The charm of this place is the fact that everything slows down. If you can lean into that, this is an amazing place. Literally 10 footsteps to the beach, a panoramic view of the seashore during breakfast and mingling with the locals on the island is lovely, a great relaxing atmosphere where nothing is urgent or stressed. The staff are great, helpful and very friendly. The beach has a shallow shelf reef with a deep dropoff to explore with a large amount of sealife, we saw a large eagle ray, a resident black tip reef shark and moray eel, a large stonefish, a turtle, fish of all types and we got lucky to see a mantis shrimp. If you feel adveturous, walk through the mini jungle to see bats, banana trees and birds to reach the South Eastern point of the island to snorkel in the very shallow water of a fish nursery, including small morays and sharks (mind the tides and the current though). Half board was sufficient food for us, with enough variety of the buffet. The food off the menu was good too and they served fresh seafood at times at no extra cost some nights. There are a couple of local restaurants and small corner shops for snacks too.

The first week mid March was dryer, the second week saw an increase in mosquitoes after a stormy shower or two overnight. Not a major issue, just stay away from the jungle. No issues other than sunburn, cover up!

Thank you very much to Nazy and his Team for everything. They helped us with everything to the fullest, and the 12 nights we spent there will be an unforgettable experience. The food is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and the beach is very close and impeccably maintained. The kindness and humanity of the staff are captivating, and the island residents are also wonderful. The programs offered by the accommodation are varied; we were lucky enough to see manta rays and whale sharks, and they even organized custom programs upon request. They did everything to ensure we had a great time, and when we needed help due to illness, they immediately took care of everything. Thank you very much!

We had amazing and relaxing six night stay in clean and spacious room with sea view . All staff were very friendly, the breakfast and dinner was super tasty. Really loved excursion ; snorkelling and fishing, which we booked in hotel . We had amazing fishing trip , Indian ocean / sunset was so pictures and all experience was fantastic. The hotel kitchen chef have fried the fish , which we caught for us . Thanks to all hotel staff for such a welcome stay and excellent communication by e-mails . Enjoyed being in this island with friendly locals around and eco environment.

First of all, want to thank the personnel of Thundi village who made our staying outstanding. Large room with a high ceiling with a terrace and also nig comfortable bathroom, a large new beds and fresh room design. Each our morning started with a tasty cheese omelette and an amazing ocean view opposite. A good cleaning is provided every day, strong and good Wi fi connection which is surprising how it's on the island. It marvellous location by the ocean, just 1 minute walk from the bikini beach. We also enjoyed our lunch and dinners in the guest house with the gorgeous Chef. Many dishes from a local fish, fresh salads, fruits..etc. Want to mention the island residents who are so lovely, kind and friendly to the tourists. On the island also you can find diving lessons, water jet riding, and excursions to other islands by small boat. You can walk around the island just in 30 minutes. Incredible flora and fauna on the island and snorkelling here is something really special. We spent beautiful 9 nights on this island and with absolute sincerity want to say we want to be back here again. Many thank for our accommodation)))

Incredible place just a few steps by the ocean. I saw and heard the ocean from my balcony. Employees are very helpful - I bothered them a lot by my requests like ordering speed boats from Male, then to Dharavandhoo and all my requests they solved as was my wish. And the food? As standard, they have prepared a continental breakfast for you. But if you want to taste the local cuisine, the chef will satisfy your taste :) Bikini beach is very close from the hotel - it really takes a few steps and there are several sunbeds available for guests. There are two shops in the village, in one of them (the one closer to the port) you can pay by card. If you want to visit an authentic place of the local Maldivian Islands, then I recommend staying here.

Be prepared for mosquitoes - but you will get that on every island in the Maldives

The location is just paradise! It is a dream to look out on those clear waters and beaches! the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everybody was so nice!

Maybe the only thing I would suggest is to offer less on the menu but instead offer more local fresh food.

A sea view from the balcony. Comfy bed, hot water in a shower. There is a small coral garden and you can snockerling from a beach. Corals are not that pretty, but fish abundance is incredible, especially at early mornings or late evenings. I saw something similar only in the famous Blue Lagoon at Fiji. Clarity of water varies during day depending on a tide from "cristal clear" to "cloudy", but it seems to be commonly in the Baa Athol. Ask staff for an advice when it is a better time for snockering. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They answered very promptly our questions during booking which made our trip easy. One day we came late from a night fishing, but a restorant cooked fish which we caught and served our dinner despite the late time. Thanks the cheef for his work and for very tasty dinner!

Minor maintenances can be performed better (e. g. to clean windows from a salt precipitation or better cleaning of a beach from fallen leaves), but these were minor problems which did not spoiled our overall great impression.

We had an incredible vacation at Thundi Village. Nazyh and the staff are amazing, caring , and kind people and they go out of their way to make sure their guests have an amazing experience. they meet you at the airport and also arrange amazing excursions. They were very accommodating and allowed us a late check out when our flight was delayed. And the most beautiful house reef and snorkeling is right outside the door of the guest house. The dining area is beautiful and opens out the crystal clear sea. There are comfortable swings right outside the door and we even saw dolphins . The locals on the island are very friendly and happy and the whole vibe is serene and peaceful. We hope we get to go back. We loved it !

The hotel has the best location on the island - right next to the beautiful beach. Everyone is super nice & friendly, by the end of your stay, you will feel like you're just hanging out with your friends. If you want a true experience on a local island, this is the place to go. Shout out to Nazyh & Husein and to Chef Chamika for keeping our tummies full with delicious potato curry.

The hotel is in need of some repairment as the ravages of time left their mark, but we were told revonations are in plan for this year, so it should will be even more magical.

A beachfront hotel where you're toes meet the sand. The dinning area was airy and the views to beach was stunning. The Breakfast/lunch and dinner was amazing thanks to the great Chef Nil. He cooked a variety of options for us. Very tasty!! The hotel had special event nights for dining, BBQ Thursday and different menu options during the week for dinner. Staff Nazyh, Hussain were very accommodating and went above and beyond with assisting us. Our wonderful waiter Aman, was gracious enough to save our favorite drinks for dinner. The staff, made it feel like you were part of the family and gave you the local experience one is looking for. Also, a bonus was that they staff kept the beach clean and they encouraged visitors to do the same. The beach is stunning what you would expect from MALDIVES.

Overall we had no dislikes!!
