All of the staff were exceptional. Friendly, courteous and helpful. The restaurant was superb. Excellent menu and wonderful food. The outlook could not be surpassed. Relaxing in front of the huge wood fire of an evening was a bonus. Thanks to Maureen, (probably incorrect spelling), she was a trooper. She never seemed to relax. Always on the job. She, Lisa and Joe should all be congratulated for their dedication to making sure their guests were comfortable.

I requested a non-adjoining room when booking but, to our disappointment, we got an adjoining one. Naturally we heard our neighbour but only briefly and not too disturbing. Our air conditioner unit was just too noisy to use of a night. It was a free standing unit and was probably installed as the ducted air con did not work. We've had noisy units before but this one was next level. Hopefully the situation will be addressed asap. Apart from that we were very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend the hotel to others.

We love our stays at Sunnyside! We had room 20, king partial lake view with fireplace. Its the top corner room and its more spacious than the other king partial lake views. We had three adult females in the room and it didnt feel cramped. The nespresso machine in the room is a really great touch and much appreciated. I live for the breakfast in the morning simply because we can sit out on the deck before the crowds and really enjoy the lake views. Oh and the welcome glass of champagne really starts our stay out on the right foot! Everyone at the lodge is very friendly and welcoming. We feel like we are at home when we stay!

There's nothing we don't like except for when we have to leave!

Loved the location, room, restaurant, bar , and the staff were extremely friendly….being welcomed with a glass of Cava was a great touch. Breakfast was not as expected, did not know it was a light continental breakfast would prefer to pay for a hot breakfast at the Sunnyside Resort or go elsewhere such as The Fire Sign cafe which I highly recommend.

Our room had a connecting door, and unfortunately we could hear everything the other guests were saying and doing. On the positive side the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Sitting on the balcony was a huge plus, we truly enjoyed that part.

Breakfast was amazing. Location and views are amazing.

1) Front desk did not insure keys were working. We walked up to the room and had to return to the front desk to get the keys correct. 2) We walked into the non-crowded bar area and set up in seats near the fireplace and looked at menus staged there to decide on some drinks. We were there for several minutes and noone approached us to take our order. I walked up to the bar, that had no patrons sitting, and waited for the bartender who passed in front of me 2-3 times before acknowledging my presence. I asked to place an order and was told by the bartender to go back to my seats and someone would take my order. Several more minutes passed before a server came and took our order. Drinks came quickly and were made very well.

Beautiful location right on Lake Tahoe, and close to activities (skiing, hiking, the lake), restaurant and shops. Some rooms have views right out over the lake, as does the restaurant. In the summer, they have outdoor lakefront dining. The staff was super friendly and helpful with local recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

Some rooms are right over the bar and restaurant area, which can be a little noisy in the evening. The noise seemed to quiet down at a reasonable time so it wasn't an issue for sleeping.

Staff & service were outstanding.

Owner(s) of this establishment need to put some money into up keep. Our toilet pedestal in room 24 was loose. Hallway carpet are well overdue for replacement. We dined in the restaurant twice and in both cases my chair wobbled. All furniture's in the lobby are too old. Outside restaurant deck has not seen a good resurfacing & stain in years. Breakfast was OK, hard boiled egg shells seamed to be glued to the eggs. I tried six different eggs and by the time I removed the shells not much left of the eggs.

Beautiful location right on Lake Tahoe. The room was nicely updated, with a balcony overlooking the lake, and the free breakfast was a nice perk. The bar is a fun place to have a drink and look at the lake, and the patio would be great in the summer. We would definitely stay here again.

The parking lot is a little small so if you arrive during peak hours for the bar or restaurant, you may have to walk a bit. The bar can be a little noisy, but it doesn't stay open too late.

Location is right on the lake. Restaurant and bar are lively fun places to hang out. Water sports are offered on the property. There is a place to tie up your own boat at the dock. Rooms are not fancy, but they are spacious enough. You can't beat the pricing for the room. We have a cabin up the hill. We stay at Sunnyside when our place is rented out.

Property could use some updating.

Location was great. Breakfast could have included more hot option, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc

Central air didn't work, so there was an in-room unit that was loud.

The resort was exceptional. Location and the view were awwone. Joseph the guest person in the morning was wondeerfull! He gave us some great tips on restaurants and sites to visit.

The only thing that can improve is the continental breakfast. They need to add hot meals like scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits etc.
