Hotel looks quite old from the outside but the rooms have been recently renovated and are spacious are very nice. Onsen is gender separated and changes overnight (with view on Sakurajima and special "carbonated bath"). Food was outstanding: one of the best ever had! Overall highly satisfied.
Location is far from everything... but you have everything you need inside the hotel! No outside bath.

A quiet hotel in an excellent location. Professional staff. A superb onsen with a sea view. This is the kind of place you want to come back to. One of the best stays we had in Japan.

Spacious room and open bath, good Japanese meals
Only stayed one night. Seafront but don’t expect to find a promenade. Rooms overlook small ferry port and shopping mall. The hotel is located behind tsunami defenses and the small garden is poor. Externally the hotel was a little drab.
