This hotel was beautiful, the room was really nice and spacious, and clean. The pool was nice but I was a little disappointed that the whole thing was only 4 feet deep and the slide was closed when we got there. Beds were comfortable.

No usb ports for charging, seems pretty common in other hotels I've been in recently to have them. Also, I appreciate that they were pet friendly but I couldn't find anything about the cost. It was a slap in the face to find out it was $35 per pet with a limit of 2 per room, after booking while en route. Especially after our last hotel stop was $30 flat.

Liked the location; room was clean and comfortable.

I was dissapointed with the customer service at the front desk. I didn't get her name. I arrived earlier than the 4pm check-in, the woman advised me my room wasn't ready yet. I was in the middle of asking her when it would be ready - the phone rang; she answered and continued to help the person on the phone as I stood there. Eventually I walked away as there was no attempt on her part to continue with me. Extremely rude and poor customer service. I came back at 4pm and it was new staff - thank God.

It is a lovely, clean place to stay, close to lots of places to eat and stores.

The only thing we can think of is, the pool was very very chlorinated, so much so our daughter had to get out it was making her cough and my eyes were burning just sitting watching them. Our room was lovely pretty sure it was the older side of the hotel, I say that because our shower was not that great, it didn't close off properly at the tap so the pressure was not great coming out the shower head. Other then that everything else was great.

Room was on the 5th floor - it was a good clean,good sized room.

I asked for a ground floor room unless I had elevator access,because although not using a wheelchair I have had my left knee replaced and stem cell injections to my right knee. I was given a room on the 5th floor- which did have elevator access. Also I ordered dinner on line for room service. Put in my credit card information and submitted my request. Apparently the restaurant did not receive it - where did my request and credit card information go?

My apologies, but I'm running out of positive adjectives to describe this property. It's always a pleasure to stop for the night @Universal hotel in Rivières-du-Loup, easily accessible no matter which direction you're arriving from. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds & pillows and easily accessible receptacles to charge one's electronic devices. There is sufficient parking for vehicles of many sizes; lots of EV-charging stations as well (can't elaborate on their functionality though, as I'm still an ICE driver).

The customer service at the time of booking was great. I have a service dog and I felt very welcomed before even arriving there. Checking in was the same. Great staff and customer service. The room was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and respectful towards me and my service dog. Unfortunately we arrived late so the restaurant and pool were closed. But they looked nice. We will definitely be back!

It would be nice to have a breakfast included option available.

We only stayed for one night, but the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was good and had decent selection. Check in was quick and easy and we were able to get an extra folding mattress for our kids. The room was relatively quiet, given how busy it was!

The pool was an absolute zoo. It says max number of people is 50 in the pool but I am sure no one was counting! The hotel is huge and was very busy the night we were there, so it was pretty hectic in the hallways and pool area.

Nice large room, very clean, well lit and quiet. Good location next to the bus station; ample parking available. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The food is excellent, but a bit pricey.

For a nightly fee of 290$CAN, the hotel should provide some amenities such as a pen, writing pad and paper tissues in the room itself, and body lotion in the bathroom. Water pressure in the faucet is very low; the shower works well. I don't like a heavy quilt, preferring sheet and blanket.

A large functional hotel with attached restaurant. Restaurant staff were excellent - reservation on arrival at the hotel is recommended - the dinner was great and served promptly despite them accommodating a coach tour party at the same time. Beds were enormous (we had two queen sized beds) and comfortable. Very clean throughout. It provided us with a comfortable, functional stopover for the night.

Room overlooking the car park. Loud motorcycles and noisy coach travellers embarking in the morning were heard - noise quietening measures could/should be improved. Reception staff were "sterile" and not especially welcoming but efficient. It's a long way out of the centre of the town so it wasn't possible to walk in and see the sights and explore without getting back in the car.

Great hotel for location, lots of onsite parking. Room was a bit small but had everything we needed. Accommodated our cat, was very clean. Ordered room service which was a bit of a task but when we got the food all was forgiven, it was incredible! Wish we had had the stamina for a meal in the restaurant, it looked very nice. Quiet room.

Room service could be easier? But your restaurant staff and the quality of the meal was absolutely one of the best meals on our trip. Hotel has a confusing layout. We got lost haha. Perhaps more signage or some help from the front desk reception would have been nice.
