Breakfast was the same every day: croissants, jams, baguette, cheese, camembert, and ham, a small bowl of fruit and yogurt + coffee and orange juice. We got crepes once. We stayed for 5 days, so it was okay, but if someone stays longer, they might miss some variety. It’s hard to imagine a better location because Reviers is situated exactly in the middle (at the level of Juno Beach) of various attractions. The closest is Courseulles-sur-Mer (Juno), where there are restaurants (5 minutes’ drive) and two large supermarkets (3 minutes’ drive). It’s an hour’s drive to Utah Beach and Étretat, and two hours to Mont Saint-Michel. Bayeux is half an hour away, as is Caen. The garden deserves a special mention – it’s pure magic! A huge garden full of blooming roses, palms, charming little corners with seating areas, and along it runs a lively stream, crossed by little bridges leading to the apartments. It’s clear the owners have an eye for beauty and detail. It’s also worth mentioning that you can rent either individual rooms or entire cottages. We stayed in one room; there were two rooms upstairs, and on the ground floor, there was a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots, a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, plus a dining area with a large table and a living room with sofas and a TV. There’s also a TV in the room. This setup is very practical for a larger group, for example 2+2 or 2+3, because then you have the whole cottage to yourselves with the option to cook, eat, and do laundry.

This is a charming property in the little village of Reviers. We stayed here for three nights while visiting all of the D-Day museums, beaches, and cemeteries. We also went to Bayeux to view the tapestry. All of these sites were within a comfortable driving distance from La Malposte. The owners, who live on site, were delightful and helpful. The building we stayed in was 400 years old, which we loved. There are gardens with a rushing stream crossing the property. We wished we would have had time to just hang out in the gardens, which had various tables, chairs, and benches scattered around. It would have been so relaxing to sit and enjoy the plants, flowers, and stream. All three mornings, Isabel prepared an amazing and delicious breakfast served in a charming room in our building. It was a lovely start to our days of sightseeing. Isabel and her husband, Michel, were gracious hosts. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but by using Google Translate, we were able to communicate effectively. I would definitely stay at La Malposte again if I ever were to return to Normandy.

A couple of times, we had no hot water in the bathroom. It did come back later and I don't know why there was a problem, but a cold shower wasn't desirable.

Absolutely Beautiful location, we loved every minute of our stay here. Our room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. A lovely Continental Breakfast was served in what appeared to have once been a Stable area, original features remained in this now extremely cosy and tastefully decorated room. The gardens of the property were stunning, a fast flowing little river ran through with cute little areas to sit at and soak in the peace & tranquility. The Hosts are very Welcoming and Friendly, treating us to a bottle of Normandy Cider which we opened at the quaint little seating area just outside our room. We can’t recommend here highly enough. The only reason we weren’t too sad about leaving was because we had already arranged to return in 2025. Our stay here felt like a Well-being Weekend.

We found Nothing to dislike at all !

Rooms very spacious and done beautifully. Breakfast was excellent plenty to choose from. Hosts were very welcoming and amazing I just wish I could have spoken French to have a conversation with them. The best thing listening to the water whilst going to sleep

WIFI a bit hit and miss. This is not a criticism but if you are not good on your feet it can be bit hazardous and difficult to negotiate

Wonderful location in a quiet village but close enough to a town to be convenient. Excellent for visiting the Normandy beaches and Bayeux. Quite simply a superb French breakfast. Wonderful ambiance and lovely service from the hosts. Quite possibly the nicest croissant and bread I have tasted.

We had a beautiful stay here, which was in a peaceful village, yet still quite close to the beach. The garden is exceptional and the house was clean, with everything we needed. The hosts were absolutely lovely, and we truly hope to return soon.
