Breakfast and meals in general were great

Most staff do not speak any English and we spoke very little Spanish so communication could be difficult. The staff were excellent though and we laughed a lot. On our arrival night in Bolivia we were asked to pay in cash in USD rather than by credit or debit card which caused a lot of issues for the rest of the trip. I don’t mind paying cash as long as I know in advance. Overall it was a great hotel, just a few niggles that need ironing out

This hotel is perfect for my 3 am arrival into Santa Cruz by plane. It is very very close to the airport, so I was able to get some rest and then the next morning enjoy the nice large hotel room and balcony, breakfast and beautiful pool and grounds. I would recommend this highly either coming in and out of the city for a trip.

Nothing at all I didn't like - the staff was friendly. I will say that it is not close to much in Santa Cruz because it is near the airport, but that is ok! Santa Cruz is busy so it is nice to be on the outside of the city where it is very quite.

I have to say that after enduring some of the not-so-great hotels we stayed in Bolivia in for 2 weeks, this was the highlight of our final two nights in Bolivia. This hotel is TOP NOTCH!, the staff is very accommodating serving your every need, and the room was exceptionally clean with all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, we enjoyed the pool, then a dip in the Jacuzzi as well as the dry sauna afterward. Also, the food at the restaurant was amazing!! and the service was perfect. I can't think of any more accolades for the Sun Hotel, all I can say is that I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler to Santa Cruz Bolivia, I will go back in a few months but this time for business. Everything was perfect!

The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice, the rooms are very quiet, clean and spacious. The food from the restaurant was excellent.

The jacuzzi was not very warm and the steam room not very clean or hot enough

hotel proximity to airport is definitely a plus, pool was clean but did not have any attendants providing towels or service. Room was clean, AC worked fine, bathroom had hot water but bathtub had mold in on the edges, needs caulk.

The location near the airport, free shuttle to the airport, the rooms overlook the pool.

Noises, you can hear everything inside the hotel and outside near the pool whether an empty bottle rolls due to the air, or someone walking or talking.

Close to airport, free pickup and drop off. Large room, good shower. Nice breakfast.

Guests at pool were a bit loud, late at night. So maybe ask for a room not overlooking the pool if you want some sleep.

Sun Hotel was very clean, with comfortable beds, and a yummy breakfast. It was nice and close to the airport. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We were very happy with our stay.

Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was excellent and offered a diversity of choices. The waiter offered me an omelette. The location close to the airport was just what I needed. I appreciated the shuttle back to the airport. The receptionist allowed me to borrow an adapter for my phone charger. Very good price for the night’s stay. Thank you all!

A framed piece of artwork about the natural beauty of Panama would help to make the room feel more warm and inviting.

I had a late flight and they let me check out later. The swimming pool was so beautiful, I wish I could have swum more there.

It could have been cheaper but it was 5 star
