Beautiful views from the room. Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Host was helpful and communicative. Although no breakfast available, the pantry was stocked with snacks/tea/coffee/etc.

A bit of a trek to reach unless you can convince a taxi to drop you at the school (the road is very narrow and some won't do it). I came on a Sunday and it took forever to mob through the packed old street with my luggage in tow. Do not recommend that... The only other minor thing was that the building seemed to have a strange old smell that lingered on all my clothing after I left.

Love the good view, lovely place, lots of amenities, and helpful staff who helped us with our luggage and arranging our taxi back to Taipei. It’s a very serene haven after the bustle of tourists in Jiufen Old Street. We appreciated the pastries and beverages provided just outside our door. Others have commented that breakfast was measly, but the breads were filling and you can easily buy additional food from the 7-11 at the bottom of Jiufen Old Street.

It’s difficult to get to with luggages and the steps going to the place are uneven. Though that would be the same for other places in Jiufen Old Street. And to me, it’s part of the charm staying in the place. I wouldn’t recommend bringing bigger than cabin luggage though.

The view from the room was superb. The location was not easy to find, but they had friendly staff who would tell you where to drop off if taking cab / public transport. The staff Xiao Yan made the effort to come and fetch me from the suggested drop off location and helped me with my luggage. After reaching the place, she patiently explained about the facilities and asked me to text her should there be any issues. Additionally, she also offered to help us book a cab for check out due to the location. The cab fare was slightly higher but it was convenient for us. During the check out, Xiao Yan assigned someone to bring us to the cab location and helped us with the luggage as well.

The bed was too soft for us and it would be nice if they could provide the facial masks according to the number of guests.

There are 2 buildings (Easy and Easy 2). We stayed in the original Easy. The location is fantastic. It is on the same level as the main walking street; but tucked away in a quiet location. The staff is amazing. We communicated through WhatsApp. They are very responsive and super helpful. The suite and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. And the view is amazing! Note that Easy 2 is located on the upper street and has a better sunset view. However, this means more stairs to take from this building. There are lots of stairs in this town! There is plenty of snacks and packaged pastries in the room and in the small hallway. Coffee, tea, juice and water are also available. Snacks and drinks are free except for the cold beer.

Minimal closet, dresser, and luggage rack. We arrived with 2 carry on suitcases and had a difficult time finding space to layout both suitcases. It is best to bring a duffle bag and lock up your larger suitcases in the locker at the train station. Keep in mind this town is very very hilly with lots of stairs.

The view of the property was absolutely stunning. The communication was great between us and what seemed like the owner. The bath was one of the most exquisite baths I have ever taken in my life. There were so many snacks in the room and the coffee maker was really unique and made excellent coffee. I really just can’t say enough good things about this place.

I’m racking my brain, but I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. One big disclaimer is if you cannot carry your bags down 50 stairs, you should not stay here. The owner/manager met us at the car and carried one of our bags.

this was such an AWESOME hospitable stay in Jiufen. the staff really care for you and the room is superbly clean and so comfortable, the hotel gives you everything to be prepared for your stay given you're in Jiufen itself. they gave you lots of water, breakfast in advance, ponchos, etc. fantastic view from our room.. location is at the end of Jiufen old street, superbly convenient to retreat to when you get tired of the crowds. they even have a cocktail bar at the street level. we loved our stay and would 100% recommend this 民宿

absolutely nothing. if you're looking for a stay in Jiufen, this is superb value for money (you can then stay a night in Jiufen to enjoy the night lantern scene that looks like spirited away as well)

The whole vibe of the hotel was great, amenities provided was better than expected (complimentary mini bar selection of crackers, snacks and bread and also free masks and bath bombs) which was a first time a stay has ever provided. The view was also something to be commended with unobstructed vision looking out to sea. The host was very helpful and have kept constant contact with me via WhatsApp prior to the stay all the way till the end of trip.

Location - can't be helped much since it's located out of the main town, be advised to travel light if possible as Jiufen old street has human traffic and uneven pavements (+ rainy weather)

* Location was perfect - located right in the streets of Jiufen, but felt private and tucked away. * Incredible views of the ocean and nearby mountains, from the bedroom, bathroom, and patio * Comfortable and cozy dining/living area that is nice to work from * Staff was really friendly and proactive in giving us information - they messaged us days before our arrival to share information about getting there and to prepare for check-in. They also helped carry our luggage and checked in to see if we needed anything during our stay. * Bathroom was clean and spacious. The free-standing tub is relaxing and has a great view of the mountains (and I like the amenities they provide, like the face wash, face mask, and the bath bombs!). * The suite came with a lot of snacks, pastries, and drinks (e.g., coffee, milk tea). * The bar above (operated by this inn) serves great drinks and also has beautiful views.

* This was not a huge issue, but sometimes the WiFi was spotty or would disconnect, which can make remotely working challenging.

Once the fog cleared up, the view was beautiful! Staff were nice and helpful. Lots of free snacks and the location was perfect as the front door opens up right to Jiufen old street and just a short walk from the tea houses. The bathroom was nice and modern with all amenities, including a bidet with heated seat, face wash and even a face mask, which was thoughtful. The hotel even put a heat pad in our room.

Not recommended for those with accessibility issues as you will need to go up and down some stairs. Bathroom could use more hooks for hanging towels.

The stunning views in the suite are incredible. Although there is no breakfast, they have an area with coffee machine and plenty of snacks and we did not miss the breakfast. The location is perfect at the end of the old street and it is easier to navigate. It is difficult with luggage but we stayed two nights so it wasn’t a problem at all. There is a bar on top of the apartment called “golden bar” - they give you a small discount with the hotel and the cocktails are amazing! We had a pineapple cake cocktail and it really tasted like the cake!

Everything was incredible! It is a bit pricey in comparison to other places and to other rooms but it is the most beautiful room in the whole jiufen !
