A lot of things to love about this place: - Friendly staff who can speak English - A convenient location, situated near the end of Jiufen Old Street - A large private room with nice ammenities - Soundproof walls, and a customizable A/C unit - Flexible check-in/check-out times - Incredible value, $35 is a steal for what you get They also prepared my room several hours early, which was extremely welcoming and greatly appreciated

The lobby had some bugs and spiders crawling around. I was also unable to find where Breakfast was held, and there were no staff in the morning to show me the way (they explained it the prior night, but it still was unclear)

Rustic place but very clean and cozy. It is located at the end of Jiufen so it is easy to mobilise in the old street and a great way to experience the locals' day-to-day. A simple breakfast of bread, yogurt and salad is provided and we all loved it!

Because it is at the end of Jiufen, you need a 15-minute walk through the old street so travel light or risk dragging the luggage through the crowd like what we did 😅. The good thing is, there's no stairs otherwise it would have been worse.

This place is incredible for the price! The location is perfect, just outside of the Main Street to be at peace, but 2 min walk to get to it. There are also walking tracks starting from there. The owners have taken a great care designing the place and there is a lots of little attention everywhere. The breakfast is delicious and healthy and in a very dreamy place. Staying in Jiufen is a great way to see the village before and after the big tours are there. You can see people crafting and preparing traditional food everywhere. I couldn’t leave, I enjoyed my stay so much!

Can’t say anything since I change plans on the last minute. But they gave me a good impression on the customer service, they contacted me a day before the check in and I felt a positive energy on their end.

I guess provide updated pictures of the property to let guests know what to expect. But no bad comments from my end.

I had the pleasure of being able to stay in both in the Studio and the Treehouse. Both are very spacious, and I can see the Treehouse easily host a party of four. I loved the studio for the many windows and the view, bonus was the breakfast with kittens sleeping in the plants outside.

AC was a bit loud in the studio, maybe instructions of settings could have helped

The ensuite is worth every penny. If you are willing to stay in a mid budget room, and without having to share the ammenities with anybody else, it's the ideal place to be. It felt like living in an upstairs attic all by myself :)

My only qualm and suggestion is for the owners to get a newer dehumidifier. I had to unplug the one that was in my room because it was making way too much noise. It is a very small thing compared to the position and the value of the price

The staff was friendly and willing to help for carrying luggage for us (seniors couple) down and up stairs. The warmest part was the female staff ( forgot asking her name) walking us out during a heavy raining day straight to the bus stop.

The house didn't have big space for passing through.

The staff was very friendly and lent me two chargers for my phone. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. It was also very homey and had a great vibe about it.

The only thing I can think of is that it might be nice to have a pull down blind over the bathroom door because it is made of glass

Loved the location, it is a very unique village and peaceful at night with beautiful views. There are a few ways to get to the guesthouse, if you take the bus to the 7-eleven you can walk right across the village without any stairs. The staff was super friendly and provided a map. The breakfast was lovely and made with local produce. The double suite room was very unique, comfortable and spacious.

The room was very clean. Humidifier and air conditioning were strong. The shower trim and facet and toilet seemed pretty new. The girl who did the check in was very nice. The breakfast venue was very nice, the breakfast was exceptional.

I found and killed 3-4 mosquitoes. An insect zapper or trap would be helpful. It's easy to accidentally lock yourself out.
