The hotel is a beautiful, well-preserved historic mansion that captures the essence of Safranbolu’s rich heritage. Rooms: The rooms are tastefully decorated, combining traditional Ottoman charm with modern comforts. My room was clean, spacious, and filled with character. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor. Service: The hospitality at Arifbey Konak was exceptional. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Location: The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Safranbolu’s old town, within walking distance of many historical sites and attractions. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area’s unique architecture and picturesque streets.

Due to the nature of the traditional building, sound-proofing is somewhat lacking. At times, it could be a bit noisy, especially with sounds from the road. However, this is a minor inconvenience considering the overall charm and experience the hotel offers.

This is different kind of hotel comparing to most of other hotels we have been to. It is an old Ottoman style, traditional house, converted to the hotel. We felt that provision of required services, while preserving authentic facility was done very well, and we felt really nice. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is great.

This hotel was one of the most unique and special experiences I ever had with accommodating in many different countries. There was a feelling of staying at your grandma's country house - such a warm, easy-going and welcoming treatment we got from the owners... It was extremely clean, the breakfast was amazing and the location too! I don't know much about other hotels in Safranbolu, but it seems to me it could be the best option :) I highly recommend this place and don't hesitate to book a room here if you are looking for a home feeling and great welcome :)

Everything was great and amazing!

The host was kind and courteous. Requests are answered quickly. They always ask you what you need. The most important thing is the good cleanliness of the place. The hotel is very close to transportation, cafes and restaurants.

The place is welcoming and heartwarming. It was extremely beautiful, authentic, close to everything, an easy to reach parking which is import in this town, and the host was simply amazing he elevated the whole experience. Also amazing breakfast everyday.

Very near the old bazaar. Old building(1880 I think)so do be prepared for some steep steps. Lovely breakfast, usual Turkish fare plus fried puffy bread or omelette. Very helpful owner.

The guesthouse is strategically located in the old town. The tranditial house is nice. The host and his family is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. It is value of your money. The room that we booked is big and comfortable too.

It's basic establishment in a large old Otoman building, with only about 6 rooms. Seems to be a family run hotel, with extremly friendly and helpful staff. Great value for your money, very nice breakfast.

Very nice little building. Room 4 was beautifully decorated. Room 5 was less beautiful, though. Great staff. breakfast was good.

The curtain was white and thin so get your eye mask ready when sleep. The bathroom was a bit outdated but you can’t be picky considering the price.

Great place with great helpful staff. Parking is on the street, but not a problem. Handy for local bars and restaurants (with alcohol) which can be a struggle in this area. Old town right on the doorstep, new town about an hour leisurely hilly walk away.
