This place is one of the most welcoming, greeted with a glass of excellent wine when we arrived after a long day of driving. We were met by Chiara, who made sure our every request was granted. She gave us an extensive impromptu tour of the winery, made dinner reservations for us, helped establish local connections to an apiary, recited history lessons on the region, and made us feel like we were family. The host provided us with automobile support and made connections to a local garage when our rental car had problems; Chiara made reservations for us. The room was very comfortable - located immediately off a main road but far enough back from the road that traffic was not heard. In addition, the breakfast was outstanding with options in every food category from a variety of fresh fruit, to cheese, meat, and bread, to cereals, pancakes, and danishes, to freshly pressed orange juice and coffees, and various other items. This is a local family-owned business that should be on any traveler's destination.

That we had to leave!

The staff were amazing! Arriving by train was not the best option, Chiara however organised a Taxi to pick us up from San Bonifacio train station. I would recommend staying here if you have a car, also because there is no restaurant at the property, which we didn't think to check beforehand. Francesca drove us to Soave for dinner on her way home from work one evening because the road from Monte Tondo to Soave is a bit tricky to walk along. We did manage to do so a few times though (once at nicht with three lights to warn cars of our location) to wander through Soave and the adjoining vineyards. On the way home we got stuff from the supermarket and had a nice picnic at the property accompanied by the house wine from the minibar.

The accommodation is not at fault that we attract mosquitos but if you want to lay by the pool at dusk, spray yourself against the critters. We also had a 'heat it' stick to alleviate bites afterwards. During the day and in the sun it's no problem though. The pool was refreshing as it wasn't too warm, also the surrounding tress were lovely to lay by.

The staff was extremely nice and attentive. We arrived before the check-in time and we were allow to go to the pool area and enjoy the morning. The room was very big with an extra large bed. Everything was very clean, with toiletries, supplies for coffee and tea and extra towels for the pool. We did the wine tasting that included a short tour of the production area and the tasting of four wines, a small cold cut and cheese board with bread. Worth it for only 20 euros. The breakfast was excellent, specially the home made cakes and pastries. They were constantly refilling the plates with fresh new products. The location was very convenient. It was 5 minute drive to Soave, a charming small medieval town.

Unforgettable stay. We used it only for 1 night accommondation returning from the sea. Amazing location close to Soave village. Charming building surrounded with vineyards, room also very spacy, huge modern bathrooom, towels for indoor usage and separated towels for the pool. Very warm staff, welcome drink of local Soave Classico. Good breakfast not only italian sweet, but also with choice hams, salami, cheese, boiled eggs, possibility of hand pressing fresh juice of prepared oranges and lemons. Very kind staff giving you map and hints for dinner in Soave (1 km). Biggest benefit in warm days is outdoor pool surrounded with olive trees. Generally amazing stay with experience of italian winery and closing of the day in olive garden with bottle of local amazing Valpolicella Ripasso in the evening made unforgettable atmosphere. As we have once more possibility to stay in this region (Verona 30km, Venice 80km), we will return there for sure !

Stay was too short...

We enjoyed staying at Monte Tondo Winery. The staff were very warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was nice to find a selection of wines available for purchase in the rooms. The prices were extremely reasonable. Breakfast was great. We loved the garden pool as well.

While the pool garden is lovely, it isn't quiet due to the proximity to the highway. Over time it becomes white noise, so it's not a deal breaker. Would happily stay again.

We stayed at the newly renovated building, which was amazing. Everything was new, there is even an elevator in case it is needed. The staff is super friendly, the wine tasting is a must go experience, breakfast has good options and the pool is just perfect. The location is the best you can get in that region. Calm but by car it takes 3 min to Soave, 20 to Verona and 25 to Vicenza. 100% recommended!

Good location especially for those who want to visit Venice, Verona, Padua. This place is a working vineyard producing very good wine. Rooms without windows, but with a barrel in the ceiling. Air-conditioned rooms. A plus was that you could not hear the nearby highway at all. The facility atmospheric, breakfast for European standards poor, but for Italian standards - sufficient. Swimming pool - salvation on hot days. Nearby very atmospheric and beautiful town of Soave. In addition to the castle there are great restaurants. Large parking lot. Great privacy. Very discreet service.

Nothing comes to my mind

A lovely winery where we did a wine tasting and tour as well as stayed over night. It is located a short drive (5min) from Soave township. While close to the highway - noise was not a problem. The staff was so helpful and friendly, especially when we had a problem with a toll ticket we had not paid. They were proactive in helping us establish how to pay for it. Their wine is very good and I recommend the tour.

We chose to stay here, outside of Verona, and we are so pleased with our choice. We were promptly greeted with warm hospitality and some wine. We didn’t have a reservation for any tastings or a tour; but in spite of that, and even with a large tour coming through, one of the associates quickly showed us their tasting room and barrels and told us about their process. A primary reason for our trip was for wine tasting/education, so this made us very happy. It’s close enough to Verona to explore there, but not inside the bustle of the city, and parking was free. The room was a very nice size, the bed was comfortable and the included breakfast was quite satisfying and delicious! All in, this is an excellent property and we would unquestionably stay here again.

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised as to how beautiful the property was and how amazing our accommodations were. It was great to have the outdoor pool open 24 hours and the included breakfast was bar none the best value we ever had.
