Nice architecture, lovely owner and breakfast staff. We liked our room which was very nice room and we appreciated the attention to detail (bath oil, bath bombs and free snacks in the room), as well as the comfortable beds. It’s is great to have rooms that can accommodate families without needing separate rooms as our kids are young.

-There was some music noise nearby every night ( there must be an open air bar or club nearby). -I also hadn’t paid attention to the precise location so I’d you really want to be close to the historical part of the city you may want to choose another hotel as it’s a 20min. drive there. We didn’t mind too much as we also went to Si Satchanalai ( lovely second at site which is also UNESCO listed) for which the hotel is well located.

Stunningly beautiful property which is like a museum and a wonderful introduction to Thai history and culture. The owners have definitely made this a labour of love - it was originally a guesthouse which underwent huge renovations. The owners offer free transfers to downtown and the bus station. Huge praise goes out to the chef(s). The breakfasts were great but we ate dinner every night and Thai, Chinese and Western menu items were all delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were all very attentive and kind, offering helpful advice and sightseeing tips. We'll be back November 6-16 for Loy Kratong!

Absolutely perfect place with great and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the stunning interior design – it was simply breathtaking. The interior was inviting and elegant, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The swimming pool is surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with stylish decor, it was like a serene oasis in the middle of the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience. It's truly a gem with its stunning interior, fantastic amenities, and top-notch service.

Beautiful hotel. Great to relax. Large swimming pool, surrounded with plants. Nice lounge chairs next to the pool. Water was very clean. Lots of beautiful decorations. Free pick up/drop off to the bus station. Very nice traditional Thai massage, by two sweet ladies. Our room had strong AC, great water pressure and a small fridge.

We didn't sleep so great here. First night loud barking/fighting dogs nextdoor. Second night music beats from a bar. Third night it was quiet, so I guess it depends. No upper curtains in the room to block out the light from the hallway. Food at the hotel restaurant wasn't that great, neither was the restaurant they recommended. We didn't try the breakfast. Staff was very polite, but it felt a bit uncomfortable for us. Historical part was far away. But we managed to get a grab for 150 bht each way. At the entrance of the park you can rent bicycles for 30 bht pp. That was great.

This is a great hotel. We have stayed here before. It is a traditional Thai place. Beautifully presented with many antique and interesting pieces displayed around the hotel.. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful and make you feel very special - thank you everyone. The Owners are also very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was great, meals for dinner were also very good. We love this place. Highly recommended.

We had stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and were very pleased so on a trip up north we decided to try it again. Firstly, as with everything there was a price increased, however wasn't expecting100%. 4 years ago we paid £20 per night including breakfast, this time it was £45. Putting price aside the great selling point of this hotel is the pool, it is in the middle of the hotel and all rooms overlook it. The staff were fantastic, so attentive 4 helped us to our room! they had to split the 100 baht tip. Breakfast is very good for a westerner in thailand. We had food in the restaurant too and it was terrific, service was excellent too.

We were disappointed with our room, it seemed we had been put in the worst room. We were not able to open windows and the door locked with a padlock!

The building is beautiful, the staff is nice and the room is clean. The restaurant inside is quite cheap and good. The pool only gets a little sun so it’s quite cold but it’s nice and refreshing. They offer free shuttle to the bus station. Note that it’s not close to the ancient city but you can easily get there by bus. They rent bikes to be used in new town and offer Thai massages (quite expensive compared to outside but good).

The hotel was set in a quiet lane surrounded by a beautiful teak fence and large well established trees, which add to the tranquility of the hotel. The family that owners and runs the hotel has been there many generations and take great pride in providing the best experience and services for their customers. Song, the daughter of the owner is extremely helpful and speaks excellent English, which was very helpful in explaining the different historical parks and other interesting places to visit in the area. She works at their checkin desk and was there to greet us on our arrival. The restaurant is very quaint with trees growing through the roof, great ambiance, and the food was very good, Thai and western choices. They have a wonderful Saltwater pool in the middle of the hotel which was very refreshing after a day of exploring the historical parks in the region! Very nice and relaxing 3 day stay!

I liked everything about the place! Very tranquil and relaxing. In fact I extended my stay an extra day because it was such a nice place.

The Ruean Hotel is simply gorgeous. It is truly a unique hotel featuring beautiful, eclectic, Thai antiques throughout, creating a very warm and interesting atmosphere, surrounding a large pool. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a bathroom lined in beautiful marble. The restaurant and reception hall is equally welcoming offering a delicious breakfast in the morning and exquisite dinners in the evening. All the staff were always warm, welcoming and ready to assist with any queries. Highly recommended!

So much character and charm both the buildings and with all the beautiful furnishings. Here you will find the most incredible receptionist who will help you to decide what to see and do whilst you are in Nakhon Sawan & even book drivers, tours etc and her talent even extends to cooking breakfasts and a monk feeding ceremony. I really loved the pool and the outside areas. This is a family business and their love for the hotel, their guests and the environment shows from gift giving, driving me to historic attraction and to the bus station. As well as glass refillable water bottles. I wish to highly recommend the Ruean Thai Hotel. 10 out of 10!
