The hotel is in a beautiful old building with classic interior, it felt like staying in a castle. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff friendly. The location is perfect for people travelling by train, you can actually see the hotel tower from the train station. Also, the Odense old town is within a walking distance so it is easy to go to sightseeing. There are many shops and restaurants nearby.

The room didn't have airconditioning except for the bathroom so it was very warm in July. We opened the windows but the room cooled a bit only late in the night. The room had a fixed carpet. It is difficult to keep such a floor material clean and fresh. There wasn't anything else than a shower curtain to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom, so the entire bathroom floor was soaking wet after taking a shower.

The room, including the bathroom, was incredibly clean and large. We arrived 30 minutes before check-in time and were provided a room as it was available. The location is very convenient for walking around the centre. We came in a car and got free parking in the hotel parking lot. The staff was friendly and prompt. Although we were not able to use this service, the hotel provides snacks and beverages in the afternoon. Not all hotels provide that and I think this is a good service. The breakfast was simple but adequate. I am a vegetarian and had enough options for a hearty breakfast. (if vegan, gluten free or allergies, perhaps informing the hotel maybe useful?) Checking out was quick and upon request the hotel also refilled our water bottles with cold water for our journey back home. While checking out, I also noticed cold water with lemon and elderflower drink available for hotel guests in the lobby, a much needed respite on a warm summer day. I think these small details and thinking about the comfort of the guests makes me recommend this hotel.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and facing the road. It does not have any air conditioning, which is usually the case in European hotels. To cool the room, on a warm summer day, we had to open the window which meant we got noise from the road and train station. Maybe providing table fans during the warmer months, as an inexpensive option?

What a beautiful, charming hotel with wonderful staff and breakfast. There's no coffee or hot water kettle in the room, but there's 24hr free coffee and juices in the lobby which makes up for it. They also had a bowl of apples and oranges kept out. Breakfast was a generous and delicious spread of breads, meats, cheese, eggs, yogurt, crepes, fruit, and more. We looked forward to it every morning. We were very happy with our stay.

Beware that if your room number is in the 500s, no there's no 5th floor. We had to go up one floor, walk to the far end where there was a small staircase going down to a narrow hallway with a few #500 rooms. Our room had a view of the garbage dumpsters and that's it. We thought this was hilarious. We had to be in what was once the hidden away "servants' quarters." So just be warned, and maybe try to request a room with a view of the park.

Parking was easy though there are limited spots (I know there is alternative parking at about 16 Euro per night). The hotel is a nice period hotel. The breakfast is adequate. The rooms passable and the hotel very centrally located with lots of restaurants near by I've stayed a few times before and it will continue to make a great stop of between Jutland and Copenhagen for me.

The hotel and rooms are getting a bit tired.

A classic great breakfast with both bread and warm alternative dishes. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and panncakes. Cheese, ham, salami and vegeteables. Youghurt, fruitsalad and minidonuts. Coffe, juice and other alternatives. Overall a great breakfast in my taste. Free parking if avaliable. We got a great spot and i was very surpised it was free. Odense i such a clean city where they have managed to mix old and new architecture perfect. Excellent variety of restauratns and pubs. Just loved our stay.

We got a nice spacious room with two separate beds as wished for, and everything was very clean and tidy. The evening meal was very good, and we enjoyed that we could have a relatively late dinner on the day of our arrival. I also liked that we could opt for not having the room cleaned and towels and bedclothes removed during our 2 nights - removing towels and bedclothes after just one usage is really bad for the environment, and under normal circumstances not necessary. The idea that we had to put the "fejebakke" outside the door if we needed the cleaning and change of sheets etc is very good. And I liked the old elevator - this is really a historic piece - and then finely supplemented by a more modern and bigger elevator. But the old elevator gives a good feeling for the history of this nicely renovated old hotel.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. The scrambled eggs did not really taste of eggs, they were sweet and not so appealing. And I missed morning rolls (danske rundstykker) - the sliced bread was fine, but I missed the crust of a real morning roll.

A nice spacious room and bathroom , good location, good breakfast, friendly staff, free parking ( if you are like to snap a place on the hotel parking.

No air conditioning, so when you open the window , the nearby train station can spoil your night tranquility. The shower os not closed so the floor always stays wet, no hooks for towels near the shower. All in all it's a very good option.

Location: very convenient, near bus train station and a short walk to the center. The bathroom is huge. Breakfast is also good.

We paid by a credit card outside EU and were charged extra fee on using the card! If we had known about this, we could have paid by cash. I would recommend the hotel to put a note informing guests at the reception counter in English not in Danish cause we could not understand and wondered why the payment is more than a confirmation rate!

+ fantastic location, just next to the train station and very close to the attractions + Clean and comfortable room, good size, well equipped although a few more bathroom amenities would be nice. + Free snacks and coffee and tea, as in all the hotels of this group +/- Ok-ish breakfast not great, not terrible
