We stayed one night at Genusshotel Krone during our long drive home and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was modern, spotlessly clean, and comfortably air-conditioned—exactly what we needed after a long day on the road. Parking was just a minute’s walk away, very convenient. The staff was professional, welcoming, and genuinely sympathetic to the needs of travellers. We also had an excellent dinner in their restaurant; the dishes were well-prepared and full of flavour. All in all, a perfect stopover for anyone passing through the Basel area. Highly recommended.

Very nice, spacious room, good breakfast, friendly staff. Breakfast was very good.

Coming from Basel, the location is inconvenient. Endless journey through residential areas. Better accessible from the german side. Coffee machine is not correctly configured for their coffee cups, which seems like a rather stupid oversight.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Bus stop to Lorrach or to Basel was a one-minute walk. Very good breakfast - bread, eggs, cheese, sausages, cereal, jam, yogurt, fruit, etc. The food from the restaurant was excellent. Try the creme brulee!

There is nothing much near to the hotel. Only a small Bakery and a restaurant a little walk up the road. It would have been nice to have a little convenience store or small supermarket nearby.

It's in a convenient location near Basel and Weil am Rhein. The room is of a sufficient size and comfortable. The only problem is that there is no elevator access to the upper floors. It has a very nice restaurant, and serves delicious food.

Breakfast is very basic and weak.

The hotel is very chic, toiletries are also of good quality, breakfast room is very nice and all the set up is very classy, nice plates, tasty food, different choices of coffee, fresh fruit, nice and small glass jars for marmelade, very, very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. Our double bed was huge, there was plenty of room for two adults and two kids in the same bed! Switzerland is very close, 2 min away. Altogether it was a pleasant stay and we would most def come back.

The room in the main building was very nice, cosy and modern. We appreciated the l’Occitan product range in the bathroom.

We booked two rooms and the second one with one bed was in a separate building over the road which was a little unexpected.

Good hotel in a nice, quiet environment. For us, a very good stop on our way to Switzerland. Friendly staff, good room (we were in the annex across the street), nice breakfast

The house is somewhat noisy (e.g. road in front of the house could be heard), but this was not a big issue.

The breakfast was mediocre with very basic choices. Smaller room than what appears on pictures. Room on the third floor without elevator.
