A most delightful period building set in beautiful gardens opposite a parkland area, but also just a street away from the town centre, shops and market square. The Cathedral, tapestry and local restaurants and cafes are only a 7 minute walk away. Parking is free outside the house so this makes it an ideal location for exploring the beautiful old town and its numerous attractions. Despite the central location, Le Petit Martin is tranquil and the night times are quiet. We had two blissful nights' undisturbed sleep there- wished we could've stayed longer. Pascal remains the perfect host and his superbly delicious home-baked Normandy breakfast is a feast in itself and sets you up for the day. The delightful 4 bedroom guest house is tastefully furnished in period style while retaining the comfort of modern bathrooms. Our room was huge and had duel aspect windows, very clean and quiet. The weekend was superb, a great place to stay for visiting the War Graves and other Normandy attractions all within an hour of the location . This is our 4th stay at Le Petit Martin and we will definitely be back!

No long mirror in the bedroom or bathroom, although several smaller ones. But everything else wonderful. Couldn't fault it.

The hotel and our rooms were exquisite! The hotel's main rooms are so beautiful and the breakfast was incredible -- varied, delicious, with homemade jams excellent croissants and savory foods as well. We had three rooms and they were exceptionally comfortable, the bathrooms were very large, showers were great, lots of places to put our stuff and spread out and lots of closet space. Perfectly located between the Cathedral and tapestry and the WWII museum and British cemetery. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Bayeux -- and in all of Normandy.

The only issue is that, as the building is hundreds of years old, there is no elevator. We were on the first floor but there is a room on the ground floor where no elevator would be needed. It was not a problem to get our luggage up the stairs.

Beautiful bed & breakfast guest home. Renovated in 18th century house with historic park across street. Quiet at night as located in residential area of town. Large room and comfortable beds. Lots of closet space. Fantastic french style breakfast with Normandy cheese assortment, fresh baked croissants, fruits, coffee, etc. Set in charming decorated kitchen and dining rooms, with view to the flowers lawns in the back garden. Well situated, lots of parking on streets. 15mn walk from train station. 7-10mn walk to city center, cathedral, museums, eateries, shops. Staff is helpful with all your inquiries.

Wifi not available at certain hours of night. You may have to connect to internet in some other ways if you need for urgent matters. Perhaps not a major problem as it maybe a good idea to turn off internet for rest time.

Perfect location, just across a park from the Bayeux cathedral, and a beautiful home with lovely rooms and decor. our host, Pascal, was congenial and charming, serving a delicious breakfast and offering suggestions for dining and sightseeing. We had a lovely 3n stay in Bayeux, and would definitely recommend this charming B&B.

Very minor issues- the bath towels were a bit rough, and I would recommend adding a suction cup soap/shampoo tray inside the shower, as we had to balance the little bottles on the central fixture, and they kept falling to the shower floor.

Pleasurable visit. The location was a short walk to most areas in the town and across from a town park. The host was very nice and gave us recommendations for places to eat. The back yard was spacious and beautiful, we spent time out there enjoying it. The room was spacious and well kept with a beautiful view of the back gardens. Breakfast was enjoyable. The first day we were alone and the host, Pascal, entertained us. The second day we ate with other guests. Overall a very enjoyable experience, highly recommended.

The breakfasts were excellent, as were the rooms, location and the overall ambiance of the home. The most extraordinary thing about Le Petit Matin is the owner, Pascal; he is a true professional in the field of hospitality! Always friendly and eager to help visitors, we couldn’t have asked for a better host. He made a few recommendations for us - to visit Saint Malo after Mont Saint Michel, and dine in Cancale; both were excellent. We highly recommend Pascal and Le Petit Matin for anyone visiting Normandy.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel/B&B. We stayed in a gorgeous suite, just as you would expect in a chateau with a chandelier, fireplace and a pink chaise lounge. The bathroom was gorgeous too. It was so easy to stroll across the park and walk 5 mins into central Bayeux. Pascal the owner was such a lovely host and gave us lots of recommendations. The breakfast in the stunning dining room was amazing with so much choice and it was lovely to chat to fellow travellers each morning. We absolutely loved it here and would love to come back one day as we didn't have enough time to visit everything we wanted to in this wonderful area with so much history. I would strongly recommend this stunning B&B to anyone.

I cannot rate this property highly enough. A boutique B&B with character and charm. The rooms are beautiful, lovely views out the windows. Very generous sized. Breakfast was delicious - served in a dining room - croissants, fresh bread and jams, fresh baked goods from the host, yoghurt, coffee/tea/juice. Location is fantastic - walking distance to centre of Bayeux, the cathedral and restaurants and shops. Our host Pascal was very helpful. Would love to stay here again.

Wifi was intermittent. Parking on the street can be difficult.

Beautifully decorated Manor House in a lovely location - right in centre of Bayeux - yet our Sat nav found it easily! Though central, very quiet, since it overlooks a large grassy square (with good parking opportunities) and has its own lovely garden, with lots of seating… Loved the well thought-out décor of our room and its beautiful bathroom (and we weren’t even in one of the top rooms…) Pascal is a very helpful, but not intrusive host, who provides a great breakfast and good local information. Wish we had been staying longer.

Would like to have been able to check in before 6pm - perhaps you can check in during the 12-2 window for opening - should have checked this …

Every attention to detail has been made in this lovely little BnB. Our host was very helpful, attentive and provided excellent suggestions for our stay. We enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable bed, and amazing shower. The breakfast was delicious. We would happily return to Bayeux and stay here again!

There was some road noise from our room, but with the windows shut it was essentially soundproof.
