This was our first stop on a two week road trip in Morocco and what an amazing start!!! The welcome that we received from Rafik and Mohammed was truly wonderful and the perfect introduction to Morocco. The ecolodge is full of rustic charm and was a wonderful and peaceful sanctuary. Rafik treated us to traditional music during both of our evenings and we all had a go at joining in which was a highlight for us all. We ate breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was delicious. Also, a great location for visiting Atlas Film Studios and Ben Ait Haddou. We will long remember Rafik, Mohammed and our time at the ecolodge. Our three boys have mentioned you daily since our stay! Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful welcome to Morocco 🇲🇦 ❤️

We liked everything! We had a hire car, standard 2 wheel drive and this easily managed the access road to the property. The road is unmade so just requires a little care and attention to navigate.

We had a lovely stay! The place was clean, spacious, and authentically styled. The pool was well-maintained and inviting, and the gardens were peaceful and immaculate. Our host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. A few things to keep in mind: the tap water is salty, which can make skin itchy, so it’s best to have bottled water for washing. Also, two of the children’s beds are directly on the floor and not very usable due to an ant issue. Breakfast is lovely, but it’s best to go early as most things aren't restocked Overall, a wonderful stay with minor considerations.

The food was very good and the staff very kind, always available to respond to our questions and needs. It is a great project to welcome people while taking care of nature.

We were not used to living without full connection and hot water all the time. Some ants in the bed. But nothing serious.

The hotel feels very remote (but only 15 mins drive to town) and this makes it feel quite special. The pool area and garden are lovely. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, with lots of room for a family. The meal we ate there was great and the staff are all really friendly and helpful if you want something. Sometimes there were language difficulties as we don't speak much french and no Arabic, but we always managed, and the boss speaks good English. We found a lovely lady called Nasira on the last day who cooks/cleans, who has fantastic English having studied it at university - I told her she should definitely come and talk to the tourists more, because her language skills would be a huge asset to the hotel and people would love to be able to talk to her. The hotel is very laid back and relaxed, if you ask people they will do everything to help you, but if you don't, you are completely left alone to relax but I think they just need to be sure to communicate a little bit more - For example, we had a few bits for lunch one day - I am still not sure if they did this as a special 'one off' for us, or if this is something they actually offer!! We also love the cats!

If you shower in the morning and evening there is good flow of water, but in the day the pumps seem to be switched off so only very light water flow for showers - this is likely to be part of the eco lodge thing but again could be explained to guests so they know when is best to shower.

This place is an absolute gem! I only wish we had stayed longer than just one night. They run a circular bio-garden, and the pool is completely chemical-free—its water is later used to nourish the plants. The host was incredibly welcoming, and the views were simply breathtaking. Imagine waking up to the sight of the Atlas mountaintops with the desert stretching out in the distance—a mesmerizing contrast. I highly recommend this place for families. In the evenings, guests are invited to gather around the fireplace for a traditional tea ceremony, and the resident cats provide endless entertainment for the little ones. A truly unforgettable experience—highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Ecolodge Lile. The staff were all very helpful, and I'd especially like to highlight Rafik at reception. He gave us a warm and charming welcome, offering us a lovely berber whiskey by the pool with cake. He also took some great photos for us—he's an excellent photographer! The breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed walking around the area near the ecolodge. The lake is just 15 minutes away, which was perfect. We also had a great experience with the horses riding . Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely recommend it!

It was very nice at the pool in the afternoon and very remote from the city. Upon arrival we got a tea at the pool and quite enjoyed the view from the hotel. Dinner was nice as well.

The rooms were a bit smelly and not super clean. Breakfast buffet also didn’t look very enjoyable even though the food was good but there were so many flies on the food already. But good enough for one night.

Our stay at the eco-lodge was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly in tune with nature. The food was delicious, showcasing local flavors and fresh ingredients. One of the highlights was definitely the swimming pool, which was a great place to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Ibrahim. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always with a smile and a friendly attitude. Ibrahim's attention to detail and genuine care for the guests made a real difference.

It was so relaxing that it felt like staying at home, but without the chores! And with waaaay more sunshine! It is so peaceful, very remote, the staff were warm and friendly but didn't linger and make you feel uncomfortable like some hotels I have been to in the past. They were fantastic. In the grounds, there's a lot of wildlife, mostly birds, a few cats, and the most friendly and playful dog who takes his job patrolling the perimeter of the Hotel and keeping people 'safe' very seriously! The food at the restaurant was also fantastic and with a, no menu, you get what the chef decides, approach it was wonderful to not have to choose my food for a change! My decision fatigue got much better! Breakfast was wonderful too, with fresh breads and fruits every day. Hiking from here is pretty fun, and almost all on the flat so it doesn't feel like too much of a slog. The skies are beautiful, and you get an amazing view of the Atlas mountains and the Noor power station, which looks like a beautiful static lighthouse poking out of the desert against a mountainous backdrop. We stayed a week and would have happily, happily stayed longer!

There wasn't much to dislike! But if I had to say anything it would probably be the hot water schedule- I just couldn't get used to it! It's an ecolodge so power is used conservatively. It's no bad thing the hot water and electricity are on schedule rather than on demand, but I struggled with it and just didn't get used to it! I think that's a 'me' problem though, not the hotel!

Ecolodge l'Ile de Ouarzazate is a nice respite from dust and smog of Ouarzazate city. You can enjoy well maintained, magic garden, views towards mountains and the lake at the horizont, the sky full of stars over your head in the night. The food was delicious, the room very spacious, the staff very helpful and kind. Very recommandable if you want to escape noise and smog of maroccian cities and enjoy fresh air, silence and beatiful nature.

The place is a bit remote and difficult to arrive to - but worth it.
