps 6). Beds are comfortable; there is a full kitchen with all appliances, utensils and dishs/pans. The manager is very friendly. Two large ceiling fans, as well as an air conditioner. Hotel is pet friendly.

The balcony/fire escape was a little iffy, so we didn't step out on it but other than that, great place.

The pool was great, water was crystal clean. The kind of pool that you can really swimming. My kids really enjoyed it. The room has a nice lake view that you can watch sunset sunrise from a comfortable sofa. The beddings were comfortable, blue/white nice color combinations. The room was very clean and quiet.

The room was recently updated and very clean. Beds were as comfy as any in a luxury hotel chain. Loved that there was a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and a toaster. The view from the top of the hill was stunning.
