Great location just off the motorway so easily accessible, nice sized rooms with a very comfortable bed. Toiletries are provided white company so good quality. Mattress was nice and soft. Spa pool and steam room are lovely.

Im vegan which was stated on booking but the bedding is goose down. The restaurant is rather over priced it was nice food but jothing exceptional and it comes with an exceptional price tag. Jacuzzi is very underpowered and luke warm and as a couples trip I want to sit and chat to my partner in the sauna but it was in the changing room so single gender. I don't think it would be that difficult to rearrange doors so that couples or mixed gender friends could sit and chat when using facilities rather than be in separate rooms. Breakfast was a slightly odd process. I'm used to buffet style ordering a starter and a cooked breakfast with no sight of quantities was difficult to judge how much I'd want.

The breakfast was very good. Liked the table service for the main course.

Booking.com customers had to pay £15 per person for a 48hour pass to the pool facilities. The menu for evening meals was quite limited.

Clean, tastefully decorated and very spacious rooms! The extra large bed was amazing and very comfortable! It was great to have a choice of pillows and the service we received was outstanding on all levels. The breakfast was amazing with a good choice of food. We were on a bed and breakfast basis but ate in the restaurant for dinner and I could not fault the service nor the food! Best meal I’ve had in any hotel and I have stayed in a number of hotels. The hotel is perfectly situated just off the motorway and with it being such close proximity to the motorway I expected some traffic noise but there was none whatsoever. The spa facilities were fantastic and well worth paying the extra cost of £15 per person for the entire break! Loved the fact that there is unlimited milk and fresh water from the units in the corridor!

Was a little disappointed that our bed was not made for us in the morning despite the fact our do not disturb sign was not on the door and receiving fresh towels and a top up of coffee and biscuits but it wouldn’t deter me from staying here again as that was just a slight niggle!

I had two evening meals and both were really lovely, I recommend the specials menu. The breakfast was a buffet but it was nice and plenty of tea, coffee and toast. Bed was comfortable, fridge in the room with milk and water was a nice touch. Loads of parking. Short walk from Penrith town centre and the Penrith castle. Has a lift which is good for adults with walking difficulties. The staff were polite and friendly. The waiting staff remembered us even though our booking was a week apart.

I don't have anything negative to say. Being hyper critical the receptionist didn't tell us the water and milk was at the end of each corridor but their is a sign in the room I just missed it (not sure that is the staffs fault).

Lovely hotel with a modern and old twist to it. Comfy beds. Nice little touches with robes free of charge and a sleep spray with mask. Milk is provided through help yourself machine and also water. The room was very warm however they had the windows open and provided a fan. The TV was a great size. Beautiful scented bathroom amenities. The pictures online don't do this hotel justice. It looks so much nicer in person. The location is perfect with Penrith centre just 5 minutes in a car and down the road a retail park with aldi, Iceland, homebargains and Macdonals. I would stay again.

We had problems with the toilet not flushing and even though it was promptly attended to we still had an issue with it after not fully flushing. We were only staying 1 night so just reported it again. Also the carpark lights came on too long after it had gone dark and I had to put on full beam to see the carpark and was a challenge to park up.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, large room, comfortable bed, great bath and shower, generous hospitality tray. Lovely touch - they give you a little milk urn in your room, and you fill from a fresh milk dispenser in the corridor. They also have a filtered water dispenser on each floor. We didn't use the spa facilities this time. The restaurant is large but broken up into smaller areas. Huge open fire where chef doing BBQ and grills. Delicious food, well priced. The hotel is very close to Penrith which is a charming town. Many beautiful gardens to visit close by, as well as the northern lakes. Excellent location.

For us, everything was perfect.

The family room is a great size. The girls loved their robes, cookies, very nice touch. The weather was a quite hot and a member of staff brought an extra fan which helped immensely. Again really positive experience with house keeping and reception team

The lady on restaurant specifically seemed out out when I raised a couple of issues. First there were so many flies I actually killed one in my salmon. Showed it to her and she was dismissive. Secondly at lunch , I mentioned I had been over charged over breakfast earlier ( acknowledged with the gentleman on duty). She didn’t check the amount with me or circumstance. I only found out £1.09 was refunded to me as I checked out. It was only after talking to the lady at reception the correct amount of £26 was refunded. The restaurant service was disappointing

I booked a family room, with bunk beds.. It was clean and spacious.. Fridge with fresh milk available at all times.. Welcome cookies for the children when we arrived is a nice little touch.. The children get their own dressing gowns and slippers which they all found entertaining.. This is my second stay at the North Lakes Hotel and Spa with my grandchildren.. Lovely hotel.. Excellent location.. We travelled to Keswick, Martindale and Lowther castle within half hour from the hotel.. Highly recommend for any family wanting to explore the Lake District.

Check in was slow... Not helpful when you're travelling with children and have paid in advance.. However, the gentleman who eventually checked us in was very apologetic.. Other than this, everything else about our stay was superb.

Room was too small but adequate and, luckily, overlooked the gardens rather than the car park. No traffic noise from the two busy roads was an unexpected bonus. Food and staff all excellent and very friendly.

Having to pay £30 for two people to use the pool for the weekend. This was because we made the booking through Booking.com, they told us - not impressed with that. I used yourselves because an attempt to book directly showed no room available. We felt compelled to visit an extremely busy pool twice have paid that £30 when I would have rather avoided it when I saw how many noisy people (kids AND adults) there were!

The overall 'feel' and decor of the hotel was lovely, was very clearly looked after and clean. The swimming pool and facilities were brilliant. The bed was fantastic. The location was ideal just off the main road, however there was no noise from traffic inside the hotel so you wouldn't know you were right next to a busy roundabout. The food on the evening was phenomenal, really was the highlight for us both. The outside of the hotel doesn't do it justice, it really is a case of 'don't judge a book' because inside we loved it!

The jacuzzi wasn't on when we used the spa facilities on the evening on arrival, but was on the next morning, so perhaps we timed it poorly, but would have been nice if we could have used the jacuzzi. The wait for the food was a little on the long side, but when it did arrive we were blown away and it was worth the wait.
