The hotel is set on the eastern side of one of two high hills of Lyon, the Croix Rousse. This situation gives stunning views from the hotel of the river Rhône and the city of Lyon. It also gives easy access to the lively historic city centre (Terraux) and lots of small artisan boutiques, restaurants and bars. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly hotel staff, who showed us to our room. We stayed in a room with a view of the Rhône. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Again, friendly staff were present to take drink orders, and there was a superb array of food, all of which was delicious.

Beautiful hotel and a superb breakfast. Room was small but perfectly appointed with very high ceilings. The bar / breakfast terrace has literally one of the best views in Lyon, fantastic. Reception team were very kind when we arrived, tired out from a long hot drive, and offered us water and assisted with getting acts to the room.

Arrival - there was work going on around the hotel so all the green areas and parts of the road were dug up - not the hotels fault but not a great first impression. We had booked a car parking space and had arrived after a 5 hour drive. We were tired and very hot. The parking space was in an underground car park near the hotel but the directions were poor and it was very frustrating and tiresome locating the entrance and then trying to navigate back... Location is a little far out but manageable with taxis to get to the old part of the city.

We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our first trip to Lyon. We felt like movie stars staying in this gorgeous hotel. The staff were very helpful and professional. Our room was of a good size with a very high ceiling, which made it feel even more spacious. Modern furnishings added to the classy style. The bed was of a good size and very comfy. We had a gorgeous black marble tiled bathroom with a delightful rain shower and nice smelling products. Outside in the courtyard, there is a bar open to all with views over Lyon and the river, very relaxing and romantic. There was even a private patio area a few steps down for guests if there were no seats left in the bar. It is important to note that there are a lot of hills and steps in this area. It was fine for us who used it for extra exercise but not easy for people with mobility issues.

Friendly and helpful staff is top of our list, very important for travelers from foreign country - we were super impressed with the staff - thank you! The building is impressive. A real fort converted into a super hotel. The spectacular views of the river Rhone and city of Lyon. Very clean and comfortable room. Highly recommended.

The outside visitors had the best seating on the terrace. It did get a bit loud during the evening with outside visitors but..they were just having a good time :-) and since our room faced away from the noisy area it did not really bother us. The graffiti in the area and bad smells in some streets around the area were quite off putting.

Our stay was unforgettable and really nice. The location was perfect and the room view too. Beds were comfortable, shower was clean while water always had perfect temperature. We enjoyed living in the fort, lying on white linens and looking through the high fort windows as real princesses in a caste. It was quiet and warm. However, it is important to mention that we didn’t have a fridge so cheese and ham were on the windowsill out of the room. We also used the coffee machine and were provided with new capsules each day! Everything was clean. Also no noise. The interior depicted on the website looked the same as in real life. It was a pleasant surprise to live on a page of an interior journal. Free hotel umbrellas helped as many times. Stuff was polite and friendly except the girl-receptionist on our check-in who was tired, unfriendly and led a discussion with us about the €300 deposit that could only be left by card. Finally, we were dispirited but left it in cash. Deposit info wasn’t mentioned while booking.

The location and the hotel itself were top notch and the staff was extremely nice. I loved the fact that they called in advance to organise the parking and they booked a really nice restaurant nearby for me and my kids.

Given how difficult it was to circulate with the car in the hotel area, having to return the parking card to the hotel reception was very inconvenient.

A very comfortable and spacious suite. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared for the guests. Despite the short notice, my child's extra bed was ready upon check-in, along with a coloring book for him—a very special touch. The facilities are amazing, and the staff is attentive. Luxurious in just the right measure and extremely comfortable. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking.

Good Location. Nearby ca. 200 M everything you need: Modern Public Parking (expensive but No choice); Good restaurants and Cafés. Good Quartier. Walk 10 Min to Vieux Lyon, and go back to your Hotel with the Bus or walk UP 12 to 15 Min walk. Very Quite rooms and NICE View from the Hotel terrasse.

Beautiful location on the hillside, with stunning views over Lyon. Very well presented hotel with comfortable and stylish rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Minor issue really, but our stay would have been better if we could have had twin beds for our teenage sons.

Everything is designed beautifully and the staff is so so friendly. They helped me reserve a parking spot and were really kind whenever I asked for anything. The hotel is dog friendly which was amazing. Loved the coffee station in the room and the terrace outside for an apero. Will be back when the gym opens in March :)
