I never write reviews, but this time I have to. Perfect. Usually, when I visit a hotel, I have in mind ideas about what could be done better. In this one, I could not have done any better. In this hotel, I felt like at home. It’s family-owned, and you feel it: clean, lots of help, free bicycles, coffee available around the clock. Medjugorje truly feels like a holy city. In this hotel, you feel it also in the staff. Perfect location for the Holy Hill. We will return for sure. We stayed 3 nights – next time we’ll stay longer. Perfect breakfast. Everything is there.

Everything! Dario and his daughter Anna were exceptionally professional, helpful, and friendly! They take pride in their business and it seems like they regard their work more as a calling to serve the pilgrims who come to seek and honor Our Lady and her Son. The owner, Dario,,knows all of the visionaries personally (related to one) and was there on the 3rd day in 1981 as a young boy! The breakfast was top notch! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Perfect location to Apparition Hill! You’ll be glad you chose Villa Ruza!!!!

Villa Ruža is absolutely wonderful and is (in our humble opinion) the best place to stay in Međugorje! The location was very convenient for our family's visit with our 2 children (ages 12 and 18). It is a very short walk (perhaps 5 minute) to the path leading to Apparition Hill. It is also about a 5 minute drive (also walkable - 2.8 km/ 1.73 miles) to the parking area where we started the trek up to the Križevac (or “Cross Mountain”). Additionally, Villa Ruža is a short 12 minute walk (via path/ shortcut) to the Church of Saint James the Greater (Apostle). And while you're in the area of Saint James Church, don't forget to also visit the Naša Majka Museum and Art gallery. The Naša Majka Museum museum is a place all pilgrims must visit while in Medjugorje - the multimedia kiosks provide a way to play videos in several languages and is a great way to learn more about the historical facts of Međugorje. Villa Ruža is situated with a serene backdrop with beautifully landscaped grounds and views and has plenty of parking. And you will appreciate the parking when you realize the limited parking spaces other visitors must contend with when visiting Apparition Hill, especially during the busy holiday periods. The owner (Dario and his family) are wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They are actively involved in the management/ operation of this beautiful property; as noted by others, they maintain an exceptionally high standard when it comes to cleanliness and the comfort of their guests. Aside from their warm and welcoming nature, they were also extremely helpful in answering any questions and providing valuable insights into the history of the local area and region. When we visit again, Villa Ruža is where we will once again stay. It will also be the place that we recommend to family, friends, and members of our ministry when visiting Međugorje.

I had the most incredible stay at Villa Riža! The apartment's perfect location, nestled in the peaceful surroundings, made it an absolute dream. Being right beside Apparition Hill was a true blessing, as I could easily access the sacred site and immerse myself in its spiritual atmosphere. Additionally, the short 10-minute walk to St. James Church allowed me to conveniently attend services and participate in the religious activities. The owner of Villa Riža was exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. His warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. He was always available to answer any questions I had and provided valuable insights about the local area, ensuring that I had the best possible experience during my visit. Moreover, the apartment itself was spotless clean, reflecting the owner's dedication to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Every corner of the apartment was meticulously maintained, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. I cannot recommend Villa Riža enough to anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient place to stay in Medjugorje. Whether you are seeking a spiritual retreat or simply a tranquil getaway, this place has it all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Very quiet and peaceful! And the staff went out of their way to accommodate us arriving very late in the evening and also preparing breakfast for us. They also delivered extra fruit and croissants to our room on two different occasions. The property is located at the foot of the Apparition Hill which was very convenient for our morning and afternoon veneration.

Very friendly, comfortable and clean place extremely close to the Apparitian Hill. With Amazing nature around it. 5 minutes away from any attraction or center. We loved it and will definitely be visiting again and staying in the same hotel.

very clean rooms, very nice and polite receptionist . Great location, we were able to walk to all places in Medugorje, close distance to everywhere so no need to drive. Available car parking. very good location for families with kids, there is green space/garden in front of hotel so kids have possibility to play in front of hotel on green grass and not on the street.

Excellent place at amazing location and wonderful staff. The rooms are great, clean, the premises are peaceful and serene. Breakfast was great, a lot of choice + freshly made hotdog sausages and scrambled eggs on request. Parking is right in front of the villa and you have a quick 5 minute walk to the bottom of the apparition hill. All in all, I’d recommend the place to anyone and would happily come back again.

Very friendly host, warm welcome and nice chat upon arrival. Whole facility was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Breakfast was just as expected, not fancy, but delicious. Surrounding is nice and quiet. In general, our stay was very satisfying.

Top location within walking distance of the main places. Quiet, pleasant stay. The host does everything to make your stay perfect.
