the best personal! so helpful, paid for our taxi because we didnt have cash on the arrival, so optimistic and his smile cheered us every single day. the apartments are big, with a living/dining room with a TV, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom. you can choose between english, arabic and indian breakfast, i had the arabic one and it was huge and delicious. if you are still hungry after, there is a little market, Gardens Mall shopping center and Chinese Village right next to the apartments. for lunch or dinner there is plenty of restaurants across the street including McDonalds and local restaurants with local food.

there was a shower stall in the bathroom which was really small and there was no protection around it so the water was everywhere even if you tried to be careful.

The place was a little dated but clean and very spacious. The staff was attentive to our needs and was quick to respond. We also liked that it was quiet and located just behind the Gardens Mall which made it easy for us if we needed anything. The place is value for money if you're just looking for a comfortable place to stay. The price was more than reasonable for the room we got and the number of nights we stayed there. Don't expect amenities or luxury services like those of 5 star international hotels. But thumbs up again for the staff who were very responsive to our needs.

The place was dated and though the breakfast was tasty and served to us in our room, it was repetitive and there wasn't much choice. We could either have Arabic or Indian breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent, Indian based but slightly different each day. All very plentiful, tasty & served at a time of my convenience. The staff were very helpful & friendly without being overbearing about it. Transfers to & from the airport were arranged easily at the front desk. The Wifi in the room was more than adequate & the apartment was both spacious & comfortable. The airport is 10 mins away, but despite its proximity to the airport & a main road, the apartments were nice & quiet. Nearby, only a short walk away is a Mall, with a supermarket & food court. Plus the usual retail shops & coffee places. Handy Shell garage nearby for if you hire a car, as I did. Also, I had a lounge balcony door on the 3rd floor that had view stretching from the Dhofar mountains, the air port, to the edge of town. Spectacular sunrises coming through the palm trees. I’d stay again.

The only minor criticism would be the apartment kitchen area, needs modernising. That said, I only used the kettle & fridge for my needs.

Mr Anwar was an amazing help: all my initial requirements and complains were met or fixed gladly- I do appreciate such support. considering the season, it was a good value for money. comfortable and cleaned beds, even asking for extra mattresses for my little kids were provided. little problems with the bathroom were fixed and replaced as applicable. the flat is spacious as well.

- car parking: there are not enough spaces dedicated for customers - location is an issue if you travel during busy hours of mall shoppers as you can get stuck trying to come back to the hotel- going out of the hotel is easy. - some suggestions about the bathroom design: it’s basic and should include shower enclosure or a glass shelter to prevent spread of water all over the floor: it’s an issue if one shower after another as it increases the risk of slipping over. also, the “shattaf “was placed on the left side of toilet seat- awkward.

Location is perfect. Right in the center of the city and everything is easily accessible. Groceries (Carrefour and Lulu) nearby in a walking distance. Garden mall and china souq nearby ( enough to keep your evening busy) in case you don't want to drive far. Rooms are clean and well maintained though the place itself is a bit old. Staff is very welcoming and helpful and very serviable. Good place for families. In case you rent a car, there is a petrol station right next to the hotel and also a car wash.

There is no enough parking place available around the place. However I was happy with the other great advantages the place offers

Everything. Especially Anwar at the reception. He went out of the way to check in at 11.00 am. Breakfast was as per our choice and served at our one bedroom apartment. Apartment very spacious with two bathrooms, dining, drawing with sofas and big king size bed with attached bathroom. I would recommend everybody to stay here. Big shopping mall, restaurants, markets just 5 minutes walk. Special thanks to all the staff who made our stay memorable. Thanks once again. Kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, 4 burner gas stove, washing machine, coffee machine & utensils. Dates with ghawa at the reception.

The hotel apartments Gateway Salalah are located very near to the city centre with a petrol station, a mall and a Papa Jones Pizza in the vicinity. However that's only one reason why the stay at this place is very comfortable. The best part is the management of the property, the spacious rooms, homely breakfast spread and prompt service by the professional staff that makes the stay a great comfort in every sense. The kitchen in the apartment was well equipped with all basic amenities and the living room and bedrooms were good as well. Mr Anvar who is the owner of the place personally interacts with the guests and guides them on the places of attraction around. He makes sure that the guests enjoy their stay in Salalah and leave with happy memories. I will stay there again and stay at Gateway Salalah and I can recommend this place to anyone who visits Salalah.

There is nothing about the property that I didn't like.

- Location of the hotel is good, inside the city, however away from the crowded place and easy access to the main roads to all Salalah attractions. - Salalah Gardel Mall and Carrefour are very nearby - Not much crowded

Internet speed needs a serious attention. Some other small improvement suggestions discussed with the hotel management to be taken care. Attention required on the routine maintenance of the kitchen, toilet and curtains for minor issues to be given.

Very well located next to the shopping mall, where you can find plenty of shops, a Carrefour and lots of eateries/coffee shops. If you hire a car the main road and petrol station is literally 100 metres from the apartment. despite being fairly close to the road and the airport, the apartment was very quiet The owner, Anwar is the most delightful man who made you feel very welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Would have no hesitation in recommending the apartments. The only misinformation on the website is that there is no safe available for your valuables.

The bed and seats in the lounge were very hard. The lounge wasn’t a problem because we were out sightseeing every day.

Our 3-nights family stay was confortable, the flat was fully clean and we found everything we need (washing machine, equipment to hang clothes, kitchen stuff, etc). Breakfast was really good with plenty of food we wasn't able to finish. The hotel staff was absolutely welcoming. We would recommend the place at all!!!
