San Michele delle Grotte BnB was ideally located in the center of the historical and picturesque town of Gravina. Our apartment could have accommodated a family of 5, equipped with a kitchen, and the smaller apartment upstairs could accommodate grandparents or other traveling companions. The owner "Roberto" spoke English fluently, and shared information on Gravina's ancient origins (dating back thousands of years), even giving us a tour of recently discovered archeological sites in very close proximity. He also recommended good restaurants in the area and excursions worthy of our attention. We will definitely return to San Michele on our next trip to Gravina!!!

Breakfast vouchers could have been for more than one bar, as the bar close by was closed one day without notice. This was not the fault of San Michele delle Grotte!

Parking not straightforward, street parking only - 100m plus from the apartment. It was a holiday when we arrived and Roberto had to help us find parking after I had followed his instructions but driven down the streets he suggested for parking places 4 times - in VERY narrow congested streets. I had a smallish car. A tea towel would have been helpful to dry dishes.

The very comfortable apartment was near the centre of town, and only a short walk from the local morning farmers market. We had all necessary facilities, and our very approachable host Roberto (who lives nearby) went out of his way to assist us with information and advice. The location was perfect: an easy walk to local restos and a spectacular ravine (for which Gravina is famous) - and some fascinating archeological digs.

Plenty of space - even more than expected from the pictures. The host Roberto was most welcoming, and waited for us even though our bus was late. Lots of help when we arrived. The location was two minutes walk from the main square, which is a delight in the evenings. The kitchen was superb, with everything available that was needed, as well as tea and coffee. VERY comfortable bed.

We stayed for two nights, which were Friday and Saturday. Both nights there was lots of noise from young people in the street, and even shutting the windows didn’t shut out all of the noise. Perhaps this may not be a problem on weekdays - we don’t know. Although the bed was super comfy, the pillows were a bit lumpy, and should probably be replaced.

Apartment in the very center of Gravina in Puglia. There are many cafes around where you can eat and it's fun to walk and admire the old town. The apartment is very cozy, with a well-functioning air conditioner and wifi. The owner Roberto is very nice. He showed us the remains of ancient buildings under the apartment, which he excavates himself. It was very interesting to see and hear Roberto story about his archeological excavations. We had a pleasant stay here.

Apartments in the heart of the city, near the central square. The owner of the apartment arranged for an Italian breakfast in the nearby cafe. If you want more than the coupon offers you can buy it separately. Very caring host. If something is missing or unclear, he will always help. We were checked in early and allowed to stay longer than the checkout time. Host advised about free parking nearby. Apartment has own dungeon. Ask host about possibility to visit it.

Good location very close to the ponte aqueduct and city center. Large space with lovely terrace. Amazing shower when we figured houhow to it. Good communication with Robert - the host

The property was spacious and light. It was equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely little terrace that we could sit on, with a view to the beautiful fountain in the nearby square.

There honestly was nothing that we didn’t like. We loved it.
