It was close to the station and the city centre. The Reception Team were very helpful, and all staff we met were friendly. The breakfast offer was interesting and included hot and cold options, which were replenished regularly. They offered free tea and coffee throughout the day by a machine next to the Breakfast Room. Not only was their a small guest lounge, but there was a reading and games room in the basement and a roof terrace. In addition, there were tables and seating on the floors. The Hotel had a small number of cycles to hire, which were well maintained.

The games room had a free to use Pool Table, but it most probably could do with a refurbishment.

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and patient and helped everyone to the max. Great location. Not far from Hans Christian Andersen museum and house, which is a must see if you go. Also not far from restairahts and shops etc. Odense is absolutely beautiful, and I wish we could have stayed more than one night. The bed was comfy. The room was quite quirky, both modern but also kitsch, which we absolutely loved. Free tea and coffee machine in communal areas with plenty of choice. Tasty breakfast, with plenty of choice. I would define use this place again if I were lucky enough to return. The temperature in the room was ok, once we'd figured out the window. It was generally good all round, as you can walk around in short sleeves. The guy thought I was complaining about lack of ventilation when I said it was well-insulated but I reassured him that it was great for the time of year.

The room was briefly a bit hot and it took us a while to realise we could open the window just a crack rather than really wide! The bathroom had no ventilation. These things could be a problem in summer or for longer stays. The room was quite small. No conditioner.

City Hotel Nattergalen is a charming spot nestled in a prime location in Odense, perfect for discovering the city's vibrant attractions. While the parking situation was a bit tight, it was certainly manageable. The real highlight of our stay was the exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to introduce us to Odense's touristy spots and suggested some fun local bars to visit in the evening. It's evident that they truly care about their family-owned hotel and take pride in their city. This personal touch made our stay memorable and engaging. If you're visiting Odense, City Hotel Nattergalen is a delightful choice for a warm and welcoming experience.

Really nice terrace, very friendly and helpful staff. A little bit older building, but very clean, well kept, and cosy. There were nice touches throughout, like a well stocked set of possible necessities, free tea and coffee, and a nice and well stocked breakfast. The location was quiet but central, at an easy walking distance from all the main hotels and the train station.

The rooms were pretty warm (though there was a fan available), and there was not much in the way of vegan options with breakfast (at least oat milk for coffees would have been a nice touch).

My stay here is a lot better than my hotel in Copenhagen. It is a bang for the buck. Its location is superb as it is an 8 to 15-minute walk from the Odense Central Station. It is near and just a walking distance from the attractions in Odense like the Museum Odense and Hans Christian Andersen's childhood home. It is affordable, yet it gives you an exceptional stay. The room is larger than other hotels. It has complete furniture like an open closet with lots of hangers and a shoe and a bag area, a study table with a chair and lampshades, and a rocking chair to relax. The size of the double bed is big and there are a lot of pillows. The comforter and the duvet cover are very comfortable. The toilet is clean and complete with toiletries and a hair dryer. Overall, the room is clean and very aesthetic. I also like the breakfast. It has a variety of food to choose from.

Very close to city center attractions. Great for one night stay. Beds were surprisingly comfortable! Staff were friendly and helpful. Free coffee and tea was a nice touch! Useful to have parking onsite, but spaces are narrow and limited.

Rooms were cramped with no AC. European duvets are too warm for sleeping without some way to cool the room down. No screens on windows so opening windows didn’t seem like a good option with mosquitos outside. Breakfast was okay.

The facility has very high value for money, considering the local price level. The staffs are nice and the breakfast is delicious. There's a parking lot, but I didn't drive there. The room was relatively quiet.

It's about 8-10 min walk from the Train Station. It would be a little bit not convenient, if you travel with a suit case. And it located at the outer ring of the city. You don't have much choice for meals nearby, but have to walk to the center of city.

The hotel is perfectly located, 8 min walk from the station, 8 min walk from the city center. The staff is very nice and welcoming, they showed me a map with stuff to do in the city and my room was even ready a bit early. Coffee and tea is free whenever you want. The room was Cosy and clean. It's silent. The breakfast is good and there's variety of choices. There was conditionner in the shower.

I would have liked soap in the shower (only shampoo and conditioner)

My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel and loved it. The hotel was centrally located. Our room was small but sufficed our needs. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was limited but affordable. Breakfast was simple but good. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and Cafés. The layout of the hotel was awesome. Near the reception area is a room, where one can sit alone or with a group, to relax, enjoy a drink, or for a small talk. You can buy tap or bottled beer, as well as snacks, at the reception desk. On the upper floor, are tables where one can work. There are also some chairs for reading or relaxing. Friendly and professional staff! We enjoyed a nice evening walk after dinner. There is plenty to see and do in Odense. It is also shoppers paradise. For tea lovers, I highly recommend the tea store in town.

Parking was limited and challenging to navigate for those driving big cars. Across the street is a private and more expensive parking.

Of all the hotels I've stayed at during a two week trip in Europe, the friendly, helpful and warm staff here were remarkable, and really stood out. I'd thoroughly recommend staying staying at the Nattergalen. The staff member who checked me in was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about Odense and the local area. The next day, another staff member was extremely helpful in assisting me with hiring a bike from the hotel, and getting everything set up for a local trip of around 60km. The buffet breakfast was excellent. A wonderful range of good quality breads, scrambled eggs, cereals, fruit and tea and coffee. The hotel is an easy 6-8 min walk from the central train station, so very convenient in that regard, and also very convenient for walking into and around central Odense.

There was some traffic noise from the street outside the hotel at night, but it settled down fairly quickly and I had a good night's sleep.
