I was there for two nights with my wife. Our first time in the Canyon Lake area. We were delighted to see beautiful and friendly white tail deer families a few times during our stay. The decor in the room was nice. Clean place with a kitchenette that worked very well for us. With the lake just down the ramp we were able to be by the water and get inspiration from the gentle breeze.

Like a lot of hotels nowadays there are no drawers to put your clothes in. Also no elevator to the second floor so be ready to carry your bags up, don't make them too heavy!

The hotel is inexpensive, but located near the Overlook Park, where you can walk along the dam overlooking the lake and the public trail along the Guadeloupe river with free parking. We took tacos to feed the deer that came every day in the late afternoon on the hotel lawn. The kitchenette is small, but has everything you need for a short stay. The bathroom is renovated, with a good shower and water pressure. The owner Mark is very kind. Rooms with two beds are all on the ground floor, each equipped with air conditioning for single room. Rooms with one king size bed on the second. Very nice outdoor area.

It would be desirable to add a shelf in the bathroom to place various accessories (cosmetics, colognes, combs, toothbrushes, etc.). And also need to add face towels in addition to bath towels and fingertips towels.

Mark was an excellent host! He allowed us to check in over the phone when our arrival time changed. He shared with us all of the best restaurants and activities in the area and provided us with a map of the lake. As far as the facilities, we had everything we needed (mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave & hair dryer) and the bed was so comfortable!!!!

One very small note, if your hair is spoiled like mine you may want to bring your own shampoo & conditioner as the one they provide is a thin, combo shampoo & conditioner product. We were the only ones there during our stay, however, if the place was full I could see where parking the boat could have been a challenge due to the small lot.

Clean, nicely decorated, close to lake and dam park( which offers beautiful walk and views at the sunset), hosts are friendly, has big shared balcony.

Location of the building and room wasn’t what i expected- room was the closest to the road and even if the road is not that busy, you can hear loud cars, and also i just don’t think a little glimse of water is considered to lake view room.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. When I walked in, I was beyond pleased. It was more beautiful than the picture I had seen online. Very comfortable bed and the room was so clean. Mark the owner was very welcoming and informative to the area. I cant say enough good things about this place. Would defiantly recommend this to anyone wanting to come to Canyon Lake.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about this place.

Very nice little Lodge of the beaten path, quiet, very clean room with a porch and lake view. The manager was friendly and helpful. Big room with a king bed, little kitchenette and all what you need. We enjoyed sitting at the porch, reading and watching the deer. The lake is really close.

The location was wonderful central to any way you wanted to go. A short walk to the lake and you can see the lake from your balcony. Mark, the owner, was amazing. Super friendly place. Everyone is kind and the room is extremely clean. The beds were so soft. Well always stay there every time we’re in the area.

The staff greeted us with a warm welcome. He shared local eateries and other local hangouts.

Everything was great and we have no dislikes. The price and location were perfect and we were able to enjoy a peaceful weekend.

The room was very quiet, comfortable, spacious and artistically decorated, with a nicely equipped kitchenette and an electric heater for cold nights. It was located next to a boat launch on Canyon Lake.

The rest of the building appears to be a work in progress.

the room was extremely clean and well organized

the beds being full size were not good for couples.. the room sleeps 4 but not 4 adults or grown children… full size bed were 2 small that my husband and I slept in separate beds.. the comforter was way toooooo big for the bed and was annoying and heavy to move around.. the occupants on top floor were walking around around midnight for about an hr.. which woke me up and as well the day of check out they did so much walking and moving things around that I actually called office thinking someone was working.. we could not enjoy a sleep in the day of check out.. maybe book first floor first before second floor. I was so annoyed and tempted to hit the ceiling. but would not keep us from returning..
