Everything!! There was nothing to dislike. The host Ismail abi was amazing and very helpful, from carrying our (heavy) bags down the stairs to serving us tea and giving us a quick orientation of the hotel and explaining where things were in town. The place was clean, the views are amazing, comfy beds, decent size shower, and even amazing views from the best room in the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, we got full and was still a bit of food left, top quality and fresh items on offer. Parking was a breeze, right in front of the hotel and within minutes you are in the old town.

We absolutely loved our stay at Seyir Konak Otel in Safranbolu. This beautifully restored Ottoman home offered not only a charming and comfortable atmosphere, but most truly unforgettable - their hospitality. From the start, Ismail was incredibly kind and helpful — always ready with a warm smile, great conversation, and helpful suggestions. The owner, Abdullah, was equally welcoming and genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. You can tell this hotel is a labor of love. Our room was the best in the house, with views overlooking the city. The traditional wooden details and peaceful ambiance made it feel like stepping back in time. It was the most comfortable stay we’ve had so far! Beautiful bedspreads with hand embroidered detail kept us snug at night while sleeping with the windows open for a cool breeze - loved it!! Breakfast was fresh, generous, and delicious — served on the patio overlooking the best view!! The location was also perfect for exploring Safranbolu’s historic center on foot, with the old bazaar just 2 minutes away. If you want an authentic and heartwarming experience in Safranbolu, I can’t recommend Seyir Konak Otel enough. Thanks again to İsmail and Abdullah for making our stay so special — we hope to return and stay longer!!!

We like the decoration and the location of the hotel. Although the building is old with no elevator, it is well furnished with modern facilities and bathroom. It is very close to the bazaar and we enjoy wandering around the town day and night. We were impressed by the breakfast, the view and most of all the service provided by the manager. Ismail was really friendly, kind, humorous and provided all the services and information we needed. He stayed with us when we have to wait for taxi in the midnight, serve us hot tea to keep us warm and helped us with the luggage. He escorted us to the trustworthy place for shopping and gave useful advice for dinning. We have the most memorable and pleasurable time here because of Ismail and hope to see him again when we return.

The building itself is historic, one of the Ottoman styles of homes. The owners have decorated it with period pieces, so you feel as though you've stepped back in time. Check-in was smooth. The owner's brother has a restaurant close to the hotel, and guests get a discount (highly recommend his restaurant!). The beds are comfy. The breakfast is BIG, with tables served the same dishes individually (not buffet). Thanks to Abdullah and his team for giving us a GREAT memorable stay.

FYI to guests with mobility issues: the hill to the hotel from the old city centre is quite steep. It takes only 5 minutes going down to reach the centre. Otherwise, no issues!

The hotel in a Good and quite location of the city and view of both the valley and the old city. The Historical buildings were well maintained. The breakfast was excellent! Ismael was very helpful with the luggage and provided tips for the city.

The rooms were a little bit small. One of my rooms showed a bunker bed but it turned out to be very short for a grown man. Ismael quickly resolved the issue and found us another room. The hotel is at different levels and needs stairs to get between them.

The location of the hotel is really great which was just a few minutes walk to the bazaars. It's a bit of a hike but you won't regret it because of its beautiful view! The hotel is an old traditional house which provided us with an intimate and authentic feel. The room and the entire house is clean and cosy too! We enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the beautiful town, and it's definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The hospitality of Abdullah, our host, was impeccable! From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly and gave us recommendations on some places to visit. He made sure that we were having a great time during our stay, and we truly appreciate that.

Since it is an old traditional house, it is made of wood so hearing noise from outside is inevitable. In addition to this, we thought that the hotel accepts credit card but we were asked to pay in cash. Although ATMs can easily be found near the hotel, it would have been better if credit cards were accepted.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seyir Konak Otel. The building is full of charm and history, and the rooms are clean, cozy, and traditionally decorated. The staff—Berkay, Ismail, and Mehmet—were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and always available when we needed something. The location is perfect for exploring the old town, and breakfast was fresh, generous, and served with care. Great value for money—we would definitely stay here again!

It was great pleasure to meet the owner as soon as we stepped out of the car. After a very warm welcome and quick property tour we were treated with turkish coffee at the scenic terrace overlooking the old town center. Breakfast was delicious outside. Great location close to the town up with breathtaking view of the town. We loved this family run property with its charm, cleanliness and character. Each room is a bit different but quite authentic. Also, the service and staff was excellent.

For young children or very old adults the walk down to the town center can be a bit tiring or tricky.

Classic Ottoman vacation home. Great hospitality and awesome breakfast. Beautiful view of Safranbolu with free flow of cay during evenings. We had great discounts on shopping,restaurant and entrance with Abdullah recommendation 🤩 We really enjoyed the stays at Seyir Konak and, Evmir was helpful and friendly offering lot of information ❤️😃

We arrived at the hotel too early, but the staff also allowed us to check in early and rest, which was great! The location is very good, close to the Hidirlik hill and the old town street. Surrounding view was also great! Friendly and nice staff, what a wonderful! Manager Ismail was helpful, he provide good service for us The breakfast was rich and delious. Highly recommended to stay! 5 stars+
