Horizon 777 reminded me of quiet moments in the European mountains—sharing snacks with loved ones while overlooking calm waters. The motel is just steps from the ferry, tucked away in a peaceful, quiet spot that was exactly what I needed after the hustle of living and working in Toronto. Mornings were a treat: freshly baked croissants and muffins, plus yogurt, a variety of breads, juice, coffee, and all the classic breakfast options. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with a personal touch, Horizon 777 is a gem.

We had so much fun at Horizon 777. Best hotel in the place. It's taken care by the owner who adds touches of care and love in every corner or the hotel. There's the rosemary bushes in front of each room that give off a slight spa aroma. The view from the room's balcony is insane. In the morning there is handmade fresh croissants and rhubarb muffins. The rhubarb is picked from his extensive gardens. The breakfast also has fruit, juice, yogurt and excellent coffee and handmade cupcakes. I also asked for a fire on a dreary and gray day where the wood was wet. The owner worked hard for 30minutes so I could have a lovely fire. All in all a very clean and homey stay. Would return in a heartbeat.

An older building, but anything that matters has been updated inside. The owner clearly knows what guests value, as all the small things are done well. Body wash that actually lathers. A shower curtain that stays put and doesn't stick to you. Strong hooks in the bathroom for your towel and clothes. Clear instructions for the TV, etc. Super comfy bed, pillows, and bedding. Everything very clean. Homemade croissants in the morning (yep, homemade). Great views of the St. Lawrence. And an engaging owner with a great sense of humour.

A bit of a hike to walk to a restaurant, but only a 5 minute drive.

Convenient location near whale watching port and ferry terminal. Lovely view and clean, comfortable room. Refrigerator plus coffee maker in room.

Very Cramped breakfast room. Way too small to accommodate all the guests. No separate coffee station, so had to wait in long breakfast line just to get a “quick refill.” Poor breakfast room layout. Good coffee, but croissants disappointing.

A wonderful property perfect. Topography on the y to go whale watching from Quebec City. The owner is very proud of his property and keeps it in immaculate condition. The breakfast was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The view from the rooms was lovely and the garden area a beautiful place to relax. We would love to have stayed longer.

Nothing - everything was wonderful

Host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, the room was clean and well furnished. They have a yard with a couple games, fire-pit etc to relax outside. Easy to find and accessible on the main road. Driving distance of everything you need.

The room was a bit small, the hotel is not convenient for young children but they are aware of this. More suited for adults!

We chose the property purely based on its location between Saquenay and Quebec and time of day we needed to leave the former and arrive at the latter. We arrived tired and hungry at 7pm after a long day of kayaking in Saguenay and the proprietor's answer to our request for dinner suggestions (go to the grocery store for a baguette, some paté, and a bottle of wine and eat it on the balcony) was perfect. We enjoyed the proprietor's sense of humor and chit-chat over breakfast in the morning. He kindly also let us spread out our wet camping gear on the fence and lawn to drive so that we could properly repack it before continuing our journey into Quebec where wouldn't need it for several days.

Nothing.

In the backyard there is a firepit to enjoy at night with a glass of wine. Or have your breakfast there while looking out at the river. Nice breakfast, comfortable beds, enjoyable conversation in the morning with other guests travelling the area. We could not ask for more. Don't miss Port-au-Persil just a few km south... absolute gem of a stop!

Horizon 777 is a gem. Our host James is very friendly and helpful. He provided us with dishes and wine glasses for our room. We stayed for three days. Each morning we had delicious breakfasts. We loved the lovely clean rooms, comfy beds and the beautiful grounds with a view of the Saint Lawrence River.

We had a wonderful time at Horizon. The service was exceptional, the bed was cozy, and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, and there was a cute and friendly cat . The view was fantastic, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel.
