The Inn was quite charming and quaint. Host was quite nice, but we had no interaction with the hostess who kept to the kitchen. It's large porch was a comfortable retreat to enjoy our take-out dinners we had purchased in town upon late arrival. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, complete with fridge, wifi, and nice-size bath with jetted tub. Breakfast was very nice and generous.
We expected from pictures that we could walk down to the water's edge, but couldn't. Wanted to go for a walk, but the gravel drive alone was 3/4 mile completely lined by trees and brush; so we drove out to find a place to access water and walk, but came up short...

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Ainsley, where we stopped for three nights. The hosts are an elderly couple, that's probably why the restaurants is closed nowadays. But they are very friendly and we got a different breakfast every day. We liked that the rooms were so big and that the windows could be opened.
The Inn is further away from Inverness than expected, so you have to expect about a 20min drive to find a restaurant.

The hosts are a very nice couple, warm people. The breakfast was generous, felt like home and delicious. The property was very clean and peaceful.
The property is at least 25 minutes from closest town and last ~1 mile is gravel - There is no Dinner at the property- this should be stated in bold on the listing. I arrived at the property after full day of hiking and then had to drive back to town to get dinner - The lake is not accessible from the property

Lovely place. Spotlessly clean. Large room. Extremely comfortable bed. Nice area next to a lake. Catered for me as a coeliac for breakfast.
We arrived later than expected and were knocking on the door and ringing the bell for a long time before anyone came. We didn’t think we were going to be able to get into the property. Also, despite booking on line, the host wasn’t expecting us as hadn’t checked the booking site.

We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave. The B&B is a lovely calm place with spacious rooms with a view to lake Ainslie. Delicious breakfast was cooked and it was changing every morning. The hosts were friendly, helpful and accommodating to cyclists.

The breakfast was excellent. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was delicious. Keith and Elizabeth (I believe that's what her name is) are excellent host and great people....typical of friendly Cape Bretoners. The view of Lake Ainsley is nice and the facility is spotless and has that beautiful country charm. We stayed in the MacDonald room, a large corner unit with windows on two walls, one overlooking the lake, a very comfortable king size bed, a sofa and kitchen table with two chairs and patio doors to the balcony.
What's not to like, it's beautiful.

The beautiful Inn has an outstanding location near the lake. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and we had access to a very nice covered balcony. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine even though it began to rain. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. Overall an outstanding stay - Thanks!!
Can't think of a thing.

Beautiful peaceful property with gracious hosts. The view of the lake was spectacular, and we enjoyed our chats with Keith & Elizabeth. The breakfasts provided were very tasty. Elizabeth is a fantastic cook. Not far from Whycocomagh but just enough distance to be able to relax and unwind. Will most definitely return.

A bit out of the way, and a little quirky in that the owners use some of the common space, but it's a beautiful and quiet location very near the lake. Our room was in a quiet corner of the building (though apparently only one other room occupied on our stay). Breakfast was good.
Just be aware that there are no restaurants in the area--bring your own food or eat dinner beforehand!

A lovely rural retreat... serenity surrounded us. We enjoyed our ensuite room with access to the covered porch and a place to sit and gaze out towards the lake. Our hosts were thoughtful and delightful to get to know. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We wished we would have booked a longer stay.
We loved the Tulloch Inn and wouldn’t change a thing.
