My family room location was perfect. My senior Mom's room was outside the hotel. I wish I had asked to change because there were so many steps and she had trouble locking her room, the door handle had to be held up high and the key turned very hard to lock. She also had a panel missing in her bathroom, and pipes were exposed but we didn't bother mentioning it so I am sure it would have been fixed if we had. Really very minor inconveniences, we were very happy with the hotel and the location was perfect.

Breakfast was just ok; there was only eggs as the hot option, and we only chose to eat there one morning. I am not sure of the charge but it was not worth it.

The location was perfect for our purposes. It’s on the Main Street of the historic area within walking distance of the cathedral, the tapestry, and other historic sites. There are cute shops, coffe shops and restaurants near by, even in the off season. The staff was very helpful with arranging a tour of Omaha beach, the American cemetery. A shuttle to Mont St. Michel is also available. The train station is a 15-20 minute easy walk.

A perfect location in central Bayeux. Most shuttles or tours leave from parking lot behind the hotel. The train station is a 20-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has character that is lacking in many of the more modern hotels. Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. The Carrefour supermarket is practically next door. The separate heater in the bathroom is a nice touch. Very useful. The breakfast is good with a wide selection of foods available.

Nothing really. A small refrigerator in the room would have been nice.

The property is right in the middle of town, and we were able to walk to the various sights. We stayed in an attached cottage, and it worked perfectly for our family of four. The kids loved the loft. The breakfast was delicious - plenty of food and options to suit our party. The staff was very friendly and happy to provide recommendations and answer questions.

The bathroom and furnishings were a bit dated. This is not a big deal for our family, but some might find it off-putting. Also, the cottage has its own entrance, which is immediately off a small courtyard that is accessible to anyone walking around town. We felt secure during our stay, but again, this could be off-putting for some.

The perfect place steeped in WWII history

Our room was located "outside " of the main building. We had to walk outside, across a courtyard and up 23 slippery metal stairs to get to our room. There is no parking and you had to scour the neighborhood for a parking spot and then feed the meter! Also the lock on our door was tricky and took a Staff member several tries to get it to lock. Finally, the tiles in our bathroom had fallen off and were taped back on with scotch tape!!!

Breakfast had a good selection of pastries, cheese, cold cuts fruit coffee etc. Plenty of everything. The staff were super friendly and welcoming especially Carole on reception and Marianne in breakfast room was so so helpful. Made our stay. Hope to return. Caroline was so good organising evening meals for us in different restaurants around the hotel. All superb.

If there were evening meal facilities it would have been the icing on the cake but a pretty small thing to complain about.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the town. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff. The tapestry museum, cathedral and war museum are all only a short walk away. The air conditioning was great during a hot spell of weather, and they were very accommodating with me dropping luggage before check in.

The only poor thing was that in my particular room (No 3) the wifi signal was virtually non-existent so I ended up using my own data. I expect it was a quirk of my room

I wanted a hotel in Bayeux for my family (7 adults) that was convenient to all the attractions in the town. The Churchill website does not do justice to the hotel, the rooms were terrific (we had 4 rooms), and the Staff were absolutely fantastic. I speak French but my family does not, it was never an issue. There were great restaurants a few steps from the hotel so it was easy to satisfy everyone's desire for meals.

I didn't like the fact that I was sick (fever) during my stay, but accommodation made riding out my illness much easier. The bathroom was fantastic, with a great shower, a large room, and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bayeux.

Very convenient for all local attractions. Our family room in annex was great as it had a mezzanine level for our teen son. Loved the historic artefacts relating to WW2 - the hotel was a hospital at time of DDay.

Terrible internet connection in our room, which was a problem as my husband was working. The hairdryer in our room was weak too. The staff could have been a bit more welcoming.

Location was wonderful, in the heart of Bayeux, with ample public parking close by. We enjoyed a newly refurbished garden level suite, which was perfect for our family of four. The staff at the hotel was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast each morning before making our way to the beaches and Mt.-Saint-Michel.
