I really liked the location. Had a great bar right next door. The area was quiet but was very close to the downtown business area with many cafes, etc. The owner/manager was terrific. One of us has a gluten allergy and he went to a store to purchase some gluten-free items for breakfast! He was always available for any issues/questions.

Like many hotels in Europe, there was no air conditioning. Fortunately we were in weather where we could just open the window and stay comfortable. But of course, in a heat wave it would have been a bit difficult.

The owner is very friendly. I had come on Christmas when every shop was closed. He arranged an electric cycle for me to tour the Doom's Day beaches and also gave me tips for food. Without his support, it would have been impossible for me to tour the city during the holidays. The rooms are comfortable and provide for necessities. As everyone would generally be touring the city during the day, the room is perfect for a good night's sleep later. It's close by from the train station (20 min walk) and makes it right on spot for good morning/evening walks to the train station in case you're checking in/out early morning/late evening.

Drinking water could've been more accessible

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was great. The freshest selection of pastries, with Norman cheeses, jams and wonderful honey. There are many other things but the pastries alone are worth it. However, the true gem is the owners. We've never met such kind, friendly, fun, welcoming and helpful people. Our tour of Omaha Beach was canceled and Michel went out of his way to salvage our trip. He found a taxi, got us a round trip there and back for a good price and saved the day because we ended up having a special morning at the beach and cemetery. I'd truly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The hotel location was very convenient and the room was beautifully appointed. The beds (my room actually had three!) were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. Although my French-language skills are very poor, the very friendly lady at reception did her best to communicate with me and gave me a lot of information about the area and the attractions in the neighborhood — she was very patient with me and proved to be extremely helpful.

I was surprised to find that there was no running water during the middle of the night. I'm not sure if that was specific to the hotel or to the neighborhood, and maybe it was mentioned somewhere and I missed it, but I am a night owl, so it was a little bit shocking not to be able to wash after midnight. Once I realized it was not a onetime thing, I was able to prepare for it the next night. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and recommend the hotel highly.

The room was fully refurbished, very stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very central and even though our room faced the main road it wasn't noisy. The staff was very helpful, and happy to welcome our dog. The breakfast was the typical french breakfast with some excellent croissants and good coffee.

The bathroom was new, but it still had some unfinished details. Everything worked, but it was slightly unsettling to see protruding pipes, and the shower head was broken.

Location: easily accessible to the center of town, restaurant, and other services. Staff: Marylene, the primary staff person, was extremely responsive, helpful, and courteous. Room: we room was spacious, well lit, and very clean. Breakfast: typical European breakfast; not a lot of choices but, this gives you the opportunity to eat more in the economy! It was a perfect amount and type (protein) for the morning to start off your day.

Television with not working. The satellite that supported the English-speaking channels was not working and couldn't be fixed within the timeframe of our visit.

Was a delightful hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and attentive. Loved the woodbeams on the ceilings and the staircase really showed the beautiful history of the building. Lively square on the weekends and in the evenings, and we enjoyed some live jazz from our room's windows from the corner bistro below. We ordered the triple room for just the two of us, since it was the only one available, and we enjoyed the extra space. Ceilings are really high and it was fun to hang out in the room with our own wine and cheese after a day of sightseeing.

Was great. The room was recently renovated/redecorated (was beautifully done), so it still had a strong chemical smell from maybe the glue or wallpaper adhesives. I'm more sensitive to smells than most, but my husband didn't mind at all. A few warm-weather bums and their dogs hangout on the benches outside the hotel near the shops, but they're harmless and don't let them bother you.

The woman who ran the hotel provided excellent service. The breakfast was also worth the 10 euros per person. The rooms are very clean. The hotel looks a bit suspicious from the outside, but inside, it is clean and friendly. The hotel sits right in the center of Bayeux. While it does not have parking, there is free parking within walking distance behind the police station. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends or to stay again. However, if stairs are an issue - there is no elevator. There is also no AC, This is pretty normal for northern europe. A fan was provided in each room.

Nothing.

The structure of the building is obviously old and historical, but it has been updated with subtle touches. It's very clean, the staff was wonderfully helpful. It's located in the heart of Bayeux, accessible to historical sites, restaurants, and shopping. I was overjoyed when I drove up to the building and saw its location and beauty.

The Mogador is a wonderful little traditional French hotel. The breakfast, served in the courtyard, was delicious and an excellent value. The people at the hotel are friendly and helpful in suggesting things to do in the area. The town has a great information office just a little away from the hotel which is another great resource for finding local attractions.
