Hotel is very central to Bayeux and great for a location to cover all the Normandy / D day exhibits. There is a good size secure court yard at the rear with a key pad entry , we had motorcycles so this was very comforting to know the bikes were safe. My room over looked the car park and it was very quite and comfy. liked the coffee machine in the room and the bottled water was another nice touch. Rooms were cleaned well every day and the beds were really comfy and of a good size. All the staff I spoke to were pleasent and friendy, even with my rather bad French language skills. Interesting fact the hotel was comendered by the germans in the 2nd world war as a brothel, learnt that from a tour guide. Obviously nothing like that occurs here now its just an interseting fact. The counter current pool and the spa are a nice touch. Very happy with the price I paid. I would stay again.

If I was being really picky I would have loved a gym but its not the end of the world, really did like this hotel.

The location. The breakfast choice (although needed more bread). Nice coffee - essential. 😊 The pool area. Reception staff very helpful responding to a few seperate subject messages prior to arrival. eg. very kindly booked a table for dinner for us when I couldn't get through to chosen restaurant.

Not enough 'dressing table/desk top' space or drawers in the bedroom. No air con (although windows were able to open well for good ventilation). Toilet roll 'sheets' (like in school) that get stuck in the dispenser rather than a toilet roll holder. Terrace for evening drinks in the sunshine prior to dinner would be nice. 😊

The location of the hotel is perfect, only a few steps to the main thoroughfare, with shops and restaurants in easy reach. It was also very well located for many of the local attractions such the Bayeux Tapestry. The parking was good, with great security for the motorcycles. The room was a little small and it became very hot, but a cooling fan was provided. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were helpful. The small pool was a really welcome facility, as the weather during our stay was warm.

The breakfast was good, but you had to eat early. If you arrived towards the end of the service, many food items were not replenished, such as the bread and fruit salad.

The property is gorgeous. The staff are wonderful and breakfast was excellent. The position of this hotel is perfect and it included (paid) parking. As we stayed for 5 nights with a car this was really a bonus, particularly when keeping the position of the hotel in mind.

Well, part of this was my fault… I booked a room and it turned out to the two single beds. The photo and thankfully I had captured it in order to easily access the booking showed a double / queen. If I had double checked the detail but I did not. The biggest problem however, was that our room was essentially in the loft of the hotel, and the elevator only went to the third floor! Dragging suitcases up that floor was no fun! I must have hit my head at least ten times on the slanted ceiling…my side of the bed being closest to the window. Staff tried very hard to make a change. We could see the place was packed. To our surprise, staff let us know the photo had been corrected, AND when we checked out, the cost of our breakfasts had been deleted!!! That left a VERY good taste in our mouths!!

We stayed at Hotel de Brunville in Bayeux and found it to be a very functional, straightforward option for our party of five, on our drive back to Calais. We had two rooms, and everything was clean, calm, and well-maintained. Our andult kids enjoyed the outdoor pool, as a break from our driving. The showers were nice, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast offered plenty of options to suit different tastes, which we appreciated. The best part of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It’s just steps away from the main street of Bayeux, so as soon as you step outside, you’re greeted by the beauty and medieval architecture that make this town so special. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area. One minor downside was the shared reception between Hotel de Brunville and another neighboring hotel. It was a little confusing at first when we had to figure out which building our rooms were in, but once we found our way, everything was fine. The supporting staff were. Dry friendly. Overall, a good, quiet stay in a fantastic location for anyone looking to explore Bayeux, and driving around France

Receptionists were a bit wooden, and didn’t make much effort to guide us as newly arrived guests.

The location was excellent - right in the centre of Bayeux, a 5 min walk from the Cathedral, and next door to a car park. The room was spacious and modern, with a large bathroom. Tea. coffee and water were provided in the room. It was very comfortable. It was a bonus to have the small pool with outdoor seating, unexpected in the city centre location, and the good weather meant we were able to use this facility.

The extortionate cost of breakfast at 17 euros each. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel. Also the cost of parking which was 16 euros a day. Again, we didn't need to use the hotel parking as there was a very good and reasonable car park next door to the hotel. There is no restaurant in the hotel, so we had to walk into town to eat in the evening.

The staff was at all times helpful and friendly. I would like to specifically highlight Coline, who took care to learn how to make my favorite iced coffee for me and remember the recipe from day to day. We always liked to see her at the front desk. Take care not to lose her!

I found the hair dryer difficult to use as I have problems with my hands and struggled to hold the switch on. One without this feature, even if it is only used outside the bathroom, would be much easier.

This hotel is a sister hotel to the Hotel Luxembourg. The reception area is the same for both. The room I stayed in was tight even for one person. The room was clean but fairly generic. The breakfast was good but the breakfast room was pretty charmless. The hotel seemed a less expensive alternative to the Hotel Luxembourg, which was a good option for me. You had use of the heated pool, but it was fairly small.

Small rooms.

Location fantastic. Modern bathroom, Nespresso machine with pods enough for the days we stayed.Room serviced promptly. Although room size a little small adequate for our needs. Tip is to park in the public parking close to the hotel. Free from 7pm to 9am. Parking only cost us 7 euro for our 2 day stay

The dormer in the room getting out of bed needed to be careful not to bang your head. The hairdryer not very powerful, no extractor fan.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked 2 rooms for our family of 4. We missed having AC because both rooms looked out over a parking lot and it was noisy with the window open. Pool was heated and we enjoyed it. The hot tub was out of service, we didn't know before we arrived. Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shops, cathedral and tapestry museum. All in all, a nice stay.
