It was my first time in India, and choosing the Taj was the best decision I could’ve made. The team made me feel cared for from the first moment—I even asked when to return to see the mountains green, as in May they matched the golden Ganga! As a solo traveler, I was touched by the thoughtful precautions—calls screened by reception, safety tips about monkeys, and a direct contact from security (thank you, Himanshee!). My villa was perfectly placed between yoga and reception, with a stunning Ganges view. Pawan and his team kept it pristine, adding lovely local spa treats and always stocking my favorite tea. Morning tea on the balcony became a cherished ritual. Hi-tea with Helmata-ji was a daily delight—black tea with ginger and cardamom, always divine. I also loved discovering the espresso machine, sipping a cappuccino by Bhagwat while gazing at the Himalayas—pure magic. Staying longer, the Rock Flour team quickly tuned in to my tastes. Special thanks to Dipak Kumar Singh for crafting fresh, healthy off-menu dishes that truly pampered my palate. Everyone’s kindness and smiles made me feel right at home. I came for “me-time,” and the daily yoga, meditation, and sound healing—plus private sessions—were everything I hoped for. Shivani, your guidance turned my stay into a true retreat. You are both a gifted teacher and now, a friend. For adventure, Jitendra’s team offered great experiences. Trekking with Ajay, a passionate mountaineer, was a highlight—sharing local lore, spotting wildlife, and guiding me to a village temple, even across the river by inflatable boat! All in all the stay at Taj Rishikesh was exceptional!

There are just a few things, I wish could be added to this wonderful property: + please do include in the restaurant bill the option to add tips for the fantastic service (same way as you have it in the spa) + if possible, organize an initiative to clean the trekking path (gladly also involve the guests, if they wish to participate into a “giving back” to nature activity) + add at the check-out the opportunity to donate money to the beautiful projects Taj supports in the local villages. Please take these, only as a wish from a grateful guest, and implement only if you consider feasible.

Excellent location, very well maintained with fabulous, courteous and helpful staff. Special mention of room cleaning lady Monica who not only did her job meticulously but also gave us wonderful tips for a better experience in and around the area. We enjoyed thoroughly. Well even monkeys are well behaved 😄.. they entered our room but like good boys only took away our sugar satchet and milk satchet.. ate the fruits diligently, and the biscuits. Did not touch anything else .. lol !! It was fun . Mistake was on our side as we had kept the balcony door open . Should have been careful. Had a wonderful stay and came back with lovely memories.

The stairs to the river ganges needs to be a little more better with side railings till the end . Its risky.

The best peaceful and calm place with the best service, staff and breathtaking view where you forget about everything! And if you want to spend time quietly on the beach with cleanest Ganga- this is the best place to do it! This was so nice that every evening housekeeping brought fresh masks for the face made out of natural ingredients! There is a shop in the hotel with such beautiful dressed, clothes, jewellery! I really want to thank Ram at the reception as he assisted me with all my requests being very attentive!

The only disadvantage is that you don’t want to go explore the city because it is so perfect in the hotel!

The staff were exceptionally helpful. We loved our stay at the Taj. We had booked 3 rooms and wanted a quiet family getaway. And Taj made it special. The rooms, the views, the activities, and the food were all upto the Taj standards. And the variety was vast. Thank you Taj.

The Taj is self-contained with all activities within its premises. River rafting, trekking expeditions, childrens activities, Ganga Aarathi were all possible. But the road to the town of Rishikesh often chokes up, and we can have delays of over 1 to 2 hours... We limited our visits to the town.

Rooms, the view, the food all were excellent. For 1 day we stayed in the Junior Suite Room No. 208 which had a different vibe altogether and the next 2 days we stayed in Room No. 702 which had a close view of River Ganga. Over and above the staff was very warm and welcoming. The hospitality of Taj is truly seen in this property. We will comeback again and again here to experience the tranquility.

Nothing, everything was above par.

The location was exceptional and breath taking. I loved the complimentary yoga classes, sulata from spa who was exceptional with the deep muscular massage. The Manager Hitesh and the staff were superb, making my stay heavenly and not to forget the housekeeping with their special organic scrubs for the night.

There could have been a better variety of salads in the menu by making simple additions such as taboule

Staff is well trained. The property has been thoughtfully designed and built. Being next to Gangaji is priceless! Its kept in great shape by attentive staff members. Food quality is also excellent.

It should not be described as "Rishikesh" as it is a good hour plus from Rishikesh

What a location....I stayed with my family and booked Jr King Size Room. Whoa...what a spacious room with balcony. I can see Ganges right from my room balcony. Taj Rishikesh is located 35 KMs from Rishikesh city towards Badrinath Road. Road condition is very good. No question about rest staff and cleanliness. They have 2 main restaurants. One is multi cuisine which is right near the reception area and another one is little far but opens on lunch & dinner time only which is specialised cuisine. There is facility of Salon, Spa as well in case some one wants to go for. I found the main attraction is river Ganga....resort is located right on the bank of river Ganga. I'll upload photos as well. You need to take quite a few steps to reach the beach which is white sand beach. I checked in around 3, had lunch then took some rest and went to beach around 6....and my my my...what a pleasant feeling I had....sat on beach and had my foot soaked into cold water of Ganga. I sat there for almost an hour there listening sound of flowing Ganga river. Under water current was high at that time due to heavy rain at Badrinath. So resort guest was not allowed to go deep into river. You can take holy dip near the bank but not far from bank. Resort provides facility of electric cart for pickup and drop. Nobody is allowed to visit river bank after sunset fear of wind animals. Next Day: Breakfast is amazing....they have everything you need to satisfy your appetite and its buffet serve. Apart from breakfast, they don't serve buffet. We ordered Gadhwali Thali at Dinner and asked them to make it littler more spicier. Most of the food they serve is not marinated considering their international guests but if you ask specifically then they'll make it as per your requirement.

Property is beautifully located. Lush landscaping and gorgeous interiors. Excellent F&B staff, possibly the best I have experienced in India. Special mention for Akshay the bartender at the Riverside Cafe..... Food was excellent at every resteraunt. The yoga and meditation and other wellness sessions were outstanding.

Front office staff is not equipped to handle experienced travellers. Checkout was a very poor experience. The Spa room where I had a 60 min massage was dirty.

Stunning location, excellent food, highly skilled staff at Jiva Spa. Our grateful thanks to you all - Mr. Karan, Mr. Virendra, and Mr. Rajesh who made our stay comfortable, and memorable in all ways. Best in class for hospitality, superb cuisine, and comfort. The Taj Hotels are superb! Chef Himanshu serves gastronomic delights, and the gracious, efficient Ms. Singh!
