excellent quality of beds

the maitre 'd at the restaurant was incredibly unwelcoming. We were told we would have a table with a view of the St Lawrence. Although there was only 1 couple in the whole restaurant when we arrived she said all the table were 'full/reseved'. She didn't ask how long we might expect to be (it was only 5:30) and put us at a corner table with one of us with our back to the river. The sun soon was shining directly in the other person's eyes and she had to move her chair over. The maitre 'd came to the room twice but didn't check in. The wait staff kindly moved us to another table. This made us feel totally unwelcome and we'd never eat at La Griffe again!

The facilities are very nice. The room was clean. The beds comfortable. Everything worked well. The air conditioning works well. Love that they have a Starbucks right by the elevator and that it opens at 6am. The outdoor seating was nice and so was the view of the St Lawrence. They ordered a taxi which came right away. Late check in at midnight went without a hitch.

No microwave in the room and the one microwave near the main desk didn’t work. The staff helped us by getting a kettle so had an alternate way to heat up the noodles.

Standard room, nice walk-in shower, comfy bed. I ate in the bar and enjoyed the meal - lovely presentation, tasty, and great service. The prices were as one would expect for a hotel restaurant.

I was originally given a room at the very far end of the hotel with a tub, quite a distance from the pool and restaurants, which was disappointing. Upon seeing the room's location, however, I returned to the desk and asked for something closer to the amenities and I was moved to a room that I preferred, which I was very happy about.

Very nice room, nice pool and restaurants on site.

Very difficult to get into the shower. As we were leaving the property- and waiting to turn right on the street- the hotel van was In front of us without using a signal. To me- he wasn’t going anywhere. We proceeded to pass him and he started yelling at us. We told him he didn’t use his signal so we didn’t know if and where he was going. He said he didn’t need to use the signal and we should just wait. He was extremely rude and this ended our stay badly.

On our way back from Cape Breton to Montreal we split the long traveling and picked Rivière-du-Loup as second stop. The hotel is well located with a great view over the Saint-Lawrence river. It seems a popular spot for travelers. The check-in was quick, but I will not call it "smooth". The room was spacious and clean. The hotel has a restaurant, elegant but quite pricey and reservation is required. We served the breakfast (additional $ since not included in the stay); the breakfast was very good and tasty, but the portions are huge.

I would suggest to offer half portion options; this is often available in EU counties.

The room was clean and comfortable

was disappointed with an issue that I had fogot a bag with 2 winter pants and a pair of gloves in the closet in our room . We checked out around 11 a.m. The cleaning staff were already in our hallway when we left. I called the hotel on the day we checked out the 26th and asked if the cleaning staff had found my bag in the closet. The hotel said that they would check and call me right back.3 minutes later, I was told by the hotel sorry no bag was found. I will leave it at that!

The location was great across the street from St Lawrence river and a 5 minute drive to a street filled with restaurants and shops There was also a waterfall minutes away that was lovely Our French was minimal and the staff spoke English and also allowed me to try speaking French to them We had a glass of wine on the upper balcony and watched the sunset over the mountains and the river Spectacular We had breakfast in the restaurant and service was fast and the food was fantastic We didn’t use the facilities but there is a gym,pool and spa in the hotel

A nice 4 story mini hotel, with bar, restaurant, pool, spa etc. Parking is more motel style...get as close to your room as possible to carry in your luggage.

The bathroom smelled like urine soaked diapers. Not enough to make the effort to ask for a new room and move our stuff....but enough to notice all the time. I shut the door and left the fan running and there was no smell in the room...just the bath room. Dissapointing for an otherwise really nice hotel. I complained at check out and the clerk made a note for maintenance staff but offered no compensation.

Beautiful hotel that was central and easy to get to. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were nice and modern. It was nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby to stop at before we continued our road trip. The front desk staff were also friendly and helpful.

My only complaint it that it was a little loud. We stayed on the first floor and you could really hear the footsteps overhead and slamming doors.

We stayed two nights in all. The rooms are very modern and clean. The beds are excellent. We loved the shower, once we figured out how it worked. The location of the hotel is very convenient.

Their air conditioners are too noisy. They tend to keep you awake. I requested to be moved to another room upon discovering that the a/c unit in the first room was making weird noises. My request was attended to without delay. In the morning when checking out, the attendant was quite curt and looked to be hungover.
