The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room a good size. The food served at breakfast was very good. The location in excellent, just a stone's throw from the town centre. ps. Please ignore the photographs, they do not relate to this hotel and I cannot get booking.com to remove them.

The road outside the hotel is quite noisy, especially in the evenings when the boy racers are out and about. I would ask for a room overlooking the river if you want peace and quiet. On the first morning we asked the staff at breakfast if they would turn down the terrible music; surely no one wants to listen to dreadful banging music first thing in the morning? I don't know if it was due to our complaints but there was no music at all on the second and third days. It's an Art Deco hotel; please consider playing some music from the 1920s and 1930s! We can't stand piped music on the landings either, please turn it off. There was also an issue with cigarette smoke coming through the air vent into our bathroom.

Very nice hotel: great style, excellent location. We stayed in the executive suite on the 2nd floor. The room was fantastic. Nice decoration, so nice to have a separate living room. Two sinks are also much appreciated. The room has blinds both on the inside and on the outside, so you can really make it completely dark when sleeping. Staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great, except for the quality of the coffees (do-it-yourself machine). Parking is possible (not free) in the parking garage directly underneath the hotel.

The pillows were too thin. The quality of the coffee at breakfast could be better. We heard some chairs scraping on the floor (not sure below or avove) very early in the morning (multiple nights). Not sure if this was in a general space or in people's rooms.

Grand Hotel Vallies is located in the heart of Roermond. There is a parking garage underneath, which was full but you can easily park across the hotel in the parking garage. We got a free upgrade to a Suite, which was amazing. What we loved most about our stay: - The suite is very spacious, it has a huge bathroom and a free minibar. - The location of the hotel is convenient and its easy to park your car. - There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants in the area. - The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly.

What could have been better: - Don't stay here if you want peace and quiet, because it's quite noisy outside (even with the windows closed). - The bathroom of the Suite was a bit smelly, because there is no ventilation. - The interior overall is a little bit outdated. - The pillows were very flat and the bed could have been more firm.

We had a romantic weekend getaway and decided to stay at this hotel, and we’re so glad we did! The hotel is definitely worth the price. It offers a fantastic breakfast, and the view of the canal is absolutely beautiful. The location is also perfect, with the famous Outlet just a short distance away, making it super convenient. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

We did not even have a hand soap in our room

Room was clean and well appointed. The location was excellent base for walking to nearby places, especially the factory outlet. We drove, so we booked the carpark slot in advance. Entry to the carpark upon booking was seamless, and bonus for that is we could leave the car in the car park the next day after we checked out while we explored the city before we drove out in the afternoon. Breakfast which was included had great selections.

It could have been better if the hotel provide slippers in the room for guests, the tile floor got cold during our stay. It also is better if there is a shower head installed in the shower rather than just rainshower.

I really liked this hotel's central location. Tricky to arrive to by car as there is no apparent "unloading area" but that comes with the central location. Room was excellent. Our room had a lovely balcony (on the sixth floor) and that was very nice. The food in the restaurant was lovely.

I'm not sure about the bathroom solution :D A rainshower is great, but there's a need for a more, let's say accessible shower head for specific parts of your body :D Other than that there's absolutely nothing to complain about.

I recently had an exceptional experience at Grand Hotel Valies! Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast: The breakfast delicious with a great variety of options. It was a delightful way to start each day! Room: My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with cozy amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Grand hotel Valies for I can’t wait to return!

It is not the concern of guests as to what sub-letting arrangements are in place to run tbe bar/ or sell drinks. If a guest is on the hotel premises, the pricing should be uniform/consistent. BUT, reception says Aperol Spritz did cost $8.50, then the sub- let bar charges $10.50, then the hotel bar charges $12.50!! Sub-letting arrangements should be 'invisiblle'/ descreet arrangments, not openly discussed and used Bb as an excuse to customers. Basically, I think the hotel is great, but we do object to rude and predatory pricing that is variable and excessive.....it leaves an unpleasant feeling that undermines the other hotel positives.

They did not accept payment on the end of the trip before leave. We had to pay in the night after check in. Normally it is not complication but our trip should be paid by our boss and he is not available during night and hotel service did not want to leave payment to the next morning. It complicated little bit situation but everything else was ok.

We chose this hotel as a stopover because of its location for our drive to Amsterdam. The hotel room was comfortably equipped, modern and very clean. It was very convenient to drive directly from the underground car park to the room floor. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a picturesque view of the canal behind the hotel. Unfortunately the timetable didn't leave us any time to see Roermond.
