2 room suite plus a full bath in an 18th century french house with exclusive and private parking in a lovely garden. Walking distance to town with the option to drive and easy on/off to the main road taking us to the Normandy beaches, Mont Saint Michel, Etretat, and Honfleur. Caen an easy driving distance as well. Traditional French breakfast was tasty and plentiful with the added bonus of conferring with our wonderful host, Marie. She gave us tips and advice as we navigated our sight-seeing. Stores for necessities very close.

This is the best B&B place on our 2 weeks trip in France. Marie’s home is warm, comfortable, roomy and spotless with a lovely garden. The daily breakfast was excellent with fresh food and always a homemade surprise. The home is in a perfect location and only a short walk/drive to the city center. Private gated parking is a big plus. We felt extremely welcome from the moment we walked in the door. We left 2 books at the house and Marie went out of her way to make shipping arrangements for us. Her willingness to help is greatly appreciated. If you are in the Bayeux area, we highly recommend her place to stay!!

This is the picture perfect French B&B! The 200+ year old home is spotless, comfortable, and exudes French charm. The hostess, Marie, is a warm and caring woman who went out of her way to make us feel like we were part of her family. The included breakfast was abundant. Fresh oj, pastries, cheeses, and always a special homemade treat. You know it’s a wonderful place when you are sad to leave. This is highly recommended. We have stayed in 7 places on our France trip and this is by far our favorite.

The house and gardens are beautiful and our apartment was very comfy, clean and spacious. We enjoyed relaxing with a drink in the peaceful garden in the evening. Marie is the perfect hostess making us feel at home and providing helpful advice and a delicious breakfast! A great location for travel to Dday beaches and short stroll into town. Highly recommend a stay at Le Grand Arbre!!

The guest suite is exactly as pictured: spacious, spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts are large, delicious and beautifully presented, with fresh fruits and juices, coffee, cheeses, breads and homemade pastries. The common spaces of the house are lovely, including the dining room and a huge walled garden with a picnic table, sun loungers and armchairs. The location is very convenient, just off the main road leading to all the sights outside Bayeux, yet totally quiet and an easy 10 minute walk to the center of Bayeux. Most important, Marie-Violaine is a kind, attentive and welcoming host. Merci beaucoup!

Very peaceful and quaint. Large apartment with living room ensuite and oversized bedroom. Sitting area in garden. Onsite parking gated property. Best part though is Host Marie. She is a lovely person. Every morning she would have breakfast ready for us in her dining room. Easy walk into town and tapestry.

THE breakfastwas wonderful. We appreciated the recommendations of our host. Liked that our car was inside the gate. We could walk to restaurants. Tea was available in the room. It was very spacious with a small living room Anda small dining table in th bedroom.

The B&B is on a beautiful estate with a very large garden. Our room consisted of a sitting room, spacious bathroom, and big bedroom. The décor of the room and of the house was amazing. The B&B is within walking distance of the city center. Marie, the host, was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was not large, but very delicious and everyday there was a homemade treat.

I recommend adding fruit and yogurt to breakfast.

Good location, easy to find, short walk to centre of Bayeux. This is a beautiful old house graced with a fine gingko biloba tree in the front garden. The rooms were spacious, the bed comfy and the breakfast delicious. Thank you, we will come again.
