The location is perfect and the staff is exceptional. Loved the courtyard in late afternoon and wonderful view of the cathedral from our room. Buffet breakfast is good but a little pricey! There are great places within 5 minutes to pick up pastries and get coffee. We had wonderful tours of Normandy and Mont Saint-Michel. We did not book through hotel but they can make all arrangements for you to take these tours. Their staff is extraordinarily responsive.

The location and the staff were 10++. Loved them all. The hotel was also very clean and they went above and beyond to satisfy, which was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend.

The pull out couch was really our only compliant. It was not comfortable. Not sure if there is such a thing a comfortable one, but that was our only issue. I did not give the highest for value, but some of that was timing. When I was able to book early, I had a great rate. Unfortunately, when I booked within a month of wanting to stay, coupled with the time of year, the price was much higher. That being said, the staff and their hospitality made it worth the extra.

Beautiful location and lovely staff. The room was spacious and well appointed. The location was marvelous with so many attractions close by. I was able to walk to the Tapestry museum and the meeting checkpoint for my DDay tour was around the corner. I loved it all! Thank you Villa Lara staff for the great hospitality!

Small boutique hotel with a service truly above and beyond. Just one example: when I was driving up to the car park in front of the hotel, two staff members were already standing outside and waiting to grate me. Only downside I can think of is the breakfast can use some variety, however the bar has a lot of drinks to choose from , Including some excellent calavados.

Everything about Villa Lara was fantastic! The location was convenient, the hotel itself had spacious, comfortable rooms, with great amenities. The best part about the Villa Lara Hotel was the staff. Muriel, Julian, and Kimberly were all wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Lara Hotel. The facility is great! The room is very comfortable with great amenities. The bed and linens were great and the room was silent for a good night’s sleep. It’s a short walk to the town center with good options for dining, shopping and sightseeing. All that a wonderful staff made our stay a success!

The location of Villa Lara was perfect! There were several restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The staff was incredible. The owner took us on a tour of the city which was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is also in a perfect location to meet tour companies for the Normandy WWII tours. Outstanding stay!

There is absolutely nothing that they could do better. We felt very safe and cared for during our entire stay. Everyone knew our names and greeted us with a smile.

Breakfast was wonderful in the on site breakfast room. Staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. Great location, spacious room and bathroom. Gated parking on site. There is no dinner restaurant on site which we were informed of when making the reservations and did not negatively impact our visit - the staff did an excellent job in making dinner reservations for us to restaurants that were easily walkable.

I highly recommend Villa Lara as a place to stay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and the food is outstanding. The location is also perfect and there is safe parking on the property.
