What a hidden gem this Inn is! It is right on the way to Bodega Bay and if you don't want to pay those $250+/night prices just to lay your head, then this is the place. No frills, very clean, large room (we had a king by the pool). Coffee maker, glasses, mugs and a small microwave. The bed was a bit firm for our taste, but we still slept well due to the lovely walk through Armstrong Woods that afternoon and an incredible dinner at nearby (walking distance) Hazel (order the pot roast!!) Occidental is a cute town, but most things are open closer to the weekend so check ahead if you are planning to be there during the week re restaurants/shopping.

We were thoroughly impressed with our stay. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and included a tabletop desk, which was a pleasant and practical surprise. The beds were ultra comfortable, each with four pillows of varying thickness so everyone could find their perfect level of support. We stayed in a double room and slept wonderfully. The location of the hotel was truly spectacular. The view from our room, like all the rooms we believe, overlooked a stunning landscape of trees surrounding the quaint town of Occidental. We were able to leave our car parked and walk to all the charming local spots, restaurants, and shops. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they even offered us a generous early check-in since our room was ready. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Great reception from Ryder, a charming, affable and gracious host. Comfy bed, nice space and view. Good workspace. we are veteran travel writers, stay in hotels worldwide half the year. We appreciate Ryder and his personalized connection with guests.

One criticism of an otherwise positive stay. Tripped on top step going to second floor. My builder husband says it is a code violation based on new commercial standards...too high, trip hazard...I took a nasty header and sprained my right wrist trying to break the fall. It is dangerous....the only black mark on a lovely visit with pretty view.

Location excellent. Staff very friendly. Very much appreciated the upgrade to the new redwood suite. Clean!

The mattresses not so comfy but made worse by the cover that is clearly waterproof but is very loud and coarse with any movement in the bed and makes it feel like sleeping on a plastic tarp. What you didnt invest in a high end mattress I would in a foam pad that is far more comfortable. Otherwise that beautiful room will only be remembered for the poor nights sleep. . Consider little packets of instant coffee because of the microwave? And maybe some tea options.

Very nice, newly renovated, large room, with a window view of pool and trees. The area is adorable, with its old town charm. Was a scenic drive from Bodega Bay, with amazing views. Felt like a step back in time, with prices from the present day. Overall we made memories, enjoyed family, and eat well.

Bathroom could of been larger, hard to close door to use toilet area. Room has plenty of space to expand. The king size bed needed sheets that covered the entire mattress, we were short sheeted.

Great location, peaceful , quiet, even though it seemed like it was a full house, staff was pleasant accommodating helpful, great ice machine !!that was a big bonus , I used it every dayclean pool plenty of seating around the pool gorgeous view

The only thing that I could say, I didn’t like was a little mold on the showerhead other than that everything was pretty good for me

Remodeled room was very clean. Great location - within walking distance from grocery stores, restaurant. I liked that the floor wasn't carpet. Had a lot of parking spots.

Could use more toiletry items in the room such as shower cap, lotion. Also, would have been nice to have a small closet or more hooks to hang things on.

Charming location perched on hill above town. Interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance. Atmosphere very relaxed and laid back. Staff could not be more accommodating. Very clean.

Great location, clean, staff friendly and very helpful. They upgraded our room for my friends birthday. They had a great market going across the street. Centrally located and in the middle of all the happenings. Will be back!

It is on a hill so if you don’t like stairs and climbing up a hill to get to your hotel this isn’t the place to stay. It didn’t bother us but I would say that’s the only draw back to this place.

The furnishings in the small suite were lacking- only 3 people could sit & watch TV. Another comfortable couch would have been great. The TV was very old & fuzzy. The bedrooms were nice but living & kitchenette were lacking.
