I booked on the basis of a very good experience several months ago at the Campanile Montparnasse in Paris. The rooms are always clean, small, but adequate for a short stay and good value. The staff in Bayeux were friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided a reasonably good choice of options, though not as broad a choice as when I stayed in Paris. The location is good and within easy walking distance of the town and other amenities. All in all I'd use Campanile again and I would stay there for future visits to Bayeux should they occur. The gardens and flower beds were also lovely. The surroundings are important.

I suppose I missed somewhere to sit and relax for a bit, perhaps even get a drink. After returning from town it would have been nice to have a small nightcap before going to bed. I appreciate there was a small covered space outside behind the breakfast room, but a small space indoors would have been nice. Otherwise, everything was good. It's a small point and I appreciate the space available is limited.

The room was very clean and tidy, a little smaller than I thought I was going to get. I did request a room with easier access, due to mobility issues and was able to have a room on the ground floor. Breakfast was an excellent choice of continental fayre. The location was excellent with it being about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bayeux.

The only issue for me was the bathroom, which didn't have a shower cubicle, so made things a little awkward for me due to mobilty issues, as the bath itself was quite deep but for any able bodied individual it would have been perfectly fine.

The breakfast was convenient and very good, included some hot breakfast items. The location was great, easily walkable to old town area for sightseeing. Also, on outskirts of town so easy to get to and plenty of parking. Close to gas stations and grocery stores.

Rooms were small, but very typical for the area. Had some difficulty due to some of the staff did not speak English, our problem..not theirs, but did cause an issue on checkout regarding our bill, but it was easily resolved.

Ideally located for town and D Day tourism. Hotel clean and tidy but basic but thats to be expected in that price range and our reason for booking it. Food was excellent. Parking can be a little busy and parking spaces quite tight. Overall an excellent choice if on a budget with the only minor gripe being that the smart TV in the room wasnt linked to internet and therefore things like youtube not usable on it so stuck with French standard TV channels or phones for bedtime viewing.

Just a shame about the in room TV not being linked to internet. Other than that it was great and a perfect choice for us.

Great location for an overnight stay when travelling in the Cherbourg ferry. A nice welcome at reception on check-in. Really comfortable beds, warm room, good showering set up and good choice for breakfast plus easy parking. We were travelling with two small/medium sized dogs and there were food areas to walk them nearby.

My sister was in a room for guests with limited mobility. The bathroom has been redone and was without a heater. We fed back this back to the hotel, so hopefully that and a few other small issues will be resolved.

From reception right through to the evening meals the staff and service was very good and the rooms comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and set you up for the day. The location is excellent for exploring the town and cathedral on foot. Also for the sites of the D Day landing beaches etc. by car or bike/motor cycle.

I have no adverse comments about this accommodation.

The location was brilliant, just a 7 min walk into Bayeux town which is a beautiful town. We were able to get to all the DDay beaches and museums with ease from here. The breakfast was great, fresh croissants and bread, pancakes, omelettes, choice of cereals, fruits, yogurts etc. Plenty choice to fill up on to start your day. The rooms were reasonable size and a very good shower. Clean towels everyday.

The evening menu didn’t give too much choice and vegetarian option was minimal. They could have done with more staff as quit busy on some days with guests. The bed for me was rather hard but that’s just me, everyone else had good sleeps. A small moan would be to have proper mugs in rooms rather than paper cups.

Disabled unit requested to cater for the needs of my wife. well placed as one of the shortest routes to the car park and restaurant. Breakfast was a good selection of foods and drink. Evening meals were by and large of good quality. Location is great for that stroll into the centre for fascinating sites and restaurants. Huge history on the doorstep, ancient and modern. House keepers did a great job and were extremely polite and friendly.

One annoyance with the room though, The basin would not hold water, automatic tap would not deliver hot water, and would not stop spraying water every time you came anywhere near the apparatus. Cold wash or nice hot shower. Shower chosen obviously. But, please repair tap. Washing hands after visiting the toilet is quite important and made better with hot water.

Great location to walk into Bayeux town. Room was clean and comfortable. Kettle with tea, coffee and milk (enough fur one cup of each).

Expensive - but then it was just coming up to D-Day 80 commemorations. The restaurant is rather a clinical room so we didn’t eat there. 15 minutes walk into town for a good selection of restaurants, particularly La Normand.

Comfortable bed, great shower, and excellent bathroom lighting. Beautiful view of the cathedral.

The location was mixed. It was a lovely country setting, but it was a 15-minute walk into town. Most people had cars, but parking in the town of Bayeux is very limited.
