Very nice hotel in a convenient area in the city centre with many restaurants and cafes around. The old building has undergone a really nice renovation, the interior is quite impressive. Excellent mattresses, roller blinds and quiet guaranteed long and relaxing sleep. Very clean in general with a convenient bathroom. 24h-reception with very friendly staff. We didn't try breakfast because we slept a lot and because there are many interesting breakfast places around the corner. We would definitely stay in Hotel Saint Vincent next time in the city.

A very nice hotel at the price. The room was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable. It was in a great location and the staff were very helpful.

The coffee served with the breakfast was weak. Need to change that up. Also, I think it would be great if the front desk didn’t ask you for your room number every time you go in and out. I have been to a lot of hotels and have never experienced this before. It’s like they are monitoring you or something I mean, you just want to leave and come back without being questioned every time. I am sure they mean well but we found it very annoying.

first of all, location is very great. Walkable distance to many main places. The personnel are very kind and helpful. The rooms are located on first floor (no elevator) and on a big endless corridor (aisle) which I found very funny. If you bring heavy bags/baggages, to walk to the rooms can be challenging. The rooms are cleaned everyday. There is no sleeper, if you don't want to be bare foot, I recommend bring your own.

Even though the location is great, to walk to the nearest metro takes 8-10 minutes walk, which was not a problem for me at all. Lyon is very walking friendly city.

The location was perfect, in the town and 5 minutes walk to Vieux (Old) Lyon. Building outside was in red which made it stand out (a good marker to find our way 'home') from your normal/bland hotel fronts. Fantastic walk to the Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourviere. Beautiful room, clean, bright and airy. Bathroom clean and tidy. We had the 3rd floor with traditional French spiral stairway and steps. We are step/walk fanatics so this was a pleasure for us. The owner and the other gentleman on the reception where so helpful to us. Suggested places to visit in detail. Wonderful. Breakfast was buffet style, self service and a good selection for the start of your day. They appreciated that we wanted to practice our French and accommodated us. For me he spoke slower which I really appreciated.

Good location and beautiful architecture, with tons of exposed, original stone and beautifully restored beams. The staff was helpful and courteous.

The Wi-Fi is horrible both in speed and function. Having to log in every time we returned to the room is a pain and because you log in with your email, you can only have 1 device logged in at a time. If logged in on my phone, I needed to log off of that if I wanted to use my laptop. Just a pain in the rear.

Beautiful renovated historical building. Good size room, very clean and quiet. The location was excellent. I walked everywhere. There is a bridge just across the street that takes you to the old town. I didn’t take public transportation, but there was bus stop half a block from the hotel. They are very good restaurants and Cafes near the hotel.

The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. It was not a problem for me to go up and down the stairs.

The hotel is lovely. The architecture is fascinating, with exposed stone walls so you can see the ancient building, everything recently redone to be fresh. Rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, showers had plenty of hot water. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. It is on a quiet street but the location is superb - near plenty of restaurants and cafes, a block from the river and close to city buses and other transport. Breakfast, for which one pays extra, was very good.

The wifi in our room was intermittent at best (not uncommon in old stone buildings).

The location was fantastic. A short walk to bus stops and walking distance from so much of the heart of Lyon. The hotel is attractive and well-maintained.

I know this is not uncommon in Europe but needing to walk through the bedroom to get from the toilet to a sink is not something we’re used to. Not much can be done about it without renovation and it seems recently renovated. I like to wash my hands before touching doors others will be touching. After just one night the staff seemed perplexed at the fact that we didn’t need or want maid service. (Perhaps this is a cultural difference?) After turning the AC on and then off we were asked about this at the front desk as we departed for the day which felt a little odd. Maybe a coincidence?

Everything was excellent at this hotel, starting with the extremely helpful, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable man at the front desk, whose name I unfortunately did not get. On his day off, his younger replacement at the desk was also very pleasant and helpful. This is the way hotels used to be, in the best sense, i.e. efficiency, warmth, local knowledge. As opposed to some of the other hotels on this trip which had minimal everything including service. The location is convenient, quiet. Breakfast is very good. Even the maps available in the lobby - of Lyon and of transit - were excellent, included every street, and were invaluable.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.
