Perfect stay, we loved it! Room was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated; it had a working fireplace and a space heater. Bedding and towels were clean. The room also opens up to a communal back patio. The food served at this place is wonderful and not expensive. The host is very friendly and helpful too. There’s parking right out front. Highly recommend.

While not exactly cold, maybe one more space heater (which the host did provide upon request!) would be good for cold winters. The toilet was also a little cold, but overall, would still 100% recommend!

Very welcoming staff, who wanted us to have a good experience. Amena was an excellent host, cook, and spoke good English which made it easier to communicate. Food was delicious and lattes were excellent! Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice terrace to eat and work at with view of river valley. Enjoyed trek into the river valley to find crystals, which were abundant. Easy to reach location right on the main road. This is a perfect place to chill, trek, and enjoy the views.

The description of the rooms needs to be updated to accurately reflect amenities in specific rooms.

If you are on a long journey across the country, desert or Atlas, this is a fabulous stop on your way for lodging or even just a cozy meal. The hospitality and family atmosphere could not be beat. The food was out of this world and enjoyed on a scenic terrace overlooking the river valley. There isn't really a town per say, but this establishment seems to be the anchor in the area. We spent the afternoon playing Uno on the terrace followed by a homemade dinner in a private dining room. We slept well and enjoyed the immediate hot water and nice bathrooms (the hottest water on demand of our whole trip!). We stayed in the family style room and it was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 1 kiddo. After a filling breakfast the staff gave us directions for a hike to collect crystals and geodes. Hammer included! We'll never forget our stay at Dar Isselday. Huge thanks to the lovely staff and management. So glad we found you. Can't wait to send our friends your way.

Nothing. It was perfect in so many ways. Heads up- no beer or wine available so BYO if you want a bevvy with dinner.

After traveling Morocco for 2 weeks and staying in many riads and berber guest houses at all different price ranges, we still found Dar Isselday to be our favorite. Even though we were only staying here for a night while traveling from Marrakech to Merzouga, the stay itself was quite an memorable experience on its own. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming host (Mohamed) who speaks fluent English, French, and Arabic. Mohamed is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas (e.g. where to hike) and gave us many suggestions on what to visit beyond the common touristy spots. We followed his suggestion and stayed at a really nice Oasis the following day. After dinner, we got a chance to hang out with Mohamed who shared many interesting stories and insights regarding berber lifestyle and culture. It offered us a rare & honest glimpse into the life of a berber Moroccan. Even though the owner speaks very little English, throughout the night, he frequently checked in on us to make sure we were well accommodated. When he noticed that I was carrying a giant camera, he invited us to the rooftop which has a really beautiful panoramic view of the valley. The guest house is located in a picturesque valley and feels very serene. The guest house has an outside dining area in front of the main building that is extremely well decorated and maintained. You can tell just how much heart and effort the owner has put into this place. The attention to details is simply topnotch. The room has a traditional but modern berber architecture. On this trip, we stayed in several traditional berber guest houses. Even though they were interesting experiences, the living conditions can be quite rough at times. Dar Isselday, on the other hand, not only kept the traditional berber vibe but also included many quality of life improvements. It was surprisingly luxurious.

The place is beautiful, better than in the pictures . Rooms are spacious and comfortable . The terrace is gorgeous . Staff is nice . They have the sweetest cats I have ever seen in Morocco

Unless you have a car there’s not much to do … I was told that they offer plenty of activities but during my stay no one talked to me about it . I know most of them were at villages so due to the earthquake makes no sense . But I would have loved to have had someone to guide me in tisseldaï to the best spots to find gemstones instead of doing it alone .

Dar Isselday was a lovely choice to stay in many aspects. The owners were very welcoming and the room was simple but tastefully decorated and comfortable. The view is amazing and leaves you lingering on the terras for hours. We also had dinner at the hotel which was a very nicely presented and very tasty dinner. One of the best desserts I had: potato cake! From the hotel are nice walks to the hills to finds Crystals. The owner gave me a hammer and bottle of water to take on the hike. The breakfast was also very good!

What a fantastic over night stay on our way back to Marrakesh! Unbelievable prize quality ratio. The dinner was amazing and the breakfast plenty! Very friendly and welcoming hosts. You can do small hikes directly from the property, too.

It’s close to the street and you have some barking dogs nearby but we slept well.

Super tasty and homely food, authentic, attention to the details, not only in terms of cleanliness, decoration but even nice touches like orthopaedic pillows. The staff, specially Souad, are super friendly. The kids loved the place and us too.

The road noise when lorries passed by.

This place was spacious but super cozy at the same time. The view was insane. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. We had a really good time with them and they brought a big smile on our faces! We would really recommend staying here for the views, the rooms, the food and especially the people! There was also a parking option
