Clean, large bedroom with two beds and full bathroom with large tub and separate shower. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed.

Silly to limit guests to one cup of coffee per person in the morning, knowing how inexpensive the pods are. There was a giant floor unit air conditioner right beside one of the beds and it was both in the way and very loud. The bathroom door was not marked as a bathroom, and it was stuck, so we were unsure where our bathroom was or whether it was even private, as it had access via the common hallway as well.

The room was nice. Lots of space and a gas fireplace that made it quite cheerful. The bathroom was huge with a spa tub and separate shower. The beds were comfortable. It's also located next door to a restaurant so excellent if you're traveling and want to get something to eat latish. We didn't meet staff directly, except in the restaurant. However, we talked to them after we left because we forgot a pair of glasses. They were super nice and helpful and shipped them to us. That was really fantastic. Would cheerfully stay again.

The one disappointment was we hadn't realized there was no breakfast available. The restaurant was nice and gave us some juice and coffee but still... However, we discovered a great boulangerie nearby as a result so it's all good:)

large room, very clean, comfy beds - and all amenities (a kitchen that can be used in the shared space), and a restaurant attached that serves absolutely delicious meals - bonus! they have super friendly staff, thanks, Étienne, we loved our stay!

Personally not a fan of basement rooms - but ours was bright and well-ventilated, so overall I highly recommend Auberge James.

The suite was super super comfy! It was homey and clean and inviting and relaxing. Sheets, linen, bed, pillows - just amazing.

We were right out on the main drag on Fraser Road, which wasn't ideal, but not bad at all. Also, our suite was in the "basement," with just basement windows, so not super-bright, but still fine. ANd the staff had minimal contact with us, very brisk, not rude but not very welcoming.

Huge bathtub! A choice of two queen size beds. Within walking distance of restaurants and a lovely park. Beautiful character house.

Mattresses were a little too soft for our preference. Room was on 2nd floor which made it difficult for us to bring in luggage (we are seniors). Parking was across a busy street.

Even though I did not use it, the restaurant as part of the facilities looks amazing. I loved the layout and the size of the room and the fireplace and tub. Kitchen is also fully stocked if I had wanted to heat up some food. It would have been great.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like. Parking was across the street but it was plentiful so no issues.

Lovely old house with interesting architecture and unique interior design. Very clean and everything thoughtfully prepared. Easy check-in despite no personal contact.

Very large room with two comfy beds. Convenient location off the highway after a long drive. Allows for our little dog to stay with us, too!

The sound system in the room wasn't hooked up and the propane fireplace didn't have instructions for turning it on. It was plenty warm in the room, however.

The auberge is quirky, authentic, a bit shabby chic, but very comfortable. It won’t be for everyone but we really enjoyed this visit. It was great to have access to a proper kitchen and the dining area for homemade breakfast. We also really enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the adjoining restaurant next door which in would recommend. The staff were very helpful.

It got a bit warm in the evening, and ventilation involves opening a window!

We checked in at the restaurant, which was quite busy when we arrived, but the staff was accommodating. There was no breakfast provided, as expected, but we had full use of a kitchen.

It was close to the road, so was a bit noisy, but we knew that, and brought our earplugs.
