The room had enough space to move around. I liked having a coffee machine in the room, it was nice to make a quick coffee in the morning before heading out. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was new and clean. I loved having a parking spot right in front of my room door.

I didn’t like having carpet on the floor, it always leaves a certain smell in hotel or motel rooms, don't get me wrong : It was clean, but I can still recognize that distinctive scent. I liked having the air conditioner in the room, but it was really noisy considering the size of the space. That said, you eventually get used to it, and since the noise is constant, you can probably fall asleep to it after a while.

We have stayed here before and came back because of the value and the proximity of St. Hubert! As well, Motel Cartier has a fridge in the room and we were driving a long way with a cooler! The room was absolutely clean. The beds were comfortable. GREAT shower!

The bathroom tap dripped and the sink really needs to be replaced as it was cracked (but the bathtub & shower unit was quite new). It is a bit of a drive from off the TCH and it can be confusing but we just Google the location and listen to directions. After several occasions (we have stayed at other accommodations nearby) we have become accustomed to finding this part of the city now.

There wasn’t a breakfast, which wasn’t an issue for us. The location was perfect. Easy to get to from the highway. The rooms were quiet.

To get to our room from the parking lot, we had to get through an outside door which led us to a hallway where the door to our room was. The “card” would not work on the parking lot door. We had to go through the main entrance each time to get to the hallway. The travellers in the next room had the same difficulty. We could have used a microwave in the room. We had to ask the staff to heat our supper. I also didn’t like the envelope left on the room desk with expectation of a tip. I left what change I had on me, but the envelope seemed pushy.

Bathroom and bed were good. We slept well. Lovely view of grass and trees and sky from window. Only problem was a noisy air-conditioner (or something) next door. Otherwise quiet.

It was a bit startling that the reception desk was the front desk of the (extremely busy) St. Hubert restaurant attached to the Motel, but in spite of the noise, the receptionist was helpful and very polite. Getting the room key went smoothly.

An ordinary motel that at some point in the not to distant past realized it was dated and so refurbished all the rooms. They didn't tell me this but it's obvious from the decor and bathroom fixtures that they put some thought into refreshing the rooms. The rooms are clean, bright, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is quite modern, the shower is great.

One tiny criticism that I have for many places we stay, not just Motel Cartier. There is only a light on one side of the bed. THERE SHOULD BE A READING LIGHT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BED.

The location is great. It is near the highway. It has a St Hubert's chicken place attached to it. There is a Shell gasoline station nearby as well. In front there is a Normandin restaurant. It is close to Parc des Chutes park. Room is clean and looks updated. The check-in and check-out process were both easy.

It would be great if the room has a microwave but it is not really a deal breaker.

Great location right off TCH, restaurant on site

Hard to get curtains closed, being on main level that’s important, needs to put modern blinds or curtains that aren’t 30 years old! In room coffee, but no lids for cups snd only enough sugar/creamer for one person!

The location right off the highway was great. It was fast and easy to check in. Staff were polite. Our room was clean and clean quiet. The bed was super comfortable. Went for dinner at the chicken restaurant before bed.

I’m pregnant and the room was a bit hot for me and the air conditioning unit wasn’t quite doing it for me.

Large, comfortable bed and reasonable storage space. Connected directly to a St Hubert outlet which is open for lunch and dinner, accessible without leaving the motel building. For breakfast there is another good chain outlet across the street next to a gas station. Easy access to and from the Autoroute. Quiet in spite of the proximity to the autoroute. Parking for one vehicle, assigned to the room.

Room was nicely prepared. We liked the newer flooring (i.e. not carpet) as room is always more comfortable without the stuffy odours that carpeting can hold. You could see effort was recently made in updating the room (fresh paint, newer furnishings, newer bathroom). Clean- as outlined above. Pleased with bathroom especially. It was small but had all we needed. Bed- good, comfortable mattress.

The door could have had a stronger dead bolt. There was both a knob lock and a small separate lock on door but it wasn't strong at all and wouldn't have held up against much pressure.
