Extremely friendly host. Good rooftop breakfast area. Great location close to main square & bus/dolmus stop. Don't use Google Maps for directions. From where the dolmus drops you walk up the stairs/small hill towards tourist office and then continue up the stairs from what might look like a rundown parking/landing area. You can reach apartment in 2-3 mins (without luggage) from bus stop. No cobblestone (just some stairs) to reach from dolmus stop, if you have rolling luggage.

As already expected (so no surprises) room is small and building is older (preserved renovated Ottoman house), so creaky, some loose railings, etc. No AC (aircon) might be a problem if you are visiting in peak summer.

this guesthouse has the best host in Safranbolu! breakfast is big, the room is very clean, and you can see the beautiful town view from the windows. the guesthouse is located at the center of the town, can walk to nice restaurants and shops within 5 mins! Safranbolu is really really beautiful. I took a long bus drive from Istanbul, but staying in this perfect guesthouse, and seeing this peaceful little town, it is worth it!

Lovely old Ottoman house in a fantastic location in the old town. We liked our charming room which we thought was very good value. The lack of aircon wasn't a problem as the room had many windows. The bathroom was compact and clean. The breakfast was served on the top floor with a lovely view. The breakfast was superb with a fresh omelet included as well as halva which was a real treat. The staff were friendly and helpful. The laundry service very reasonably priced.

Nothing. But while a lovely old house be aware that things like the handrails on the stairs are very old, so care is needed.

The view from the roof is very good.2 minutes to cinci Hamman by walk, another piont just a few minutes by walk.Loved the old house and the rich breakfast. The Turkish cheese is the best I've ever tasted, especially when cooked.The host was very helpful ,thank you so much.

There seems to be no air conditioner in the area, but it is not hot in the room. Then we have to open the window to ventilate, there are mosquitoes, which bit my child twice. But I believe this is a problem as long as you live in the old town of safranbolu.

Location is central part of the Safranbolu old town, close to the main taxi stand and walking distance to all of the old safranbolu town attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and coffee/tea was replenished, with bread, eggs, olives, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumber, dessert (halva), honey The host is just a really wonderful person, warm, friendly, always ready with excellent local advice or a cup of tea/coffee. He helped call a taxi when we left.

Bathroom has toilet and shower in the same area, so after a shower, the toilet seat etc. is wet.

A solid, low-cost hotel a few minutes' walk from the center and the old Turkish bath. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices and super-delicious scrambled eggs, all served while looking out with a spectacular view of the city.

Great location, very comfortable bed, great breakfast, and the fastest Wi-Fi during my 1month in Turkey. And most of all, super nice host. It was my birthday and the host Yasin brought me a nice cake! I m really grateful!! Will definitely stay here again if I go Safranbolu again!!!

Beautiful Ottoman house, full of character and charm. In the heart of the old town yet tucked away in a peaceful spot. Excellent breakfast. Stunning views from my room, super clean, great shower and comfy bed, couldn't have asked for more. I live in Istanbul, will definitely stay again

In love with the town and its people. The clean air, relaxness, to drink in the beauty. And of cause the uniqueness, and character of Safranbolu. To stay at Efe, an Ottman styke questhouse, was the cherry on top! So. Much charcter, clean, we were treated with so much love.

All was as we expected it.

This is one of the best places I ever stayed as a traveler, with a historic building that is well maintained and the host Yasim being so nice and responsive to our needs that we couldn’t have asked for more!
