Probably the best and cleanest budget accommodation we’ve had in 6 weeks in S.E. Asia. Very well organised and spotlessly clean. Kettle (but no coffee but we had our own) hairdryer, clean towels and room clean. Free bicycles. Receptionist was really helpful without even asking him. The private tour he arranged for us from there was really good and cheaper ($35) than we’d seen. The tour guide Vang was super nice and accommodating and very considerate and caring about my first time on the back of a motorbike. Location a little bit out of the way of the central restaurants but we like to walk so wasn’t a problem.

Nothing but would have been lovely to have sachets of coffee.

Lovely hotel to stay in Chau Doc. The rooms are really big and super clean. The guys on the reception are very helpful, book your boat trip to phnom penh, offer really good information about Chau Doc, the surroundings, what to do, and so on (they even did some research on the next football matches and wrote down, on which channel they were shown (without asking). There is also a beautiful cat on the reception who loves to get pets. I booked a trip to the holy mountain and a boat tour to the mangroves there. Mr. Vang was a perfect tour guide and told me much about the region. The hotel is not in the city center, but you can walk there easily or better take one of their free bicycles. I would suggest to spend 2 nights in Chau Doc, so you have time to explore the beautiful landscape around.

Everything was perfect. If you want to go to Cambodia by Boat from here, I would recommend to change the money ($ needed) for the visa already in Saigon, as there are no money changers in Chau Doc (only possible in banks here).

The room and staff were great. Had everything I needed including hot water. Even though English was minimal we got there with translator apps. The owner lady (who could speak English) tried her best to help me with an airline issue and organised my bus pickup for which I was hugely grateful.

The bed was really hard on an old body like mine and a couple of tea bags would have been good. And the hotel is a fair walk away from the town centre if you don’t have a bike or scooter.

This Hotel is handy to the main town and the river. We were met by Dang and the other reception staff who are friendly, knowledgeable and very willing to help with bookings, bus and information. I got sick and needed immediate healthcare, one of the staff drove me to hospital in the middle of the night after I couldn’t get a taxi or ambulance. Dang provided assistance to myself and my wife by translating my symptoms to the Drs, organising transport and on going medical treatment in Ho Chi Min City. Dang and the other staff went above and beyond the call of duty to get me to a safe place for my health.

If you’re wanting a base in Chau Doc for a few days, come here. Perfect for a 15/20 min stroll down easy side roads to the main water front/markets, or use the bicycles provided by the hostel. I think it’s more hotel than hostel. We had a kingsize room, which had a huge bathroom, and a very large comfy bed. But it was the managers that made it special as well. They organised two custom made trips for us, practically the day before. These were not expensive nor overpriced. Their effort to make our time & trips memorable was great. They also recommended that we did a trip a certain way, to get the best experiences, and then organised it for us. If you want to feel looked after, as a non speaking Vietnamese traveller, I can’t recommend them enough.

Nothing….

The hotel is well-located in Chau Doc, near a major road in the city where you can find everything you need and just a 10-minute taxi/scooter ride from the Futa bus station. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it's definitely good value for money. More than anything, the host is really helpful and nice. We would like to extend a big thank you to her; she did everything she could to make our stay in Chau Doc easier during our 3-day visit, even though we only stayed one night at her hotel (arranging mini-bus transfers, scooter rentals, luggage storage). She also provided a lot of recommendations for our visit to Chau Doc area.

Hostel Dang Loi offered a spotlessly clean, spacious, and comfortable room. The room had a range of modern facilities including kettle, hairdryer, and refrigerator. The hostel is located within walking distance to all the hot spots of the vibrant town. The staff are second to none and kindly helped us to organise motorcycle rental and plan our route to the local attractions. The staff went the extra mile to attempt to return our forgotten items. Overall an excellent accomodation experience 👌

spacious/clean room and comfortable bed. I had 3 nights and did not have any issues. Free bicycles with gears were available. They were maintained well. I used one of them to go to Sam Mountain and the city center. Friendly and helpful staffs with good command of English - they gave me a list of local food that I should try and suggested a few things that I can do in Chau Doc. They also made an arrangement for a scooter to go to Tra Su Bird Sanctuary Forest with a short notice. No breakfast is offered, but they can order it to a food vender in front of the hostel (about one dollar for a very good breakfast). They will help you if you have any issues during your stay. Just talk to them.

The lady at reception was so helpful in planning a trip out to the Tru Sa forest and Sam Mountain and our onward travel amongst other things. She helped us make our transition from Cambodian to Vietnam smooth by organising sim cards shopping to exchanging money. Thank you, a weight off our minds.

The beds were a little hard but the help we received means I'd happily sleep in a slightly harder bed.

The reception and management are out of this world: super friendly, organized, fast, ready to help and make everything easy for you. I liked the free bikes in very good conditions and the choice of our guide for the day. Good value for money, please don't change!

Maybe a mosquito net at the window so we could open it at night. But overall, as said, this Hostel highly meet quality-price ratio.
