Take some walk and up hill climbing to get to the hotel. Solo travel is ok, but not very for people with kid or many luggage.

Modern, clean, spacious room. Utensils, facility, amenity well provided. Free parking offer. Easy check in. Close to Otaru shopping street.

You have to walk toward the steep slope - may not suitable for elder people.

The room is huge with great facilities that you can practically live there for months. The location is secluded on top of a hill of sort and within a residential area so if you like to experience how it is living in a local neighbourhood, it works out well. It’s also very quiet be it day or night so do keep your volume down and not trespass to other neighbour’s house as well. The hotel staff will be very firm in repeating that. The view for some rooms are great facing the sea. I booked two rooms and both have different views, mine is just facing the houses while the other is facing the sea. It’s beautiful. The modern design of the room gives me great desire to live in a house like that.

The washing machine dryer doesn’t dry all the way so do expect to hang dry overnight. But that’s not a big problem. The staff only work from 3pm to the evening so if you need help may not be able to get immediate assistance. Also the parking lots are first come first serve, we have to parked quite far away on our first night.

Location here was fantastic. From our room we could see the Letao Main Store and the Otaru Steam Clock. Carpark lot was assigned throughout our stay. There was oil and seasoning and coffee/tea provided near the registration counter area. Dishwashing liquid provided in the room. This place is good for exploring Otaru Canal.

Stove for cooking was very near to the beds. Chopsticks provided in the room look like disposable ones. We used the washing machine in our room for one load of laundry but decided to head to the laundry shop about 7 min walk nearby instead since it was faster and the instructions for the washing machine in the room weren't clear. Depending on where you enter from, it could be a steep climb when walking back to this place.

If you are coming by public transport, I would only recommend this place for Spring (no more ice), Summer and Autumn as it is only accessible via sloped roads and stairs. In winter, I only recommend this place of you have a car or your personal transport. Otherwise, it is dangerous to walk to and from this place as the roads are narrow, sloped and slippery due to hidden ice under the snow. Nice sea view from the upper levels. Balcony was awesome. The place is quite new and everything is top notch and working great. Bedsheets were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

If you are driving and you come late in winter, you have to park off-site which is a few hundred metres away by a narrow 1 lane road but it is dual way. So it can be difficult to maneuver your car if if come face to face with another car while entering or exiting the 2nd storey carpark. Snow is piled higher than my head and totally narrow. It was fun for my son who was driving and me.

Rooms are cleaned and there is a washing machine with dryer function and a bottle of clothes detergent in the unit. They even have cooking sauce, oil and condiments at the front desk. Most important is their helpful and friendly staffs at the front desk. Especially Mr Mikage san ( my apologies if I misspelled your name 🙏) he has limited English but tried hard with translation and was very helpful all the way. My stay was great and comfortable. Those without car will find it difficult to reach there by walking up the slopes dragging their luggages. But its very convenient to reach the music box museum and the shopping street. Good location 😄👍

Accommodation is facing the harbour and situated about 5 mins’ walk from the famous Sakaimachihondori Street, where there’s LeTao, Kitakaro, Otaru Music Box Museum, etc. There is also free parking for one car. Property came fully furnished with kitchen and utensils for home-cooked meals. You can also get some seasoning, coffee and tea from the reception.

There’s nothing much to do around the vicinity after 6pm as most shops along Sakaimachihondori Street close early. If you want to take a walk or do some shopping after dinner, you can either walk to Otaru Canal or Wing Bay Otaru Shopping Mall (closes at 8pm).

walking distance to the otaru canal where otaru's main attraction is. we reached slightly earlier and receptionist was available to check us in. if you need parking, do inform the hotel in advance so that designated parking spot can be reserved for you. we parked our car and walked to otaru canal for sightseeing & dinner. the stroll to and fro the hotel is pretty nice, some slopes but totally doable. free parking onsite. room is clean and spacious, well equipped with amenities, including a washer/dryer. will recommend!

The hotel was clean and well-equipped, with a pleasant balcony. However, the lack of staff responsiveness was a significant issue. While instructions were clear, the absence of a receptionist or anyone readily available to answer questions severely hampered our stay. Communication attempts via email and phone (using apps, as local lines were impractical for us as foreigners) went unanswered. This lack of communication and assistance detracts considerably from the otherwise positive aspects of the accommodation.

This apartment is a cost effective accommodation option in Otaru. Location is very good, just 5 minute walking distance from Otaru orgel museum. If you like walking, you can walk to Otaru canal and enjoy an approximately 30-minute stroll to there. The apartment looks like a newly built building, and everything in the apartment is shiny and clean. The owner is very kind and was eager to help us. The best part of the apartment to a traveler with a rental car, is that there is an ample parking lot in front of the apartment. When you check in, the owner assigns you a designated space. The surrounding is a typical residential area. So it is very quite.

In the kitchen, only basic kitchenware is provided.
