Clean, smart and unique trullo with plenty of outside seating, lovely pool with plenty of seating, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Pool loungers were a little uncomfortable and evening meal menu wasn’t to everyone’s taste. Also no real place to have evening drink apart from restaurant. But these are minor points on what was a great one week holiday and location.

This place is a gem. Relaxing, comfortable. The food was excellent, both included breakfast and dinners that are extra. And the staff was friendly and professional. I speak Italian and enjoyed talking with our efficient breakfast and dinner waiters: Adriano, Mimo and Francesco.

I didn't like driving on the very very narrow roads to get to the place but they have no control over that.

Stunning Trulli hotel in beautiful countryside. Gorgeous pool with enough shaded and unshaded sun loungers scattered around it and the surrounding garden area. Delicious dinners and breakfasts. Clean and comfortable rooms. Our bathroom was huge and the double shower was a particular treat. Staff were helpful but kept discreetly in the background. We really enjoyed our stay overall and the below points are just finesses that would make the hotel even better!

Would be great if the bar stayed open later into the evening. Would have been nice to be able to come back and have a drink after driving to a nearby town for dinner. Coffee was surprisingly disappointing for Italy but food and drinks otherwise good. Complimentary mineral or filtered drinking water in the rooms would be a nice touch.

Really calm and relaxed setting but close enough to sights for day trips. Comfortable and Apuglia chic room, which was kept spotless by the excellent and friendly housekeeping. Grounds absolutely gorgeous too, again tended to by a lovely gardener. Includes beautifully maintained pool area and kitchen gardens. All the staff were relaxed, friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and a nice way to chill before and after a busy day, but the nearby Cisternino (also beautiful old town) has lots of lovely dining options which the staff are happy to provide suggestions. Private and free parking available on the grounds too. Would definitely stay here again for our next Puglia adventure.

Lovely setting and gorgeous property, really nice rooms and facilities. Well looked after and clean with good local towns and eateries, location is fantastic.

The attention to detail was lacking around the guest areas and the staff on the whole weren’t the most friendly. It felt a little bit like by being a guest you were an inconvenience. I’m sure they were doing their best but it just lacked any real customer service. Especially when you compare it to other similar properties in the area.

Absolutely beautiful. Really spacious. Lots of lovely areas to sit around in. Lovely breakfast included. We left an item in our room that the cleaners found and we were immediately phoned about which was great

It is really quite remote, only 10minutes to Cisternino but down winding country roads so if going out for dinner one person isn’t having wine!

These i trulli dwellings were gorgeous. The breakfast was fabulous with many options, including omelettes. We also had dinner here one night, and the chef came out to speak with us for some time. We are "foodies", so we really appreciated this aspect. The wildflowers on the grounds were beautiful, which added to the beauty of this borgo.

The pool area was in a beautiful setting, however, we were here in October, and although the weather was warm, the pool was not heated. We also rented a car, and the access roads were narrow, but that is to be expected in this amazing area.

Wow. This place was absolutely incredible. The rooms are immaculate, super stylish and so comfortable. The grounds are heavenly. You can take a stroll through some of the most beautiful Puglian countryside. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and attentive to every need. And the food. My goodness. It was some of the best food we had in Italy. We will be dreaming about coming back to Borgo Canonica.

The countryside setting is stunning, the gardens are glorious, the pool area is devine & the rooms are comfortable & beautifully unique. We absolutely loved our stay here & would’ve stayed longer if we could. A perfect location to explore the local region & a quiet haven to come back to.

Breakfast was excellent. Wide choice of fruits, bread, meats and pastries

It would have been nice to have a bar where you could get a drink and relax in the evening. Pool bar closed at 7 pm so you had to go to a nearby town for drinks. A bar would encourage people to stay in the hotel at night
