Location. Cleanliness. Atmosphere. The cleaning staff is absolutely sweet. In general, really liked the vibe of being in the hotel. Greatly managed and guests focused.

We stayed at 5th floor and midday there were some construction noises coming from upstairs. The cleaning was still trying to get into the room hesitating the do not disturb sign. Happened just once. The elevator has been having hard times, I guess because of the other guests overloading it constantly and breaking it down. We were unlucky once when it broke we had to use the stairs, but it got fixed really quick - its just the guests not paying attention to the sign in the elevator ( max 3 people ). Also, there was one unfriendly staff member on the reception, we got him just couple of times, though the rest of the team was great and helpful.

All of the staff were very welcoming and professional. The location is excellent for being close to major streets, bus routes, and the sea. It is not such a big hotel that it actually feels cozy and I enjoyed staying there. The copious breakfast buffet options varied daily and were fresh and delicious. I also dined in their restaurant for dinner and the service and food were excellent.

I am looking forward to when their spa opens in January 2025 and would suggest that hotel guests get a discount!

The hotel is well located (you can reach the Bastion Saint Remy in five minutes and also the Marina district in the same time). The staff is excellent: welcoming, helpful, effective. Breakfast was very good (lots of choices for every taste) with coffee drinks made to order (something we really appreciate since the machines found in many hotels are subpar). We booked a superior room with sea view. It had a walk in rainforest shower and was spacious and comfortable (other room categories might be smaller). We would definitely stay at the Regina Margherita again when back in Cagliari.

A wide variety of locally sourced products are offered in buffet-type service. The staff is always available, willing to help and to go the extra mile. It would be nice if the breakfast room was a bit more colourful and the staff wore more elegant attire instead of the old-fashioned black trousers/waistcoat and white shirt.

– It is missing a gym, which is planned very soon – I reckon that the restaurant area could be used also for the breakfast and open it to paying outsiders.

The staff was terrific, providing excellent service. The location is perfect for being close to restaurants and shopping. We really appreciated the secure parking in the garage beneath the hotel.

The hotel looks a bit worn. Much of the furniture is banged up. It's possible they are trying to renovate it, because one of the elevators was out of service and they were working on it. They have a lot more work to do to bring this up to four star standard.

Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Reception very helpful. We ate in twice and the hotel food was v good. Waiter very knowledgeable about local wine and cuisine, took time to explain. Breakfast selection well presented. Room cleaning, through.

Only outside space was a ledge to the side of the main entrance. Roof top bar would be brilliant!

Breakfast for me and for my wife, since it was the gluten free basket. Very friendly staff was always ready to help. Good breakfast variation and taste, good location. Shortly said: fantastic hotel.

The lights in our room were sometimes a bit buggy (switching off because the card in the reader was glitching).

Very centrally located for the city of Cagliari and all it has to offer. Very close to restaurants etc and the main harbour and shopping streets. The room was not very large but it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was updated. I have stayed in many hotels around the world. This hotel might seem a little dated and tired in places, but the staff are marvellous, and that is what really makes a stay in a place valuable or not. We arrived very early in the day and we were allowed to check in much before the scheduled time. We were also allowed a very generous late check out time. We didn't have to pay extra for either of these. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is plentiful and a wide choice from fresh fruit and yogurt to pastries to cereals to fried food. Something for everyone. The bar are is very nice and the bar staff very attentive. Drinks are not over priced. We also had a very nice sea view from our room. I would certainly recommend this hotel. It is not the cheapest in the city but I think good value for money.

I cannot think of anything that was so bad it is worth a mention. Credit where credit due. Nothing bad to say about the place.

Only feedback would be they need to remove the stairs to the lifts and replace with a ramp. As someone with a disability and carting bags up was not ideal

Really clean, cool and classy during our visit for a week in July 2023. Excellent breakfast, very obliging and helpful staff. Fast and comprehensive room service. Nice rooms. Would definitely choose again!

Would have been incredible if they had a pool, but otherwise nothing we “didn’t like” here. Beach is a short (regular) bus ride away anyway.
